Which inconveniently cost me more than planned. They took my money twice! Which they didn’t refund me back yet! (I’m waiting!) plus when they finally after 5 hours of reserving me a truck they GAVE ME AN 30 minute expiration when I reserved 4 HOURS! Terrible!!

Kimberly RRegardless of the unsavory conversation with another consumer staff should not forget who actually paid for the rental and take their frustrations out on a customer who was not satisfied, misinformed and had to deal with staff who knew nothing about what they are allowing customers to rent. Improving customer satisfaction and service training should be first and learning how to have patience with customers would create a more positive experience when renting from this location.

The first time I went overdue, I received no warning, no email, no phone call, no letter, no information that my payment wasn't received. It wasn't until my emergency contact got a paper letter, less than one week away from the threatened lockdown date. This is insane. The second time, same thing. No call, no notice whatsoever that my NEW payment card didn't go through. My unit was locked within 5 days of being late. I won't be working with uhaul again on this.

I went to that location to store my things and drop off the truck. They told me that they would be charging me double my travel fee that I charge for a one-way trip to work to where I am. I am now at this very moment going back to the first location because they told me I could not bring that truck there or they would charge me. I only am I headed to the first place. I am now been given a text message that says to take it back where I just came from so the service was Horrible.

I did not know I needed a major credit card to reserve vans and pickup trucks. And when asked how much the 10’ truck was she said $19.95 plus over-mileage and failed to tell me that the deposit was $100 dollars. My purpose for getting a van to move stuff was so I didn’t run out gas on my car but the equivalent of the gas was about the same as the truck/van. and she spoke at the sound of a whisper she talked SO quietly.

They couldn’t find my storage info or items until FEBRUARY and told me that month month along with the first 2 months would be free since they couldn’t find it December or January! I moved in DECEMBER 3rd!!!! Come to find out they charged me for February even added a late fee. I called and spoke with someone and he advised my card had to be set up on auto pay to remove late fee. Go figure. All in all horrible experience, and uhaul still got paid for February with my card on autopay. What a joke!!!

I'm already here so that is terrible advertising... I should get one month for telling y'all to fix this misleading posting. Maybe that can be online.. but you get my point of hope. In addition, as I was legally parked in the disabled parking area... the clerk asked me to move my vehicle so he can back up a truck. Many uhaul vehicles were parked obstructing the disabled parking and when I told the clerk that was illegal and not proper... he told me that theb u haul vehicles that are parked in the disabled parking was OK. Hmmmmm Hoping some one will become familiar with state and local laws on disabled parking laws.

November I paid for November, December they did not apply my payments correctly. The corporate office tried to call them on December 10 they failed to answer on a few attempts. This is unprofessional and these fees are excessive. I want my account reviewed and these horrible fees removed. Why did they change my due date? I couldn’t recommend them to anyone.

Tera W | First ImpressionsThis is one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I had a schedule pick up for 2 o’clock for a moving truck. I also wanted to establish a lease for a storage unit. What should have been a simple transaction was delayed by unprofessional and at times, in competent staff. When I first arrived, there were two patrons in front of me. When it was my turn, the 3 associates were talking and joking among themselves loudly. I had to redirect the gentleman who was cashing me out several times. They continued to be okay around and continue to use vulgar language. When the associate finally completed my order, I was shown to my unit. The associate instructed me to use the key card to access my unit. When I swiped my card, the associates name appeared on the screen. I informed the associate and he said he would fix it. We go back to the front desk and associate says he is working on it. He hands me the key card and we try again; access still denied and the associates name was still showing. At this point it is after 3 o’clock. My son was growing anxious so I left to get him something to eat. When I came back associates states issue was resolved. When I attempted to access key pad, a name “Sherise” appeared. I informed the associate that was not my name. At this point I was really upset and needed to leave to start moving. This whole experience delayed my move and was an extreme inconvenience! Lastly I never received a contract for my storage unit. I also was never informed of the hours and made a blank trip because I was denied access to my unit. Overall, one of the worst experiences ever!!!
SELECE D | First ImpressionsJust a couple of concerns it’s really difficult to lock your storage unit at a certain time at night That is knowing how to set the alarm correctly, unfortunately when we came back to unload our storage unit after 10 PM at night and we were locked out . The whole process is very confusing. And also another concern this doesn’t have anything to do with the storage but the lady that I spoke with on customer service just told us we needed one storage unit and that would’ve not been enough room for us but thankfully the staff had an extra one on hand that we could rent. I probably won’t do business with U-Haul overall because our moving experience was very stressful and the customer service was not too good there was a couple of representatives that were very unkind that I spoke to on the phone I’m definitely going to do business with another moving company. I will say the local staff at the storage unit they were very kind and helpful.

Lakeesha P | First ImpressionsThe reason I answered question #1 no is because this facility has a significant security issue that can be corrected quickly, easily, and at no cost to you. The overhead doors of the indoor loading bay are activated by motion detectors, when a vehicle approaches the overhead door it opens automatically which causes two problems. First, it allows customers into the facility without checking in by swiping their card. When they go to their lockers and open the alarms sound. This happens frequently. Secondly, and far more importantly, the automatic overhead door openers allows non-customers to enter the facility which poses a profound security issue. By simply turning off, or removing, the automatic door opener sensors it will require customers to check in with their swipe card to gain access to the facility and prevent non-customers' access. This is a HUGE opportunity to improve safety and security at your facility for the benefit of both your customers and for U-Haul.

Leslie C | Overall ExperienceThe original reservation we made was deleted. No-one told us you needed to pick up the keys in 48 hours or it would be deleted when we made the reservation on-line. Then the very nice young man who helped us was working his first day at that store and could not find the reservation. Then we were forced to redo the entire reservation, and we were given a location at the back of the facility which is too far for us due to my being disabled, I asked for a unit at the front where we were able to find units which were empty and had no locks. The young man had no idea how to find and switch to those units. We came back and a different person told us the front section where we identified the open units was not officially opened yet, and he had no way to put us on a wait list for those units. He could not tell me when this section would open and I needed to call back every day until it did. Wow, This is inefficient and not customer focused. I called today to see if the section is open. The answering service says they will leave a message with the facility staff.

But I was very dissatisfied that I paid the fee at the end of May thinking I may still need the unit a few weeks in to June (which I didn't need it since I secured an apartment) so I felt I should receive a credit because I did not have to use the unit for June. I moved my things out of the unit on May 31. No problem with the unit (it was great, thank you) but the practice of not refunding is not good. I'm a senior and did not have money to just give it away like that. I spoke to the manager who said there would be no refunds. Maybe you could help.

Another person was there, waiting because the employees misplaced his keys! He was there linger than we were waiting for them to find them. Instead of getting 1 10x20x10 they told us after we checked in that we would be receiving two 10x10 units. We were expecting 1 10x20x10 like my reservation states. We needed the longer space because we are moving and needed a temporary place to keep large furniture and boxes that would have fit better in a single unit than two completely different, side-by-side units. Overall we were disappointed in our experience but the employees were kind.

The last time I had a storage was 5 years ago and I’m sure things could have changed. If she had paid more attention to her customer than her phone she probably would’ve told me about the insurance that I could’ve purchased. Also soon as you walk into the door it all the rain was in puddles on the floor which is a big safety hazard.
LaKrizzia H | First ImpressionsI rented a UHaul from this place, then rented storage for 6 month, then, due to loss of my job and concerns over this epidemic, I rented another UHaul and cleaned out my shed... one (1!) day after they hit my account for the monthly charge. I asked for a pro-rated refund OR the option to apply some of the $100 to the UHaul rental. I never asked for the full amount back. I didn't expect that. However, I spent over $1000 in rentals and the incredulous manner in which my requests were met with left a horrible taste in my mouth. Especially given current events. There are PLENTY of other UHaul or competitor locations out there. I'll be using and recommending other options for my next move and storage needs.
