The truck literally smelled like someone took a shit in it. We had to drive for 4 hours in a shit-smelling car. It was disgusting. I would never use this company again or recommend it to anyone else. Would love to see my charge reduced.CLARE S.

I would not recommend this location because the staff is very temperamental, I pick up a pick up truck to move some garbage, upon returning I clean the truck but because shoes prints was on the ground and the seat looks like there is dust which might been reflection of the sun because i could not see it, he said no f-ing truck for you again .i was shock and said what ? he said i would not rent to you again because i have to clean.AMALOW R.
I would say that the floor of the box was not clean as I found things there Ithat were not from me when cleaning. Secondly, the distance charge seems a lot higher than in the rental agreement and there is no info of contact details for dispute. I might not rent Uhaul in Toronto again as your Arizona licenced vans have the speedometer in miles/h with almost unreadable km/h.BORJEANDERS H.

They always charge me $12 extra after I return the Van. this is the 2nd or third time this happened. I am not sure why there is an extra charge always. I always fill up the gas extra and I usually rent it for 2-3 hours. Please check and let me know if these is actual charges so someone is just charging to rip off.SHAIKH K.

Waited at the desk for 25 minutes while the mechanic who was also the uhaul rep was busy servicing a vehicle. Protective blankets that I ordered were disgusting. Had recent stains and odours that I wouldn't put near my furniture.ADAMKYLE C.

The pickup itself was at the front desk of a mechanic's garage, so it wasn't the most gorgeous setting, but it was clean enough, and the guys were all helpful. Super easy transaction, and the fact that there's a gas station 2 blocks away made it easy to refill.TREVORJ F.
When I rented the van on the u haul web page I was told I could pick it up at a location close to my home. After already reserving the van someone called me to say they didn't have a van for me at that location for that day and I would have to go to another location much further away from my home (30 minutes by bus and then streetcar plus some walking). When I got to the location I was rudely informed that I couldn't make a mobile reservation using an international driving license and that I would have to â€œstart over againâ€ and go through the whole process of reserving and renting a van in person at the location. Fortunately I arrived early to the site and there were still some vans available. Finally the person in charge gave me the key and showed me where the van was parked and then rudely walked off without explaining anything to me. All in all the personnel were rude and impatient with me and seemed in a hurry to get on to the next customer.Jeff B.

One of the worst experiences I've had. The owner of the shop gave the truck under my reservation to another person without checking ID. And instead of trying to be apologetic and help get us another truck he said he can't do anything go call customer service. I've never seen such level of customer service where a rental truck is issued to someone without checking their ID. UHaul should take strict action and suspend this persons license for renting UHaul. I will be escalating this to the higher personnel within UHaul executives.AMANI A.

The employee was who helped me was delightful and helpful; however, I will never use U-haul again and advise friends and family not to as well. We booked our truck on May 28th (for use on July 30). On July 28 we received a call that our pickup location in Toronto had changed. Furthermore, we were now obligated to return the trunk to the same location in Toronto even though we had requested a Markham location in our booking 2 months prior. Customer service was sympathetic but did not offer an acceptable solution.STEVENLOUIS C.

Change from 26 ft to 20ft rental truck 4:30 pm on Friday night for a Saturday AM move. House is torn apart 4 hired people sitting waiting as pickup was an hour away and not open until 9 am was originally 7 am scheduled pickup at another much closer location. Not this locations fault obviously. Started moving 3 hours late and 2 trips were required to Hamilton compared to 1 trip with a 26 foot truck. 1.5 hours away. Finished move at 10 pm and returned truck to location 30 minutes from house when closer Uhaul (2 minutes away) would not accept our truck. Bottom line a 5 hour move became 12 or more and I spent $158 in fuel when when it should have been 1/3 of that. I know things happen but I understand my 26ft truck was making a noise and Uhaul couldn't get someone to look at it in the 18 hours before I picked it up? Sad to say after many uhaul rentals in my past. but will take an act of desperation to ever use them again. thankyou RichRICHARDD H.

While I would recommend this site I am not as pleased with the actual truck rental. Of the approximately 12 or so times that the truck needed to be started on our trip the truck would only start about a third of the time. The other times the engine would not turn at all. We wasted hours calling U-Haul for support. At times other individuals were able to eventually get the truck to start but could not explain why. It was finally decided that when the truck is in "PARK" the gear needs to "giggled" until the motor recognizes that the truck is in "PARK" and ready to start. This took as many as 5-6 attempts before the engine would turn over. No one at the call "Roadside Assistance" call centre, which had me on hold for hours over the three days of our trip, was ever able to suggest this. In future I would hope that they will assist drivers of this truck of the need to "giggle" the gear... and then part that it works so as to avoid the many wasted hours on our 1800 KM drive..Stevan T.
