Just crowded and u-haul doesn't do things right. Something is always reserved and given away and unavailable. It is consistent everywhere not just this location. System needs work. The staff was nice and did the best they could but it's a broken system.STEVEN G.

The volume on the radio was broke and the whole time i drove the music was blasting I could not turn it down. Very unpleasant drive with loud music the whole time and the steering wheel was not aligned. Secondly i put gas at the near by gas station I have receipt to prove it and the the meter was back where it was when i received the truck and whoever recorded it showed the meter was below a 1/4 of a tank when it wasn't they barely paid attention to it and charged me double what i paid for it. When i filled gas at the station next door. I will never ever use U-Haul again as long as i live. This station is ghetto times 10!!!BLAKE T.
The van I rented was clean however one of the back tires was low as indicated by the message on the dashboard. When I got in the van the gas gauge indicated â€œemptyâ€. I was advised to put gas in the van upon return. But I had never rented a van that was given to me on empty. I was given credit in my final payment. The gentleman who waited on me was polite, respectful and knowledgeable. The young lady who checked me out was polite and helpful.Audrey D.
No one bothered to tell me about the hidden fee for oil and tire upkeep, leaving me with no opportunity to dispute it, and I do not appreciate that at all. U-Haul apparently makes their money dishonestly by nickel-and-dimeing their customers without informing them beforehand of the charges they will be expected to pay, and I will recommend to any that ask me that they rent from someone more forthright, as I intend to do in the future.BRENDON S.

Online Inventory did not match with actual inventory. Required a significant wait for a truck. Matching inventory would have eased process and allowed virtual check in. Despite the wait and difficulties the staff was gracious, patient, and accommodating. Truck was clean. Lots of scraps and scratches on outside. I reserved a truck online and received confirmation but when I arrived i had to pay extra for a bigger truck that I didn't need.The location was very busy and understaffed had to wait an hour after I checked out before I could leave waiting on tow dolly Which was taken from my time and had to spend more money on gas on a bigger truck and was charged another $120 dollars bc they said I was late bringing the truck back but was inaccurate bc I returned the truck the same day and they stated that I returned it the next day bc it was returned after hours when actually it was returned 4 hours after I left the U-Haul facility..STEVEN M.

Need better customer service. I used the mobile service to rent a truck from my phone. When I got there, I spoke to the worker who was on the computer at the front desk. I explained to him how I had made my reservation online and asked how to get keys. He gave a really rude response. I didnt exchange with him at all. I just wanted to get the truck and be on my way. I ignored his rudeness, and gave him the information he needed. However, he continued to make rude remarks, out loud, to himself, as I walked out the front door with the key. The hitch connection was broken. This should have been noticed when the trailer was attached to the hitch. The trailer tongue came off the hitch while the vehicle was in motion. Fortunately no damage was done to the vehicle.JESSE M.
I was charged a after hour fee....because the store was closed when I returned the truck. I wasn't able to check the truck in with my phone. I returned the truck before the six hour period. The camera could clearly see, I returned the truck. I parked the truck over by the camera and the key drop box also have a camera...so there was no reason for your store manager Saheem charged my card for a late fee. Poor service. Because I did everything I was supposed to do. I'm trying to have the fee removed or refunded. This is a senseless charge to my account. Disappointed, I was initially redirected to this location after the Memorial Drive location around the corner from my house was not able to give me the vehicle I had booked for a long distance trip. However, the Candler Road location personnel were efficient and friendly in providing me with a well maintained truck with requested dolly and blankets that easily made the 700 MI journey!FLORENCE H.

Worst to least order. Worst: the tow dolly given to me was held together with bungee cord! The pull out ramp on right. TD3327W. Realized when I got home. Dangerous. Since the last time I rented a tow dolly from this location and they put a car hauler on my car that weighed it down too heavy that the I65 uhaul in Mobile helped me to remedy to make journey safely, this location is pitiful. Least bad: The lady who was sitting in the open seat facing the door when I walked in did not greet me and simply stared at me the entire time I walked towards her. When I got to the point where the markings said to stop, and I stopped, she kept the same blank look. I finally had to ask if she was open, and then she grunted, "yeah". Thereafter, as she kinda did what she was supposed to do and would just utter out commands: " scan your license", etc. No please, or we need you to..., just 3 words. She was also on her cell phone a lot. The other guy was very congenial, albeit he is the one who put the aforementioned tow dolly on my car. When I returned, the worker that replaced the tow dolly was extremely helpful, engaging, and in light conversation, I learned that he had been working since 5 a.m. but he was still able to render exemplary customer service. In Baton Rouge, the man who removed my tow dolly was also very engaging, friendly, and professional. The lady I called to verify that my return was logged was also extremely pleasant and professional.KIRBY C.

My 26ft truck did not have a ramp. My customer service was excellent. The young lady got me in and out in a timely manner. Not having a ramp made it extremely difficult to load up since we had to physically life everything onto the truck. It turned a 5 hr move into 10 hours. So I had to pay double for my move due to not having a ramp. I feel someone should inspect your vehicles to make sure that everything is in tact. A ramp is just as important as the wheels.David H.

Get a better manager. He is very rude and doesn't know how to properly communicate. I literally witnessed him arguing with several customers. He's not friendly or helpful. Furthermore, the mobile reservation process needs to improve. I don't understand the point of having a mobile reservation system and I still have to stand in a long line to receive my truck. Also, I received a truck that very little gas but was charged for not filling it up when I put it back how I received it. Overall, one of the worse experiences I've ever had with U-Haul.Darius J.

Our reservation was made by customer service personally while at a different location off Covington Highway and verified a cargo van was able. However, when we reached the location a few minutes later the front desk was unable to locate the keys for the cargo van and we were informed they don't have a cargo van available. We rented one of the 10' trucks instead, but instead of being charged the cargo van price which comes with 100 miles included, we were charged for all 200 miles. The proper thing to do would have been to honor the cargo van price although we were renting the truck. It was not our fault this location system was incorrect because customer service showed it was available.Richard C.

I returned my truck at 6:50pm and was charged an entire extra day just for keeping it for 3 hours. I had to drop the jeys in the box bekoz it was considerred after hours. Young lady gave me a hard time and didn't want to assist. I had been waited on by another employee and he had 5 coworkers and answering phone before he switched me to her. I gave her all info including reservation info and she refused to help me because she felt I had an "attitude". I responded to her letting her that at this time yes I do because all info e as in front of her, told her she was acting very unprofessional and that as someone who was retired from US Govt, I given my time to USA, she is just "starting their career" she wouldn't get far with her attitude. In last few weeks I had been to this same location and could name co-workers but she was not one of those people. Maybe she needs more training in customer service and how to treat customers. I also had been on previous rental done on 7/31/2021 in which I was over charged for and bill needed to be adjusted to reflect mileage and other discrepancys but because I was too address. So I came in for a 26 foot U-Haul truck but the truck offered to me was broken, without air conditioning, and had discrepancies on mileage. I was offered a 20 foot U-Haul and of course I took it as I needed to move that day, but I had already reserved my truck with a reservation guarantee. When I asked the man at the front desk if I was going to get the $50 that was owed to me because of my reservation guarantee he looked at me, laughed, and said no. Had a reservation 29802468 on 11-30-21 at your Memorial drive location in Decatur Ga. No truck was available for me and I had already paid for the reservation in advance. They wanted to send me 2hrs north to Canton Ga to pickup a 20ft truck. The customer service rep was very rude to me, very disrespectful and no consideration for my inconvenience. I guess I have to go back to Penske or Budget rentals at least they give quality customer service even if they can't meet my needs.... We booked this uhaul 3 weeks in advance. We arrived and they told us they didn't have a truck for us. I got on the phone with 1-800-uhaul and they had to convince the store manager that one of the trucks he had was in fact a 1 way truck, which was our rental. It was a 2 hour process to get them to let us have it, and we almost missed our movers coming to load the truck. On top of all that, the customer service was very poor. The employees were not helpful and rude. I would never recommend this to a friend.PAUL C.

My selected location could not take drop-off. Went to a second location that looked up a location 18 miles away. Raced in traffic to get there 15 minutes before the close time. Open sign still flashing. Employees would not come to the door. Called customer service and told to leave the trailer, but to go on line and do return. The web would not show my location. The whole process was out of order. The initial appointment was cancelled, i was sent over 25 miles to a new location that for the same order. However, i was told that they did not have a one way truck for me and i would have to return the truck and would have to pay for miles. I like being able to handle the pick up and return of rented trucks online. I like the 24 hour access. However, twice, while I have been returning a truck during nighttime hours, I have been scared or accosted by several different vagrant men wandering between the trucks. I don't know what could be done about it, but thought I'd mention it. Otherwise, everything was fine, and I would recommend and use again.Elaine M.

It was stupid and uncalled for. Stop someone that owes $171.00 or $1,710 not no damn $1.71. I shoukd humiliate your business by using my platforms!
