I was extremely disappointed in the phone and online quote but the biggest disappointment was getting to the Indianapolis location and the final price being Even more expensive..
Virgie BThe truck we had started making a weird noise a hour after picking it up. We had to drop it back off and didn’t even get to use it
Paris HKey to back lock was missing. When I spoke to an employee by the name Chris T. he said, “Who puts on a lock and doesn’t check for the key. First off that’s his job and I’ve never rented a U-Haul where I had to worry bout that. On top of that I was rushing to use the restroom and had to hurry and lock it. He then tells me to download an app for roadside assistance which is more of a headache that u can’t just call. I asked was there a fee and he said no and when I downloaded the app it stated it would be $315. I called back just for the employee to laugh and hang up multiple times. He called back an hour later stating I was lucky he found a spare key and told me to hurry and come get it cause they’re technically closed. He refused to give me his name so I had to wait to the following day and get his info from another employee. Will be contacting management and corporate if I have to. Do not waste your time at the shadeland location. I received better customer service at other locations and they make sure you have everything vs handing you a key and telling you to go find the truck. This location is very unprofessional.
KEILA AThe gentleman at the drop off location was fantastic. My issues are with the call center, website and app. I’ve had several mixed messages. I tried to drop off at a different location, but they said there was a drop charge. I tried to change the location several times but the app does not work. The app is horrible. When I picked up the van, he removed the drop off location indicating I could drop it off anywhere. That of course was not true. I asked five people and everyone else said that I could drop off anywhere. That was found to not be true. I drove past five locations that were closer to my home. They also charged me $19 for gas because they disagreed with what the pick up Gas amount was originally.
Shawn WThe operator who helped me was very very nice even though they had my area code number wrong at the place in Florida that I rented the trailer from. She was nice and she tried everything to find it thank you to the operator.
Larry BMake sure the equipment (is trucks) have had all the repairs before listing them as rentable.

Eric UThe centralized scheduling system was the only thing thta didn’t work. I made this appointment 4 times, and fou d out upon arriving that nobody was able to install a hitch at yhat time or even on that day after I arrived. The staff seemed to be unaware that I was scheduled for service. The scheduler did not seem to be able to tell whatbthe capabilty of each location was on anybgiven day, and no concern was made for how far away from my preferred location the actual appointment was made.

Fred GThe individual who worked with us was friendly, helpful, and efficient. When we needed to have the wiring on our vehicle repaired so that we could properly pull the uhaul trailer, he made sure to sell us the correct adapter, get it wired in correctly and get us on our way in a timely fashion. There was a place for us to wait that was warm and comfortable. And he made sure to let us know there was wifi if we needed it. I highly recommend this location for a uhaul rental!
David HIt wasn't a bad experience but the back of the truck was dirty. Also, the truck had a LOT of play in the steering wheel!

DANA BI have nothing negative to say about UHaul, because I never officially moved into my unit. However, they were very nice and called me to check to see if I still needed the until even though I I was making payments and not moved in yet. The staff there are wonderful and I would recommend renting a storage unit from UHaul anytime.

Valerie AMy only downfall would be that the staff does not communicate with each other. There were several times when changes needed to be made to my account and the person I spoke with didn’t relay that information to the people that needed to have it. Overall a good experience it’s just sad that it took them almost 3 months to realize that i had already closed my account and moved out of my unit.

Lucinda PThey changed the lock out tag out when late payments rules so many different times. First it was , when you become 3 weeks late they will lock you out then put a lien fee. Then it turned into once you are more than 2 days late you get your lock covered.

Ryan VBig issue is I scheduled my visit at a different location. 1.5 hours before the appointment scheduled 2 weeks in advance, I received a call from that facility saying they don’t install hitched. Why was it scheduled there if they don’t install hitches. I had to reschedule. The location that did install did a good job.

Gregory BAs I was emptying my unit, I saw dead roaches on the cart and in my unit as well as mouse droppings. As a result, I disposed of the mattress and box frame because it's cheaper to purchase new ones than to fumigate my home. I took photos if you would like to see them. Interesting enough during my last trip the unit was cleaned.

They were courteous and efficient…..I just think the economics forces them to use subpar equipment. It got the job done but I was worried about it rattling our antique furniture to death.

Being that I had nothing but my car could not even afford to get a truck to put the stuff in nor that I had him to do what I was doing. I just said OK I will try when I knew I couldn’t. I was only to get what I can that would fit in my car and did. She had called someone and they told her I had to get it all out that night. Well I was unable not to get it all and had to leave it. I can’t remember what I was doing at the time my phone ☎️ ring. On the other end of the phone the lady asked to speak to me Billie and I said can I help you. She told me her name was Kathy and she said Billie when are you gonna come and get the rest of your things out of storage. I explained to her what was told to me and she asked me who was it I told her I can only describe what the lady look like, but she did apologize because she has no control. She told me to come and get the rest of my things out. Ms. Kathy ask me if I wanted my couch and picture and chairs I told her yes. I said all that to say this that was nobody but God to lay upon her heart and her managers heart. To tell me to come and get the rest of my things and I think and praise God for that because they didn’t have to do it but the did. I appreciate it thank you all, for your help.
