When I picked up the truck it had 18 miles to E. The front desk checked me in and said I don't need to get gas but if I put it to 1/4 tank they would credit me $28 - she said about 3.gallons will do. I put over 5 gallons at $18 and it got close to 1/4 but not on it. The location charged me $30 plus $16 for 4 gallons after I dropped it off. I would not trust this location or staff. I should've paid $46 after the credit but instead paid $109. This was a 3 hour 13 mile rental of a 15 footer.

Guillermo VelascoThe location is okay - if you're coming south from Hutto, you have to use the frontage road and make a u-turn. If you're coming north from Austin, the traffic light getting to this location is a real pain and backs up pretty bad. This location is very easy to get in and out of - staff are very nice and helpful. Trucks are all clean and the process was easy.
Vincent GutierrezThis time the trailer had an issue but the staff at uhaul didn’t acknowledge. It would have been nice if they trusted the customer and swapped the trailer when I returned to site. For the whole day I rode with a trailer that had an issue with the left side lamp. Just because lamp worked for 10 seconds when I left does not mean that uhaul trainer is immortal. It kept playing all day: sometimes it will blink and sometimes it won’t. Fault, I was not carrying a uhaul employee with me in the car all the time to show them the evidence.

Knowledge about attaching safety chains was not only lacking, but when I offered to share a video of how the chains were attached, I was told, "that's the way we do it, the person who attached them to my truck has been here 3 years and never had a report of a chain falling off." As a safety issue, I will be following up with the Dealer and as necessary, corporate. Not acceptable.

Finally an employee came in and when I asked how I can return my rental he abruptly told me “I’m with the police, just give me the keys” and then he walked away. Strange experience 🤷🏻♂️
Thomas KimpelA horrible experience. Unfortunately forced to be there over 3 years during a new home build. Unit burglarized shortly after move in. Staff did not offer insurance at sign up and we thought we had coverage. Thousands of dollars of valuable collectible guitars and long guns. I was told afterwards by a staff person it was an inside job and if you are seen putting in instrument and gun cases you were a target. The manager was sleeping in her house a few feet from our unit during the burglary - she told me she heard the alarm but just went back to sleep !!!!! The detective told me they stole a truck to use and knew all the codes. Extremely upsetting as our grandmothers valuable guitar was just one loss and irreplaceable. The staff could care less at the time / no phone call - nothing. Then to add insult to injury when we came almost 4years later to move out we saw that a long standing roof leak and damaged much of our goods in the back of the unit. Since our whole 3209 sq ft house contents was in the unit we could not see this damage until we began to move out. Again no concern or call from the staff - but they did call a roof repair immediately. (Why was roof not inspected over the years?). Barbara told me we should have inspected the unit - this was never mentioned when we signed up. A bad experience and definitely would never use again or recommend to friends or family.

Also, after I waited while she uncancelled my reservation, she gave me a truck that was blocked in by another one - further creating a delay while she switched the truck.

I had called and requested help in getting in touch with road side assistance. The gentleman that assisted me at the store location politely reminded me where the number was on my paperwork. I will definitely use this location again for moving assistance in the future.

Perhaps provide instructions and the wrench to be able to fix the mirror to the individual driver’s height to be able to see without blind spots!

Her vibe was just ugly, she did'nt even greet us, and when it came time to do the paperwork i needed to use my own device to upload my drivers license i couldnt because My phone memory waa too los, and when i asked if there was another way to do that or if she could help me, she said "absolutley not, and that she could lose her job if she'd help". I was pariente and just deleted some pictures in my phone to be able to do the transaction. I was in a hurry because it was a couple of minutes to closing and she also said that the system shuts down on its own at exactly 7pm, so on top of that i felt extremley pressured, to be able to have the trailer for when i reserved it. Ugh I still feel the hot flash i felt when she refused to help. What a bitch! And Steven was all right in hooking up the trailer. Today when i returned it, the boy there instead of taking the trailer off where you return the rental, he made me reverse it to it's place. They just seem lazy, and like they don't care Ro help in any way. Fuck this place!

I mentioned it to the front desk when I discovered it, but it was not corrected by the time I moved out. Staff was always very helpful and I had ni issues with the safety of my items. (I had my unit for many years.)

Even the general manager is rude when bringing concerns to his attention,and tell you that you're lying and that he doesn't believe you and believe the staff. The staff members tell you something then act like they never told you.The whole staff needs to be fired and replaced. Don't recommend wouldn't send anyone here. Most of the time they have the sliding doors locked and you're having to pull your stuff out of a single door.The hallways are dirty and not cleaned along with the moving carts being filthy. Staff access your storage and then throw the things away.This was the worse experience ever. DONT GO HERE

After reserving a climate controlled unit online, my uhaul boxes were scheduled for arrival and I arrived in person for moving- I was informed no units were available and I would have to call back everyday to secure a unit. First available unit was not climate controlled, and after not even 6 months of storage all of my belongings are completely destroyed by rat urine, feces, hair and chewed through. Will be in contact with customer service.

The day I moved out was another example of poor customer service. The restroom door was not opening. I stopped an employee to let him know and his demeanor was very dismissive as he stated I’ll look at it in a few minutes. An hour later after loading our truck, no one had come to look at the door. When I went into the office to let them know the unit was empty and to close out my storage unit, I mentioned the bathroom door again and was told , again very dismissively, there’s bother we can do, except make a work order.

David Crawford | First ImpressionsI rented a 5x15 unit but the door to the unit was probably 2 feet wide. You couldn’t even fit a couch through that door. If you rent a 5 foot unit you expect it to be 5 feet wide to get into it. The entrance was ridiculously narrow. Also it was very unclear how we retrieved the key to lock the unit. I got there the day I said I would but there was a zip tie on the door. I never received Instructions on how to open it or how to get the key. When leaving we had no idea how to get out since the gate it also closed from the outside. I had to get out of the car and go open the gate from the outside then drive through. We canceled our rental the next day and got a refund. I went to another facility that was a much smoother process.

I asked if I could return it there and she said no because they weren’t accepting trailers. She shrugged her shoulders and said it’s hit and miss. Note: I had rented a unit the prior weekend and received the one month discount even though I didn’t return the trailer there.
M Momsen | Online Move InThey did not make sure the unit was ready to be rented. The wire protection cover was on the floor the light bulb was broken off in the fixture exposing the inside of the bulb. When I asked to have it replaced before moving my belongings into the unit I was told that there was no one to do it. They did not offer to give me a different unit that didn’t have this issue. I had scheduled moving help by the hour with U-Haul and had move into the unit that day at that time. I received an email asking me to rate the storage facility that evening and then I received a text message to rate the facility. I thought I would call the manager who’s name was on the e-mail and text message to see what he do about the situation before I wrote the review/rating. I called the next day and spoke to the manager. Instead of apologizing for the situation or trying to correct it. He just said the maintenance crew was only there Monday to Friday till 11am and for me to come at that time to have it fixed. When I told him that half of the unit would have to be unloaded now for it to be fixed he then told me that U-Haul was removing all the lights inside the units and that they no longer felt lighting was necessary. So I could come at the time he told me to have it fixed. But I guess it was my problem about moving my belongings in order for maintenance to so. He claimed no responsibility to the fact that he rented me the unit with this issue and that now it was my problem not his. This is an inside unit not an outside unit that when you open the door you have the daylight to be able to see while in the unit. Very disappointed with the lack of customer service by the unit having this issue and not rental ready and no customer service at the time of move in or after the move in to take care of it. But l was notified 3 times to write a review and rate the facility. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE ALL THE WAY AROUND.

I input the reservation number for the trailer that my husband made for the trailer and it said it was invalid. He did rent the trailer. When he asked your employee about it in the store when renting the trailer, she replied with "I've literally never heard of that, we don't have any discounts, your rent is 89.95 a month, do you want it?" Not only was this not what your website told me when I rented it but it was extremely rude. Then when he returned the trailer the employee checking it is came around on a skateboard and said they didn't have a trailer scheduled to come back to which he replied, oh well I don't make enough f*ing money to care, it will be my managers problem. Overall the website was great minus the little hiccup, the staff was rude and extremely unprofessional.

While the employee was very friendly and helpful once we were able to engage with her, there was a long line when we first got in, which continue to grow while we were there. She did not address the people in line let us know that she would be with us monetarily. It does seem as though she could’ve use some additional assistance, or just being more responsive to a line forming. She informed us that our unit should have put a lock in it, but there was no lock. When we went back to let her know this, she was still with another group and there was still a long line, so we gave up. An increase of situational awareness could’ve helped the situation.

Their simple 1-2-3 process didn’t work at all for the indoor facilities. After it took me 20 minutes to find my garages, I set off the alarms because I didn’t know I had to check it at a specific box, and since I did it all online, I don’t have the handy swipe card that others use to check in and out EVERY TIME I go to load stuff in and out of there.

I understand that Anthony Tompkins works there by himself most of the time. And perhaps that needs to be addressed so customers (past, present, future) can speak with him directly about critical or timely concerns. Or perhaps the main UHaul customer service line could have access to current availability at any of their locations across the USA. Other wise Anthony Tompkins has mastered all the information & operational knowledge of the Steeds Crossing UHaul facility, and possesses and practices great customer service skills.

I had two thefts from my recreational vehicle totaling $400.00 dollars and when reported to uhual employees didn't care or make an attempt to assist. Over all poor customer service and not getting the security for the price you pay. will not recommended to anyone.

The 1080p cameras are all aimed toward the U-Haul vehicles and equipment. Customer vehicle safety appears to be secondary! Oh yes, Even though the very desirable covered RV sites will be rented quickly, no rebate for time unused even when rented to another customer the next day. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth!

Lucas made sure my unit was still locked after hours, contacted the manager of my location to correct the problem and call me the next day, and gave me a free month due to my constant issues. I would have left UHaul this month if it weren’t for his caring and understanding.

The truck I rented for moving was ok, but the driver door didn't shut and the alert stayed on that the drivers side door was open while driving. While being issued my storage area I was assigned to the wrong size, an alarm went off while trying to open the door. I then had to back everything back up into the Uhaul drive to another building, and then unloading it again.
