The truck that we rented was very nasty, dog or cat hair was in the seats and floor of truck. I had to wipe down the seats, doors and door handles. Very nasty!!! With COVID going on every truck should be sanitized before it leaves the lot.Evelyn S.

The UHAL agent was very friendly and went through the check in process with me. It was quick and uncomplicated. Also, I was pleased with the truck. It was very clean. It had good instructions pasted everywhere. We really like the USB and AC power plugs so we could run our electronic devices while we traveled. It had a lot of space in the cab for our personal luggage and cooler. I would use UHAUL again if I needed to move a lot of stuff.Charles W.

I was not pleased for two reasons. First I felt threatened to pay the $25 "insurance" or else. The sales associate repeated 3 times how I need to pay the $25 or else any damages will be charged to my card. I do not agree with paying for duplicate car insurance. If there was a major accident, then that is what my insurance is for. If there was a minor incident, your company provided no information on how damages will be assessed and what the cost of repair will be. Will you be sending an adjustor to the rental facility? Or will the guy behind the counter arbitrarily decide how much the damage costs? I do not have time to negotiate the details of a rental contract on the day I am picking up your vehicle to use it. The second complaint I have is that I paid for a 2 day rental. 11:30a Friday until 11:30a Sunday. But I got a call at noon on Saturday asking why I was late returning the van. Because for some reason you scheduled another customer to use my van at noon on Saturday. I felt rushed to return the van at 2pm (early) on Saturday. And was afraid of being charged a late fee (which did not happen)Daniel R.

The service representative was very friendly but overwhelmed. The UHaul webpage was down and causing major delays. He was helping anther UHaul customer for 20 minutes while trying to help customers paying for gas, drinks, and cigarettes. I tried to call UHaul myself and was on hold for rover 15 minutes. There are many people unemployed due to the pandemic. When I hear that a business has a long wait time, I have to question why they would not hire more help. Maybe they care more about profits than customer service.Andrea N.

Pickup and drop off times were accommodated. At drop off it was pointed out that I needed to sweep out the van to avoid a $35 cleaning fee, and a broom was loaned for said cleaning. Genial and hospitable service. Easy in, easy out, couldn't have gone better.James A.

I got to the u-haul place where I booked my 10-ft truck. They didn't have the 10-foot truck, so they sent me to another location. I was charged twice for one u-haul truck. At first, I was told it was cancelled, and one wouldn't even hit my account. I saw the two pending charges, and I called and was told it both would not actually process or something like that. Both processed through, and now I have to wait 5-7 business days to get my money back - money that I should never have been charged. I also wasn't told a specific time to bring the truck back, so I was charged for an extra day at the u-haul place where I turned in the truck. Overall, it was a bad experience, and I'm still waiting on my $340.20 refund. Maybe I will be refunded for the extra day too. Or maybe I won't get any refund at all.Rachel L.

The employee couldn't find my reservation and needed to contact the field manager and then they added insurance and a cleaning fee on the truck when I declined insurance and brought the truck back clean.Ehdaa M.

Make sure the automobiles are cleaned and sanitized. Dog hair and strong odor. Horrible and had to hold your breath. The vehicle needed to be cleaned and deodorized. It ran well, but last person that used the cargo van did a number to it with animals.Vivian D.

I left the store and drove home. As I stood outside of the van talking to my son the sIde door of the van opened and a man got out. This individual had been sleeping in the back of the van. The rental agent never came out and checked the van for damage etc. when i rented it and had no idea a homeless man was in the van.Steve M.

I'm not sure if it was a mistake, but this location incorrectly charged me a â€˜wrong destination' fee of $50. I tried contacting them, as this was incorrect, and didn't get an answer. Ultimately, uhaul customer service gave me a refund and were very helpful and professional.Sean W.
I was suppose to pick up my truck in Watertown,N.Y. After keeping in touch with them four different times about getting truck there on a certain day,they said they would have it there .We had to go to Carthage to get truck. That was very frustrating,and we were going to Maryland with it. On my text message from u haul they had two different pick up locations on it the day before I was going to get truck.Cathy M.
