Lisa DoveGood Morning, Here's the problem, As per normal, I made my reservation online. I received my confirmation number and email confirming my reservation. The day of my reservation, I called the location and confirmed that I my reservation was still there and I was told yes. I showed up and only to be told that the truck I ordered was not there and that I would have to go to the main U-Haul center that maybe they would have one. I said I would take a bigger truck if one was available for my same rate and she informed me she would not do this even if she knew how. I drove across town to the main location after calling and they said they could help me. The gentleman who checked me out was very nice. The problem I ran into there was after completing my paperwork and getting ready to take the keys and walk around, only for the employee to discover there were no keys to the truck he assigned so he needed to redo the paperwork for a new truck. upon getting keys and going to to the walk around, the truck itself was in bad shape. Not damaged, but covered in mud. The inside smelled of cigarette smoke with ash residue still in it. He informed me it was a recovery truck. The truck itself drove without any issues. Also, when I made my reservation, I thought it said .79 per mile not 1.09 per mile. I probably rent around 8 trucks a year so I am well aware how things should work. I don't think I've ever had this much issues with renting one of your vehicles. Kevin Taylor 816-262-1063

Shannon NolteMy reservation was moved to a closer location near me, however that was done by you. This location couldn’t allow me to rent the truck the morning of, because their computer was down. I lost an hour and a half of time because of this and had to drive to the main location to rent the truck. Thank goodness the person who assist me was helpful and discounted my rental. It was frustrating that I had to go the gas station after leaving the lot to make sure there was enough gas to arrive at my destination. The gas tank should be on FULL!

(11/23/23) @ 12 pm The male employee gave us hell, the female employee whom I have worked with plenty of times before when dealing with U-haul and she was great as always! And honestly if I have to use uhaul again and he is present I will walk right out and continue on to a different location.

C KIGERI set up mobile pickup but a vehicle was not assigned to the order. An Iphone that uhaul employees use was found in the vehicle. I returned the phone when I returned the vehicle. The phone returned had a message on the screen saying if found there would be a reward for returning it. When i asked about this, the employee laughed and offered my a broken padlock. I have used this location multiple times this year, and each time has been a disappointment. Unorganized and unfriendly staff.

This is not the first time I've done business with them and certainly will not be the last when I'm in St. Joseph, MO. I also witnessed them teaching new employees. They are kind and respectful. I hope they are somehow recognized for their customer service.

Neither hm or the district manager know how to call customer obviously because I called numerous times over months and was told they would call me and they never did. Finally had to call corporate office to get anything done but yet these people keep their jobs! Time for higher management to step in and watch what is really going on in this store and start making changes because it is not good when they treat customers how they do! I moved my things out as quickly as I could because I was tired of the treatment I was receiving

I was abit disappointed in the fact that i didn't get credit back for not opening the blankets. I also picked up the truck on half tank and returned it with 3/4 tank. It would have been nice for that and unopened blankets to take care of the $4.00 for going over mileage.
