The equipment was fine, but the mobile check out and return procedure was a huge pain. It was difficult to figure out and didn’t work properly the whole time. Also, I was emailed two different receipts, which were both for old rentals (2019), not today’s rental.

We move often as we are travel nurses, so renting U-Hauls is a fairly regular thing for us. The attendant at this location was the friendliest and most helpful I’ve met at any U-Haul. I don’t know his name though. I was just impressed by how nice and helpful he was.

For someone with no experience of driving a bigger truck, this person may need some instructions on where the controls locations, like headlights, wipers, etc. I figured those out eventually , and it would have been helpful for someone to show.

Having to move from the original unit I had paid for to one that was smaller and not as conveniently located as the original was a disappointment. The door wasn't lining up correctly for me to be able to put my lock on it. I had no time to speak up that day but here it is now. Lol. Now I wonder how is the pricing going to work out because i probably won't be a customer for much longer should I have to pay such an outrageous price for such an outrageously shameful unit transfer.

They change me my drop off address after I already made my reservation with a different address, I was supposed to return the truck on the Jazz Gas LLC location in Lodi, instead in this location of the Eastern Ave they change the drop off address I already select and had to drop off the truck and then go and pick it up in the wrong address. Bad service on Jazz Gas LLC the guy running the U Haul did not tell me the address was changed, all wrong

I booked to rent a van to pick up furniture we purchased. We showed up to pick it up at the wrong U-Haul on Eastern Ave in Malden, MA! Jenny said she could help us and cancel the other reservation. Jenny made the whole process so easy! The van was brand new and spotlessly clean. We only needed it for about two hours. The return process was also easy and Jenny sent the receipt to our email.

Hello, I hope you are doing well. The location is honestly terrible. I called 15 minutes before they closed because I needed help locating the entrance since the maps takes you behind the building. After reaching the door which was also a few minutes before they close, the employee told me she is closing now and can't help me with the rental. She kept me waiting longer than 10 minutes outside in the cold and rain and around more than 10 minutes after closing time she leaves and tells me I have to wait till they confirm my identity online. She was very inconsiderate and she could've easily helped me since it was not officially closed especially when she knew how cold and rainy it was outside and there was nowhere for me to stand under to avoid the rain. When I got the vehicle, it was extremely dirty and wet from the inside. The furthers away from the least hygienic thing I have ever encountered. I am really sorry for saying all of this but the experience was actually this bad for me to take the time and honestly share it. Thank you! Sincerely yours, Saud Aldakheel.

When I arrived to pick up the rented truck at 6 am, I was surprised that U Haul had canceled my reservation for that day without any explanation or prior notice. Also, the U Haul App is terrible.

I ordered 2 hand carts with the truck. There were no hand carts available. So i got none. I was offered a dollie but this was not going to work for the situation that i had. I was very upset about this. I had to go to lowes and purchase a hand cart. I would like some kind of a rebate.

I would say out of my experience with uhall in 6 month I had very bad experience but the only good experience was Gregory who is the manger now n Malden he is very helpfull and real human been which hard to find those days I luv this guy and respect him alot he works from deep his heart he doesn't just leave his house to count hours and get paid like others he is there to help people and serve the community I wish him best of luck hard worker and kind human that's the at least I can write towards him ...................on the other side there is lady called windy and I'll say she good at doing her work but she is no common sense and heartless but I am not complaining about her even tho she is not fair she is ok

Staff did not smile or seem friendly. Quickly went over access directions and told me to go to the machines to figure it out. Was not helpful. Freight Elevator does not work as directed in the usage steps stated on the elevator doors. Pool of water on the wooden floor hallway from the climate control machine. Door to stairs not labeled so was difficult to find.

They simply didn’t have a locker for my reservation and then tried to give me a very small one that didn’t even fit a bag. I don’t know why I called to reserve a spot if it’s available just on the spot. Totally stupid. I ended up driving somewhere else, lost the movers I had hired to help me and even had to pay extra in my Uhaul truck because after all of this I exceed my 4h limit for the truck. Just horrible service making lives difficult in important moments such as moves.

I needed to clear out my unit but could not be there in person, so I hired a junk removal service and notified U-Haul of their arrival. The manager, Nicole, was very friendly and helpful, and the communication/coordination aspect was great. On the policy front, I would recommend a better solution for allowing access to the unit when the customer cannot be there to open it (for instance, a form where they can grant permission to U-Haul to break their lock). Under the current policy I had to hire a locksmith to allow access into my unit.

The UHAUL office manager Nicole Taylor, is VERY courteous and efficient at what she does, and will go out of her way to resolve any issue that you have. Nicole, was not the office manager on my move-in date of 9-28-2019. But since she has been the office manager, my transactions have ALWAYS been positive! My unit was emptied without my knowledge. I was only offered pennies for my belongings that I lost. I was blamed for my stuff going missing. I was the victim of a flood and already lost a lot of my stuff. U-Haul made me lose all the rest of my stuff. I was only able to save a few items

She wanted to make sure we could afford units so we didn’t fall behind/delinquent and risk losing our property. Convenient place for storage but I had some issues: 1) my storage unit was on the top floor and had no roof over the unit itself so parts of the building's roof fell all over my things, 2) there isn't enough customer parking so I often had to park in the wrong spots and staff would yell at me to move my car but never suggested where. Otherwise, staff was friendly when I signed and canceled my lease and the units with roofs seemed fine.

Your In store employees are awesome. You computerized phone system with cellphones and central lines are not your fotre! It's a people driven business, literally. On hold over52 minutes... no cell reception sales areas to puck up equipment. Great for cities but not rural spots. Maine president called me back immediately and solved those issues. But having issues trying to get in touch for another reason now. Ugh!! I shouldn't have to bug the man again for this!

The Uhaul staff at Malden were excellent, problem-solving, and helpful. However, the Uhaul system they are working with is broken. When I showed up after a long day of moving out of my apartment (with a Uhaul truck, with moving help hired through Uhaul) having reserved a storage area online many weeks earlier, the unit was not available. While the staff ultimately found a solution (giving me 3 smaller units and a discount), this led to stress, hours of extra time, and hours of expense on my part paying the moving help contractor. If a unit is not available, the system should not offer it. This is 2021. Thanks again to the staff, and I hope management gives them a better service to work with.

When we arrived you announced that the elevator didn't work and that we couldn't move in. Then we had to find another storage and you had promised to transfer our file/payment. Which you didn't do! So we had to rent our truck for another day then had to pay again at the new location. Now we have to fight with you to get our money back! Never had such a poor experience. Lucky I don't have the time to contact a lawyer for your fraud.

I had the storage unit for 2+ years and I cant speak enough of the staff. Everytime I went they were so friendly. And I hate ti say it but that doesnt happen alwasy at uhaul locations. My only feedback is that I had a top unit. Top unit's dont have an actually ceiling but more like a cage. Sadly when I cleared my unit all my belongings were covered in dust. That was disappointing

The only 2 things that probably can be improved are the elevator & the parking lot. The elevator was out of service 2 out of 5 times I went there, and unfortunately it was when I needed to move heavy items. There is no parking lot for customers cars. You either need to park in the bank across the street or on the sideline and if you have to carry boxes then keep in mind you will have to do several trips back and forth. Apart from these 2 things, everything else is excellent. Nicole is very helpful. There are units for every need. Everything is clean and well maintained. Will definitely recommend it

Amilcar Ruiz, General Manager, of 124-126 Eastern Ave., Malden, and his staff have been amazing. Amilcar set up our nonprofit with a storage unit for our clothing drive fundraiser and when that one was filled, he gave us another, in exchange for a truck rental. He even coordinated with Luis Cardona, Jr., General Manager, of 420 Eastern Ave., Malden, so that we could have storage units until we deliver the clothing to Savers on August 29. Devine is a member of Amilcar's staff and has also been exceptional. He carried bags from the loading dock to the basement when the elevator was out of order. It was a heavy job on a hot day. It is clear that the staff are well-treated. When staff are respected by their manager, they work efficiently and have a great attitude. Amilcar is to be commended for his excellent management and hands-on assistance of customers. Thank you! Fern

Only real reason I’m in happy, is this place is infested with mice, rats, there was mice poop all over my stuff. Disgusting ! Be sure I’ll be on Yelp, and I’ll be making some calls

I would not use this facility! They are unprofessional. They broke my locks to my storage and did not inform me that my keys to the new lock were at the front desk. I had to pay a locksmith $125.

The facility is clean, yet the facility is understaffed and the staff is a bit disorganized. My locker was locked when I arrived and the keys were with another tenant. not good.

There was left over odds and ends in the big garage space at the entryway every time I came. The elevator was old and its doors were hard to open and close.

The Lynn facility was severely under staffed for one of the busiest days of the year. The line took too long and did not meet my expectations. The staff at Malden was much better to deal with.

Unit was fine, customer service was terrible. Tried calling the manager no less than 6 times over a month or so to resolve a charge/late fee issue and was told he would call me back and he never did.

Great staff. The staff accommodated all my needs. The room was an awkward size room and the door opened inward. The paint was peeling off the walls and the light fixture was broken.
