Very poor customer service. Asked if I could leave my car on the lot and was told â€œAbsolutely not don't you see the signâ€ instead of politely saying unfortunately no. Tank was not half full when picked up but required to bring back half full. Also had a hard time finding truck because I told the wrong place to find the truck on the lot. Received no receipt. The truck broke down right across the street from the location. We stayed with the truck for 90 minutes waiting for roadside assistance. I was assured I wouldn't be charged for the inconvenience and instead I was charged an additional amount for a late return. I was given a truck with the check engine light on and the front seat would not adjust l. I went back in to return the vehicle the manager just took the keys and gave me another key without any paperwork or inspection of the vehicle. I was told the gas was at half a tank but when I inspected it it was not. I told another person who identified himself as a manager about the amount of gas in the vehicle he said okay that's cool. I asked bout retuning the vehicle and was told just put the key in the drop box. I have no documentation of my use of the vehicle the process was very unprofessionalALMA M.

I plan on reaching out to the BBB as when I came to pick up the truck, I was asked if I was returning the truck to this location. I replied no, I have it set up to where I drop this off at the Lorton Virginia location as specified from what was set up and agreed upon on the internet webpage. The associate told me no "that's not happening, this is to be brought back to this location" my reply was so I'm moving from Baltimore to VA and had an agreement online and now you're saying I have to drive up over an hour to bring a truck back. Now granted as a customer I was stuck between a rock and a hard place due to this was my move day. So I spent extra time fighting traffic coming back up and spending double the money in gas. This is a horrible from top to bottom. Not to mention when I returned the truck after hours, it would allow me to use the app becaue somebody at uhaul didn't put the correct mileage in the computer. So everytime Inputed the data of the mileage it said this mileage is less then when the vehicle left. This was the worse experience ever. I honestly want someone from U haul to reach out and make this right, if not I'll be going to the BBB in the next week.William B.

The van was in total disrepair, the headlight switch was pushed into the dash, and hardly able to switch on or off. The cab smelled heavy of smoking, and when we hit a bumpy area on the highway, it felt like the van was going to fly off the road with the flopping tires. I've rented several times in the past, from the big van to the truck. This is the first time I've rented a van that was unsafe to drive. This location saw that the wiring harness needed attention in their pre-inspection before I hooked up to pull the trailer away for my rental. They had the district repair truck quickly arrive and give a thorough inspection and brought the trailer up to perfect condition all within totally reasonable 20 minutes so that I had complete confidence that I was going to have a trouble free experience. The staff was professional and very friendly. I would definitely recommend others to rent from this location.KEVIN C.

I waited in line for 45 minutes for my truck. I saw several people be very rude to the manager during that process so decided I would give him a break. He was there alone at 9am on a Saturday- one of the busiest pick-up times- this is and of itself seems outrageous to me. I went to the first truck he assigned me and it was blocked in by another truck. He had to come move it while 8 more people were waiting in line. I pulled up the pictures on the phone to confirm the state of the vechile, and the pictures showed a smashed in driver's side window and mirror, glass all over the front seat. I went and raised the truck door and the back was a disgusting disaster- completely torn up, dirt everywhere. I kindly requested another vehicle. While waiting for the manager to change my contract to the updated vehicle another truck hit it and dented the back. I took photos of the dent to confirm it was there beforehand. The second truck looked cleaner but when I got in the parking break was basically hanging by the wires- I also took a picture of that. The parking lot was insanely crowded, there was no organization to the process. When I returned the truck he didn't even look at it, he just said "leave the keys in the car." Overall, it was just a completely unorganized operation and the trucks are all beat up and dirty- not a great customer experience.Gabrielle G.

Hi I had a terrible experience with U-Haul. I had to get swapped because my first truck smelled like smoke, then the second truck wouldn't start, so they had no more 10 footers I had to pay more money to rent a 15-footer instead and that smell like smoke which gave me a headache the whole way.
