Thomas RossUnfortunately my reservation for a 26’ truck and 6’x12’ trailer for South Lake Tahoe was changed by uhaul to Carson city. I was told SLT did not have supply due to unknown weather conditions. I understand why, however picking up in Carson city was an inconvenience and caused me additional out of pocket costs. I had to hire a driver to drive my car back to South Lake Tahoe. All in all it all worked out! Uhaul is the Best and their employees are willing to go the extra mile to make things work! Charlie & Jean in were amazing to deal with. Christy the scheduler was fabulous too. Overall this team took all the stress away and make sure I was taken care of quickly and go me on my way. For those reasons I highly recommend uhaul Carson City for your rental needs.

Melody Hall-RamirezStop playing 'fraudulent' games with the gas allotment portion of your services. To place a decal over the gas guage, obscuring and hiding the guage from the driver and then stating that you are receiving 5/8 of a tank of gas and you are expected to return the unit with exactly 5/8 of a tank. This is blatantly dishonest. How do we know that you mislead your customers? We drove exactly 63 miles in the truck. Prior to returning the truck we refilled with 4 gallons of gas to bring it to 5/8 at $14.00. You should calculate the milage and advise your customers of what milage to expect. We will be filing a complaint with the Nevada Consumer Fraud Division as we feel this gas guage deception is deliberate.

I love how friendly they are and how they interact with you like a kind neighbor would. We've rented at least 4 trucks and at least 6 trailers and we always experience the same, consistent, attentive, friendly help - even on one of those blistering hot daze back this summer during pre-moving, and again today when it's absolutely freezing cold outside. I always try to bring them Starbucks or some kind of thank you to show our appreciation. For those times I don't have something on hand: thank you a million times to all of the crew here - you'll never know how much it meant (and continues to mean) to work with you guys during one of the most stressful times we've had in decades (moving is z.e.r.o. fun). Jim RobinsonI was promised a free months rent after I rented a 6'×12' U-Haul trailer in Poway, California. I arrived at the Carson City, Nevada. I arrived on the 3rd day at around 6:00 pm and the staff checked me right in, gave me a free lock and key for the unit after I was checked in, no charges, no questions asked, and I was given a: 24/7 access card, and I stayed 26 days and left the unit and headed on to; Caldwell, Idaho! The unit was clean, well lit, secure, and I never had any difficulty coming or going getting in or out of my unit even at 3:00 am in the morning moving out on the 22, of December! The staff was professional, very helpful, and most accommodating every time I needed anything, and gave me good instructions for dropping off my trailer after hours, and dumping off trash in their large dumpster, which I was given permission to use! All and all, I had an A-1 experience and stay with both the trailer use and rental, and with the free month's rent and usage of the U-Haul facility in Carson City, Nevada! And so far no additional charges, fees, or complications have been occurred! Also, this facility was beautiful, very large, full service, and stocked with a large variety of trucks, trailers, and tools to make your moving experience easy and hassle free, and thus far, they have kept their agreements of no further charges, or attempts to collect hidden charges! And the evening I arrived, they checked me in, no tricks, no charges, as promised! Well done U-Haul!***** AND: THANK YOU U-HAUL OF CARSON CITY, NEVADA...

So the fact that I could reserve my unit and my truck online at the same time for different days was amazing. When I called. I was flatly told “no”. This was especially disheartening after a huge mixup at the Bakersfield Uhaul that left us with no blankets or packaging supplies after I had ordered them ahead of time. Due to time constraints and having to move without, so much of my furniture got damaged and we had to make two- two day trips. The promise of free rent for two months was some sort of positive and then it was rejected so quickly and coldly.

When I got to the facility I was told that just because the system let me make a reservation did not mean they had one available. I was actually 5th in line for a unit that size. This left me scrambling to find a suitably sized storage unit on the day of the move. Make sure you go to the facility and see if they actually have what you reserved.

Also when we went into our unit I had 17 containers that were plastic and labeled someone went through all of my containers they pushed our refrigerator to the side which was brand new and the scratch was put on the side of the refrigerator. Because we purchased a new condo after selling our home and had to sell our remainder appliances. When we ended up selling our items out of our unit there was extreme amount of mouse droppings in our unit. And also when we rented the unit it was not cleaned out. During the process our unit went up in cost due to maintenance seeing and also extermination. Which when we were at the unit up and down the aisle there was a bunch of screws nails and bolts that we literally had to pick up and push aside so we wouldn’t get one in our tire of our vehicle. The gates are left open on the far side when some construction work was going on which was totally inappropriate because we felt like our unit wasn’t safe. What is the purpose of having a key card to get in when anyone can get it. I would not suggest this Uhaul as customer service there was advised of the situation with our unit and we were disregarded not only by the employees but also by management

jeffery hunt | Overall ExperienceI found it off-putting, that I was given an access card for accessIng the roll-down storage units within a fenced-in area; but could only access the storage units during business hours! The map and paperwork stated the site was accessible from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, which was not true and was incorrect! I consequently made a wasted, 80-mile round trip to the storage unit...wasting 3 hours of my valuable time, to load a trailer (a UHaul trailer no less), drive there, and not get access. To make matters worse, the signage at the property had the phone number listed of a previous manager (who was quite polite!), and she gave me the number to the new General Manager, who was not happy to be getting a call after hours. Seemed dismissive of my frustrations. This was a verbal communication blunder upon getting the unit, and a printed error problem on both the maps, and the signage at the electronic gate (on the fence). The only good result of this, was that the assistant manager was able to provide a remedy to my displeasure.
