A full tank of gas would be nice to get the customer to point A without stop for fuel time one get in the vehicle, and making sure that in the summertime the A/C works properly and the heat doing the cold season. I have never had a more Horrendous experience at any U-Haul in all my years of using your service. All of your representatives need customer service training. I was placed on hold for hours, ignored and treated like crap. I was over charged $435.00 and no one seemed to care. Who does that? Please look at your store cameras and listen to the phone conversations they both will tell the whole story. I could write a horror book about my experience. I hope and pray to God that I will never have to rent anything from your Candler Rd store again. A very disappointed customerRUDINE A.
Staff needs better customer service skills, attitudes were horrible as if they didn't want to be at work, never smiled once, they need more training how to do their job efficiently because my contract/reservation was cancelled they had to reverse the charge which it took few days for the refund to reflect on my account. Just to get the same contract again, and they need a better manager she wore pink braids with pink nails and acted very ghetto, unprofessional attitude, and no type of customer service skills. I waited to re-make the payment the manager kept leaving out the office to go outside and help other customers. When I asked why the contract was cancelled the associate no longer wanted to service me saying I was being difficult when I was trying to understand what happened. I originally asked was she pulling up my reservation number I gave her because she kept asking questions as if she was making a new reservation so she went to another station and serviced everyone but me, and the manager allowed her to refuse to service me. I asked will she assist in checking me out she said no you can wait for the manager when she comes back and she was playing on her phone. No one was in the store and I still had to wait for the manager. It took an hour and half to fix a simple mistake the associate made and didn't even apologize. The manager never told me take a pic of gas hand (upon returning the associate mentioned it) because my contract said half tank and their system showed gas tank at 75% full. All kinds of frustration, irritation, & aggravation at this site. Upon returning the uhaul two associates were talking about an incident where police had to be called and was on the site at the time as I'm standing in front of both of them talking amongst each other until they decided to end the conversation then assist meâ€¦.just overall rudeness and no customer service whatsoever. I wouldn't recommend this location AT ALL.Shantail C.
when i first arrived to drop off the car dolly only 1 employee inside (guy with dreads) assisted me and was very helpful. when i returned the truck the other staff just looked at me standing outside while on their cell phones paying me no attention...Kevin W.

When I checked in Tina was extremely rude and disrespectful. Not just to me but other customers trying to upload their IDs. I had never rented a vehicle from uhaul and they were annoyed every time I asked a simple question because the process was not explained to me. The vehicle didn't look like it had been cleaned in a long time. French fries and straws on the floor. When I returned the vehicle I waited in the office for 15minutes and had to go get an employee out of the break room to find someone to help me. I jaded the keys over and the employee just took the keys with out any explanation of the process. I had to knock on the window and ask if I was all set. He said a receipt would be emailed to me but I still have not received it.Violet J.
Rented truck. Brought my own handtruck. Did not use or break the seal on U-Haul handtruck. Was charged for breaking seal & using U-Haul handtruck. I called to dispute & they said I had broken the seal and charged me for the hand truck. If this is how they make an extra 7 dollars off of the customer, then they can go to hell and back. The young lady did not explain anything to me. She asked how long did I need the van, I said 2 or 3 hours. She then stated that if I returned the vehicle past the 15 min grace period, I would be charged for a extra day! I asked her if I was renting by day or by hour? She stated, by day! I asked, then why would I have to pay for an extra day? I asked that my reservation be changed to return vehicle the next day (24hrs later), she said it was too late! She later explained that she was trained not to inform the customer of the 24hr rule. If this is true, I will never rent a Uhaul from this location again.david W.

On Tuesday I reserved a truck for 9am Sunday and received a text confirmation of it. I got there Sunday at 9, no truck for me, They had a truck waiting for people who were scheduled for 10 & wouldn't give it to me standing right there in front of them regardless of my confirmation. I was on hold for nearly 15 minutes to confirm the location to go get a truck, because the rep in the store told me the wrong city. They made me drive 45 minutes one-way out of my way, wasted 2 hours of my ONLY day off to move and added and INCREDIBLE AMOUNT OF STRESS on me. I should have gotten what I reserved and was confirmed for me 5 days earlier. Then, I was given the wrong number for customer service & was on hold far too long going through 4 different people who weren't interested in my complaints. Moving is stressful enough, and most people are doing it within a time frame, especially if they are paying for help. I didn't get what I reserved where I reserved it, which is 2 blocks away. I was told I HAD to return it to the location I got it , so, AGAIN, I had to drive another 45 minutes there and back. I will never again use U haul & vehemently discourage anyone I know to give them any business. An absolutely HORRIBLE experience!!Patricia H.

The agent on duty was rude and curt, not only to me but other customers as well. She pointed me in the wrong direction to pick up the vehicle and when we started the vehicle and through out the entire ride, the tuck was so loud we could not hold a conversation. I rented a truck and a cargo van and the breaks was horrible and took a long time to come to a stop. The wheels became shaky when reaching speed of 50. The gas gauge was incorrect on the paper work on one occasion and I was charged for gas when I returned the equipment at the same gas gauge. In addition the stated I didn't return equipment when I did but somehow it was checked in. After I responded to U-Haul Recovery Specialist.Wanda W.
The truck really needs maintenance. The tire pressure light was on, the seat belt adjuster was broken and the truck smelled bad. Wasn't a deal breaker for me I needed the truckAlexander J.

I asked to extend my time just for a few hours was told no and I need to bring it back now! And I was charged twice when I didn't bring it back but I literally had an emergency as to where I couldn't bring it back. Will never do business here again. Especially when s few years ago my rental was cancelled because someone stole the catalytic converters off the truck but I didn't trip! Lesson learned!Kretonia M.

I've rented from this location several times in the past. The new (current) owner is far superior to the past ownership and management. Store is a lot neater, cleaner, and better run. Employees are much friendlier than those of the former regime.Forrest W.
Make my week long Uhual rental a better experience by honoring the booked reservation. Provide A/C in your trucks. and don't promise me a storage unit at a certain location only to arrive and find out it's no longer available!JONATHAN T.
First and foremost,: 1. The staff at the candler rd, Decatur GA. location all need to be replaced. They were rude, unhelpful, and racist.. 2. The online order process needs to be revamped. If there is a problem with a reservation someone should contact the customer and inform them of the problem before they arrive at the store to pick up equipment.. Both of these issues led to a very unwelcome day for me during my recent move. Not only did i waste in excess of 3 hours trying to get a truck and dealing with uhauls customer support line. ii also missed several business appointments the day of because i was dealing with uhaul. I have never had a problem with uhaul in the past and i have rented equipment many times. After this experience I will never bring my business back to uhaul, and i will tell anyone who ever mentions needing rental equipment what a horrible company uhaul has turned out to be and strongly encourage them to use a different service.DAVID H.

I rented a truck to take clean water to Jackson, Mississippi. I arrived at opening to the Candler Road, they opened on time, and I was the 1st of 6 people trying to check in. The process went well, and I went to my next destination in College Park (30 mins away) to load the water. When I arrived, the rear door wouldn't open. I called back to the Candler Road location and she advised me to call Road assistance. Due to it being a Sunday morning, it would take a hour and a half for then to get to me to fix the issue. We waited and waited and then I called back to customer service to find out if the time had been extended. She couldn't answer that and I told her I would be returning the truck back to where I recieved it. I got back to UHAUL and roadside assistance was calling. Two hours have now passed. I returned the truck, and there was no discussion about how I would be refunded. I had to ask for a manager (who was out back on her phone) & proceeded to tell me that I would be charged for the 2hrs the truck was gone. Shes talking to me with smoke coming from her mouth because shes smoking a vape pen/ electronic cigarette. When I got the truck it was on E so I had put $60 of gad in the truck and was told I needed to reach out to corporate to get that money back. Absolutely insane how this was handled. The customer service reps on the phone were outstanding and tried their best to help. The instore reps need to be retrained. 3 days later and I still have not recieved a refund nor a phone call.Dana G.

Tow trailer was so rusty it was almost impossible to ratchet the straps, and we spent an hour trying out 3 different trailers before finding one with working brake lights. Equipment needs better maintenance for better customer experience.Lindsay D.
I was supposed to receive a phone call per the return check out in reference to my billing. No one called yet I was still charged for a concern I hadâ€¦.. customer service can be better inside the store and out. Everyone could use a bit more knowledge on the insurance customers are purchasing and what it covers. Although the return is 24/7-which is great, this location still provides a mobile check in where you still have to provide proof of identity and payment at an actual desk, even though everything is submitted online with a live photo as well. You can't just walk up to the side counter or agent at the desk, state you have done your mobile check in, show confirmation, & receive the keys to vehicle. Make sure you take your own photos of all sides of vehicles when renting just to cover yourself. Overall the location has its minor kinks but seems to be neat inside and has a variety of rentals available. The agent inside was helpful when there was a concern about the vehicle before pulling off the lot.HARRY H.
