The vehicle check through is the longest time consumer of all the check-in process. The online check is is great and well organized. This is my third experience in renting a truck for home improvement projects and all my rentals have been very good! Thnx

I've used them a few times over the years and this we the first time this happened, but it still sucked...

I was lucky that I was able to return the equipment before closing but it would have been a problem if I couldn't. EDUARDO RExcellent customer service. Friendly employees eager to make it a pleasant experience. There were several U-Haul dealers in the area that had a lot of negative customer support comments with mostly 1 or 2 star ratings. This location (920 W. Commonwealth, Fullerton) had mostly 4 and 5 star reviews with excellent customer service comments, so I chose them. I was not disappointed. Keep it up. Customer service does make a difference.

Matti LNone I can think of because my truck rental when very smooth from start to finish. I do not have the U-haul app, but using the text features makes the checking and out very easy, fast, and efficient.
Jorge GI know it can be busy at times but if an employee could walk you to the truck so that you are not wasting so much time looking for it. As a first time U-Haul customer I found this to be a slight inconvenience.
Kevin LI was not greeted very well, and was made to feel like I was unwanted. I waited several minutes to be helped despite being the only customer, I had to wait for the u-haul employee to finish changing a sign out for box pricing. I am happy to wait however the way that I was treated was terse and I felt like I was imposing. The check out was quiet and it took a while. I added a note to my order that requested a transit van instead of the Econo, because that is the type of vehicle we were given earlier in the week when we moved the gear out to the venue, and I wanted the same type for this rental to help us with the move back. However this was not addressed in the transaction by the person helping me, she just handed me a key to an Econo van. I asked her if I could have a transit because that was what we used earlier in the week, she got frustrated and clicked some buttons, but then said this is all we have for you. So I took the key and walked out to the yard to find the van.... This is not normal usually Im ether directed or they pull the vehicle up, this time I had to go find the van. To my surprise the van I was given was parked next to a transit van... so you can see my frustration. I left with the van, when I arrived to the venue to pick up gear I noticed that the low air in tire sign came on while I was driving and I had to deal with that, as well as the tire jack was not stowed away correctly and the plate that holds that in place was missing parts and the jack was just sitting in the back. This experience has been the worst Ive had, since using u-haul as one of our truck rental vendors. If it wasn't for proximity I would be looking for another vendor over this experience. I am going to chalk this up to someone having a bad day and hope that this is not the new normal for these rentals, but as a business owner I am keeping a closer eye on how I am being treated, and whether my business seems to be important enough. I don't always expect a certain type of vehicle. I find the transits are easier to get the type of road cases I have that moves my lighting equipment, strapped in tighter and the road cases fit better because of the shape of the van, but if they are not available we make do, however I do try and line up same vehicles for the trip back that we used on the way out so that the load is the same. This change in van and the seeming unwillingness in helping me get this, from the u-haul employee on that day made my gear move more difficult....
Steven GWent in to rent a vehicle without a reservation was told by a male employee no vans of any size were available only pickup trucks. I literally walked outside went on the app reserved the van I wanted walked back in and rented the van I wanted. The assistant manager a young woman who had helped me before was great. The male who told me nothing was available 5 minutes earlier finished helping me check out . No apology only mentioned in Spanish that I was just there to the assistant. Lying talking in Spanish thinking I didn't understand no apology unacceptable!!!
John HThe truck I was given had a faulty starter switch and while I was loading it, the battery drained. I had to call AAA to come and jump start the truck so I could take it back for a replacement. The replacement had like 139,000 miles on it and had to be cranked several times before the engine would turn over. I was worried the whole day and stressed out as a result..
