I guess one small thing bothered me, I couldn't find the drop off box returning the key. So after about a good 20 minutes I finally found an area in a door that allowed one to leave the key! The snow, ice, and other trucks made it difficult but in my searching there were no directions to be where the drop is. I thought this was very odd.Charles M.

The line was long and one of the workers. An older white lady on 1/12/22. Perhaps a manger just walked around and messed with boxes and pretended to be busy while we waited in line for over twenty minutes. My encounter took 1 minutes. Followed the return instructions on my receipt exactly as printed. No dropbox in sight. Went to UHaul office up the street and was told I parked in overflow and needed to move it. I did so. Returned to the office. Clerk said all he needed was the key. As I was leaving, clerk came out to the car and asked my last name. Said I checked in incorrectly and was rude. I asked for a receipt. He said it was emailed. I asked for a hard copy. He gave me one but the rude attitude continued. Have another move in a few months and will not be returning.Neal L.

Thanks so much! Switched out our truck due to battery malfunction on first and had trouble with the phone system after the numbers didn't match up with the contract truck info (couldn't reach the actual store & the national phone center person we reached didn't understand the problem). The UX for drop on the mobile device is horrible especially considering the drop off location for the vehichle is at a completely different lot so once you drop the vehichle then drive over to the drop box at the office location it is too late to complete the prompted photos. Even if you take pictures ot the photo prior outside of the app there is no option to upload those photos it requries you to take them through the app only.KEVIN C.

The staff were doing the best they could, I'm sure they're understaffed so it's not necessarily on them. But checking in and picking up things i purchased is always a nightmare here. Always. It just takes forever. Also this time they gave the dolly away that I reserved, they said they're first come first serve, but shouldn't my reservation count as first come? I already reserved it... And had no reason to think it wouldn't be there when I came to pickup the truck. The truck was fine and the staff was nice, but it's so chaotic in there. This time they had lost some keys and couldn't help us until they found them, etc.ASHLEY B.
Great staff here. I only have a car and do not like to ask or wait on others for a truck or van. I often need to move something to my storage unit & just need a cargo van for an hour. I still haven't received a receipt. No one came to inspect the vehicle before i left the lot. Was told someone would assist me and no one did help locate the vehicle. I'm not sure what the milage was that they had before i left. But i had 148798 on miles when i left.MEGAN V.

We rent trucks frequently and this was the worst experience we've had at the Metcalf location (or any UHaul for that matter). The truck was dirty - the back had to be swept out before I could use it. The truck radio randomly came on when driving at a very high volume, startling me in rush hour traffic. NOT COOL The driver's door had to be slammed to shut - not a safe feeling. Location indoor staff was pleasant the gentleman who was on the lot was not and brushed off my concerns about the door as "I got it to shut". He did, after multiple attemtps. *eye rollAmber B.
The staff was great. The online check in experience was horrid. I took the time to upload my license in advance but had to do it again upon checking in. I sat in the truck waiting for approval to go thru- it never did. Went inside, waited in line, and was told my driver photo was denied because I was wearing a hat and the technology doesn't work. What!? Why would that not be in the instructions? Don't many people wear a ball cap on moving day?!Megan H.

I reserved the Uhaul for six hours on a Monday. It was due back at 8:00. I picked it up late, around 5:00 and turned it back in at 7:15. Two hours. Did the online return process. The employee was leaving and told me to put the key in a hole in the wall outsideâ€¦super weird. Three days later I get three calls, first thing in the morning, and a voicemail telling me that I need to return the truckâ€¦which was parked 20 feet in front of the office in the exact spot I got it from, because it was â€œdue back Monday morningâ€, 10 hours BEFORE I even picked it up. When I called the number they left I got a random Uhaul customer service person who told me I had reserved it for two days and I should contact the location I rented it from which was what I was trying to do and I definitely did not rent it for two days. I don't even know where they got any of that from. She said she'd fix it and I didn't hear anything else so I assume everything is fine now but what a mess.DANIELLE W.

Only saw one guy workin there that actually looked busy. Other dude behind the counter didn't do anything till there was a problem. Then there was a guy wandering around, playing music out loud on his phone, hood up, just honestly acting like he didn't give a shit what was going on around him. I had to pick up a truck by 6pm. I got there a few minutes early to do the mobile check in. Didn't realize how much of a pain that would actually be, and it was pending approval (even though I have rented numerous times from you all in the past). I went inside and asked the guy behind the counter why it was pending, and he was helpful in getting my reservation completed. Told me the truck would be pulled around out front. So now I'm already way beyond when I thought I'd be leaving, needing to get to multiple places before 8pm. I wait outside the front of the store for 15min. Dude wandering around with his hood never brings my 10' truck to me. I was tryin to be patient, because I know a lot of these kids are overworked right now, but I was (and did) going to miss one of my destinations before they closed. Went in and asked the guy behind the counter if the dude with the hood knew I was coming to pick up the truck and was waiting. He looked confused. Called the guy over radio. Didn't answer for a sec, then said "what do you want". Dude was just chillin in one of the trucks out front. Guy from behind the counter ended up getting my key for me. He said he'd take 20 off the final bill for customer service. Either you guys have gotten stupid expensive or that also just never happened. Horrible experience. I've used Uhaul numerous times since 2015. One year I believe it was a total of 3? Beyond shocked. We were in a bind and needed a truck, was told none of the smaller trucks wasn't available so we got stuck with the 10' truck. When I showed up, there were 2-3 pick up trucks in the lot. So idk what that's about, but I felt forced into using a bigger truck because of our timeline. Can't believe I had to spend over $120 for a dusty truck with food trash in the back, to pick up brand new furniture in, only to be late and not be able to make it to a place to donate old furniture. That one dude being absent at work caused a lot of headache for us. And your service was absolutely now where close to being worth even $100.Courtney A.
