USUALLY, this is my chosen drop off location because of safety, access, cleanliness, & the excellent staff. However, this time, my agent, who was training a new employee would have to do something extreme to be worse. She was unfriendly, rude, mean. I was returning my trailer 7 hours early. I’d swept it out the night before & blown it out with a gas blower to ensure all of the corners & edges were clean. She tried to say it wasn’t clean. She behaved like a hard cold, woman. She was wrong. She didn’t say hello. She didn’t say thank you for doing business with us. No thank you for returning your trailer early. She didn’t say goodbye. Just awful.

Went online to find a hitch for my 88 y/o father's Honda CRV. U-Haul had the best price and also a video to show how to install the product on the car. I figured if the installation technician had seen the same video and had all of the tools necessary, then the $50 installation fee was a bargain. Friendly staff on the phone and in person. Job was performed quickly and professionally.

Charged me for an extra day after my reservation was cancelled because the goofballs at north Jackson gave me a storage unit that was already taken, I then had to drive 20mins to Pearl where they had one, so that I could deliver my things and finally return the truck. Despite having reservation for a storage unit and plans to allow me to return my truck on time, 3 different employees tell me I wouldn’t me charged - I was charged.

I regret to inform potential customers that my recent experience at [U-Haul East Pearl, MS] was subpar. Upon renting a car hauler, we discovered a critical safety issue: one of the tires had a hole with exposed wire, posing a significant hazard. Unfortunately, the unit was not properly inspected prior to our use. Consequently, we had to purchase a tire out of pocket to continue our journey safely. Additionally, we found the store management lacking in effectiveness, as the staff seemed inadequately trained on how to inspect equipment. Such oversights compromise not only customer satisfaction but also safety standards. We hope this review serves as a constructive feedback for improvement.

The return process was cumbersome. The truck was shameful. The driver door has to be slammed in order to close, there were so many error lights on the truck, shining brightly. Mechanically, the truck seemed fine, steering and braking had no issues.

Having to examine the vehicle myself before leaving the facility and take pictures of the areas that were not listed as damaged so i would not be liable was time consuming and should not be my responsibility. It took 30 minutes because of the uhaul interface and its problems with usability.

I had an issue with my order. I was picking up a trailer to take back to Jonesboro for U-Haul. Everything was screwed up, but Pearl location did fix it. I have an issue with Wes Jackson U-Haul place . where is Jackson U-Haul screwed up my order I was there to. I got a bigger truck. They said I had an upgrade but on my paper does say the 15 foot truck in for a 12 x 6 x 12 trailer I was taking equipment up for U-Haul West Jackson try to charge me for the trailer and it was all on U-Haul. Who is this distribution equipment that I was under I told the lady my name she tried to tell me I didn’t talk to nobody at all so she tried to charge me a whole another set of stuff I will not be used in West Jackson ever again.

The lady that was at the counter when I arrived to drop the trailer off was horrible. Very rude from the moment I walked to the counter. Her exact words to me as a customer was "What do you want" That is unacceptable!! She continued with her rudeness the entire time until I assumed myself that I was to follow the gentlemen outside. That gentleman was very nice but the lady inside the building ruined the experience for that store. I will never rent or drop off at that location again....UNACCEPTABLE

I have never been so disrespected by a manager more so than I was yesterday (2/10/24) by Andrea Mixon. She was very rude, confrontational and would not listen when I asked her to stop being so loud and ugly. She would not answer my questions concerning the insurance rates and kept stating "that they are what I told your earlier" She's such a poor example of customer service, professionalism, and taking pride in her work. She was actually training someone and I hope they do not take her leadership and advice as the way to go. I truly hope that U-Hual has better examples of managers and leaders.

I thought it was hilarious but also kind of pointless that we could not have the secondary phone number be the person who was standing right next to me... why did they have to be off site to receive a call and confirm they could be reached? That was confusing. Funny though. Other than that, no worries at all!

The app wouldn't allow me to pick up or drop off the Uhaul. I had to use my mobile browser both times. Every time I would hit "pick up truck" or "drop off truck" it would just reload the dashboard and nothing would happen. Other than that my experience was good. But that app needs to be fixed.

Indifferent attitude from staff during initial and subsequent encounters. When given the key to vehicle I was given no indication where the truck was or what number to look for when searching for it. There were 11 of the same van on the lot. I was provided incorrect length rack for wardrobe box. Upon return with explanation, I was told I needed to come back the following day to speak to “Owner” to get a refund. After returning the following day and explaining the situation to her she reluctantly refunded the cost after complaining that she couldn’t use the box now because I already taped it together. I explained I had no way of knowing the metal rack was the wrong size until I assembled the box. I apologized for not double checking behind her employee to be sure I was given the correct size rack. One evening I attempted entry “after hours” using card provided. Doors were locked. Called Service Center and I was told I “didn’t pay for after-hours access”. I found out later entry can be accessed 24/7 via the roll up doors for vehicle access. Parking lot looks like it’s been bombed. Asphalt missing and large holes throughout. The construction going on in the building for the expansion of the individual storage units has created large amount of dust and debris covering the items I had in the storage unit. There should have been notice made to renters alerting the fact this would be taking place over the course of several months giving tenants the opportunity to cover belongings.

I think the storage facility is very clean, and there was more than enough space in my unit. The only think I’m not to happy about, is that the lock on my unit is a little hard to open and close, and the first two day that I was there, I would put my code in, but for some reason, the alarm would still go off. I reserved a 5x5 unit online when I arrived there was a lock on the unit I was told "something is wrong with this one or there is stuff in there that's why there is a lock on it" never attempted to unlock the lock. I was given a 2nd unit which also had a lock on it then I was given a 3rd unit which also had a lock on it! Each time the price went up and I had no choice but to pay because I had nowhere else to take my belongings by this time it was time for everyone to go home and I arrived at 6 with plenty of time to unload my belongings before 7 along with the help I was able to find because people aren't just falling over themselves to help anyone these days! Well the man come back after the 3rd unit had a lock and he took the lock off mind you the SAME lock was on all 3 units. He opened the empty unit so I asked about the 1st unit which he then took the lock off and it was also empty! Why he couldn't take the lock off to begin with seeing as how he had the key. We had backed up to the door to unload before any of this happened and while we were dealing with the unit issues they decided to close all the big doors so we were forced to prop the regular size door open to get my belonging inside. I am not normally a complainer I understand stuff happens BUT had he opened the original unit to begin with I could have avoided so much stress! My help was irate and it was not easy to get him to help to begin with. I hate I had such a terrible experience but this could have been avoided so easliy!

Unit was secure. The lighting for inside the units was almost non existent. But overall, was a good experience. If I had one negative thing to comment (and was a factor in my moving to another storage place), it was that I rented a unit the same day I rented the truck (to have somewhere to move in). It was advertised I could get a month free with a truck or box trailer rental if I also got a storage unit. I was told I could do just that. But when I inquired after I moved my belongings, I was told I did not qualify for a free month because I already had the storage unit. But mind you, it wasn’t a previous storage unit, it was a storage unit I rented specifically for this move. A week later, I rented a large box trailer. Again, it was advertised that I could receive a month free of storage. But again I was told I didn’t qualify. That was frustrating. It needs to be spelled out that you get a free month when you rent a storage unit AFTER your move (as I was told). But if that’s the case, it’s nonsensical because I can’t imagine moving and not be assured you have somewhere to put your belongings when you arrive. Not a good way to treat a good customer. You can check my account and see that I’ve rented quite often and spent quite a bit of money on rentals, towing packages, etc over the past 2 years.

The inside RV parking was dimly lighted and the overhead door access would stay open or not open at all at times. There was construction ongoing inside during my rental period. A U-HAUL trailer was parked in my spot once. Not the experience I anticipated.

Overall my experience was good but there are a lot of issues with the staff. The manager (if it’s the same one when I moved my stuff in was good but the other employees weren’t as professional or seemed to care about customer service. A few weeks ago I went by there on a Sunday and the doors to the storage facility wasn’t opened. I went to the office and the employee there didn’t realize the doors weren’t opened and said the manager hadn’t come to unlock the doors. !?!? This was very inconvenient for me but that’s what it is like often at this location.

Ms Adrian Mixon customer service is like off the charts. She has made my experience with UHaul fantastic. I am a 15 year customer with UHaul and was really contemplating ever using UHaul as my go to service company anymore, because of bad service in the last year, until I talked to Ms Andrea. She is the upmost best customer service oriented person I have ever in the past15 years using UHaul experienced . I have recommended her facility in Pear to every person in need of renting a truck or trailer for their moving needs. We were unable to access our reserved storage unit due to a broken hasp. We were told per Andrea Mixon area manager that they did not know when the hasp could be repaired leaving us to scramble to find an available unit at another facility. This inconvenience caused a delay in our entire moving process which the staff Chynna Burk showed little concern and was overall extremely rude. We plan to share our experience on social media as we will never use UHaul again.

The day I reserved the unit, we were told about the moving truck/getting the month rent free. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable- provided us with information requested, showed us a sample unit, etc... We didn’t have a certain timeline to move in, just needed to secure a unit, so I set the date for June 29 and we brought a few little boxes on that date. I asked about the truck again and was told it would not apply since I had already moved in... Our unit is in the very back corner. While it is one of the larger units, it has a smaller door. Lighting is poor. I wouldn’t Not recommend this facility to a friend, but it wouldn’t be my first choice after my experience in 6/29.

First unit was already taken. Spent several hours on hold. After that was resolved I didn't get the 24hr access which was requested. This resulted in an extra days charge on my truck rental.
