Customer service was not provided. Gentleman that helped me said he would meet me outside to load my dolly, I waited about 10 minutes before going inside and he said he forgot cause his coworker distracted him. The truck I rented was having a hard time shifting gears. And I was charged a late fee for returning it after closing. If I would have know I was going to be charged I would have brought it back before closing time.

You called and asked me to bring an empty trailer back for a $50 promotion. I agreed. I was asked if the trailer would be hooked up and ready to go. I was told it would be. Then you called and changed my pick up location. When I arrived, trailer wasn't connected, promo wasn't applied, and truck rate went to from 99 to 159. Then they tried to sell me insurance for the trailer. While he was trying to fix it, truck rate went up to $166. They called a Bobby at internal to help but he couldn't fix it either although the notes stated that they had offered me his deal. I had the original reservation that showed a $99 rate. I was there for almost 40 minutes as the line backed up. They finally fixed it enough to get back ti my original $99 rental and I told them to just keep the truck. However, I was going to cancel this reservation because I had found a better deal. I kept it because of promo. I will do everything I can to not ever have to rent from uhaul again. It was such a hassle and all created by your own team.

I was charged a $20.00 fee for overnight drop off. It states on my receipt that if I did it online I would not be charged. If an employee had to check me in, then would I be charged. So I'm confused as to why I was unnecessarily charged? Also, a woman should be able to walk into your establishment and feel comfortable. Not talked to as if I was a bother. Is that why I was charged extra?

The only thing I can think to improve the location is actually putting prices up on the marquis for storage units where the prices for the vehicles are. They had a sheet of paper blocking because maybe the prices were wrong and not updated.

I was not able at any time during the week before picking up the trailer I had reserved by phone to the long distance number my call had been routed to when I tried to call locally for a reservation. It was the case with all local U-Haul locations. I simply could not deal by phone. locally, with any U-Haul vendor. This led to several hours of wasted time on the phone with out of town operators, wasted time trying to get it sorted out online, and an enormous amount of frustration (stress) for me at a time when I had so many details to deal with before our trip. I finally had to give up, after hours of frustration, endless useless phone conversations with agents routing me to various locations, one after another, and just drive to one of the locations that had been "confirmed" by one of the emails/long distance phone calls. Once I drove there, I found the staff of the 3555 E. Grant U-Haul to be very helpful and efficient, absolutely not busy, and asked why they never picked up the phone when I repeatedly dialed. He told me every time it rings, it immediately gets picked up by a long-distance U-Haul operator. Well..... since the other local U-Haul stores were doing the same thing, I knew it was not just their store doing that with the phones. Why must a customer have to drive across town and deal face to face in order to ask questions or make changes to their reservation, simply because their phones are automatically re-rerouting to a long-distance number, to a clueless phone agent? I actually kept getting follow-up messages and phone calls as late as last Friday, offering me ANOTHER pickup time, date and location. While the personal service at 3555 E. Grant was perfect, when we returned our trailer rental to them yesterday, they were not able to refund my credit card and allow me to pay them with cash, because of a COMPUTER snafu. Your local U-Haul staff are friendly and helpful people, but they are clearly not in charge of technical problems, which seem to be systemic, at least during the three weeks or so that I have been dealing with U-Haul. They can't fix it on their end.... Can Corporate please deal with this so that the customer can do business by phone, including asking the local vendor questions, in a normal and timely way????????

The General Manager who finalized paperwork upon pickup time and handed me the keys to my 26' truck @7:00 am was especially pleasant. However, the employee behind the counter who processed my drop off paperwork at 4:45pm was unsmiling & surly. He seemed not to be enjoying his job. Some might have called him an a**hole. If all employees treated customers this way I would not ever come back.

I would have put above average, but I do think a few things should be brought to light. Each time I have gone inside this location, the wait is very long, not the line, but the wait. I originally signed up with the 24/7 truck share and when I tried to log in it didn't work. I mentioned that to the representative at the front with no response and I realize that even if it did work, it would not have been helpful at this location because there were no people working that desk. However, once I was helped, the personnel were very friendly and the van was in excellent condition and returning was a breeze.

Staff knew vehicle they gave me was hard to start. They were rude and disrespectful about it. I literally spent more time trying to start the vehicle than actually driving it. I paid for use of this vehicle, I shouldn't have to fight to get it started. Even the employee struggled to start it. “Just jiggle it” “ we know this one is problematic “. They knew about the problem. I will go out of my way to never use this location again.

Reserved 20 foot truck three weeks in advance and GreenValley location didn't have it. Went to this location and was told I could return it back to Green Valley over the phone because I had to go 20 miles out of the way. Manager at this site was not professional or nice. Threatened to cancel my truck if I return it to Green Valley even though that was what I was told and didn't cause any of this. Brought back the truck to Grant location due to miscommunication. Uhaul needs to have a better communication between on-sites and dispatch.

Rental did not go as planned. Made it for 9:30 at one location, U-hail changed it to an actual location with a 15' truck and changed the time (without notifying me) to 7:00. When I showed up at 9:45, my reservation had been canceled with no vehicles available. Took a lot of discussions with the representative to get a vehicle (on the spot cleaned a 20' truck as it was not supposed to be available). This truck actually worked out better than the planned smaller one. Mixed feelings about this rental…..

Due to me telling the person working that the lights didn't work, the employee was asking if the damages were done after I left the old parking lot, as of I might have done the damage, didn't look at the file on the trailer, or look at the wiring. If I didn't take the picture before I left, I would have had to deal with explaining not wanting to wait for the Idaho location to fix the lights because I had a deadline, it should have already been fixed. Anyways. Check the equipment before sending it across the country, please
