The clerk was very nice and place was clean however my truck smelled like a dog and had dog hair in through seats. The property doesn't allow you to park there and street parking is limited.

We showed up and the truck we reserved weeks ago was not there. The nearest other location was also all out of trucks. The manager was not there or available when called to discuss other options. We were finally able to check out a much smaller truck but only for 4.5 hours which was not enough time with a smaller vehicle to move an entire household. The equipment we had also reserved was also not available. Beware that making a reservation does not guarantee you will get a vehicle!

I reserved a 15' van two months earlier. My pick up location was changed and when I got there 15 minutes earlier than my scheduled pick up time, my rental truck was given to someone else by a new employee. After a while of waiting, they gave me a smaller van, which did not fit all my furniture. I had to borrow an suv from a friend and drive both vehicles to New Jersey. Now I have to drive my friends van back to Maryland. Very inconvenient and a waste of time and gas money. I was told by customer service that I would be receiving $50 back on my credit card. I would like to speak to someone about all this.

Where do I begin. From the time I arrived last Saturday morning,danyle the manager was there early prepping trucks. Greeted me as always in a pleasant professional manner and asked if I needed anything else as I am a regular for the past 7 years. The whole process from what type of vehicle I reserved to the what's to be expected with the rental to mileage,gas tank and when it needs to be returned was prompt and efficient. Don't know how much more detail I can provide but I am a repeat customer and at the end of the day how a customer is treated is as important as the " AHEM POWERS THAT BE TREAT A MANGER WHO IS BUSTING HER BUTT SHORT STAFFED..HELLO? WHAT details are you providing to ensure she is appreciated and I keep referring people to this location? Works both ways. Reward her for outstanding customer service by a raise promotion or bonus. Stop screwing around she deserves it. Great job danyle .got your name right..lol

Truck ran fine but the drivers side door was pinched with some body damage. Made a crunching sound every time it opened or closed.

The truck itself was fine, but I had reserved furniture pads and a dolly with my reservation, but the facility had neither. I was expecially disappointed with not having a dolly, as we had lots of boxes that needed to be moved, and we had to move them by hand, which was much more tiring. Was not offered any compensation for not having what I had reserved, which was somewhat disappointing.

Make the return process clearer online. That confused me very much and it took me 20 mins to sort out the contactless van return. The staff at this location are FANTASTIC and I will definitely be returning!

The back up camera on the rearview was great. I'm not used to a driving a van that big and it was helpful. Everything was simple and easy. The only thing that sucked was the rain. It rain the entire time and stopped as soon as I returned the van. Oh well. Y'all can do anything about that... Unless you can??? No, that's fine.

Absolutely great customer The General Manager, Danyle Powell of Falls (820020) Road is one of the reasons I continue doing business with UHaul. Danyle was professional and courteous. She was definitely able to satisfy all my moving needs. Moving is stressful enough. But Danyle made the whole process stress free. She actually made me smile. I highly recommend doing business with the Falls Road location. Also shout out to Tracy Diven in the 820 Traffic Department. UHaul is extremely fortunate to have a woman with so such character on it's payroll. She made the impossible, possible. Thank you Danyle and Tracy. You two women are the definition of touch notch customer service.

This U-Haul location operates differently than those I've used outside of Maryland. I had reserved a 26' truck and the website said it was available for the Hampden location. Two days before my pick up, I received an email that my reservation was changed to a location 23+ mins away. The representative claimed they had tried to contact me but I was never called. Upon picking up the truck, I learned that I had to return the truck to its original location (33 miles ~ 1 hour during rush hour) despite indicating in my online reservation that I was to drop it off closer to my new residence. This of course ended up increasing the cost significantly. I was given vague/inaccurate guidance as to where the truck was parked and had to look at every single truck to identify which one was mine. In other locations, they have the truck pulled up ready for you so this was really disappointing. Instead of someone doing a walk through with you of existing damage, they have you do everything through an app which is a headache and has a singular picture of the truck on each side that does not capture existing damage. Secondly, it was not cleaned thoroughly. There was some change and other trash in the truck. Upon return, one of the workers was very rude about not parking the truck in a designated return lane. He wanted me to park it around the back, rather than doing it himself. This was the worst experience I have had with U-Haul.

My total mileage was 15-16 miles, but I was charged for 4 gallons of gas. The check-in person should compare the mileage figures, which are quite accurate, when assessing if gas should be charged. With just 15 miles driven, the gas charge should be at most for two gallons.
