Too long of a wait to check out. Reserved an appliance dolly and wasn’t on truck for 7 am reservation and they were closed

The back right tire was almost flat and I had to put air in it and the gas was at 5/8 of a tank. I returned it largely full. The rental location was great they looked over the tire and showed me there were not any leaks. The equipment was the issue. The tires should have been checked before dispatch and the truck gassed up. Aside from the initial issue (which should be easy to correct) my experience was good and I would rent a UHaul from the location and generally again.

The Steele’s Hardware U- Haul location came to my rescue under very trying times. I had originally scheduled and confirmed reservation for a 15’ truck the same morning at a Carquest location in Mount Pocono, PA. Upon arriving there I found the location CLOSED due to Labor Day. This fact was never mentioned during the original online reservation that I made for that day. I called U-Haul Customer Service and was placed on hold for35 minutes while my reservation was switched to Steele’s Hardware, where they quickly accommodated my needs. I lost a full hour of my move schedule and had to pay two workers that I had hired $75 each for the lost hour that they remained idle. Basically, the problem caused by my not being told in advance that the location where I originally had a confirmed reservation was closed cost me time and $150. Though Steele’s Hardware was an excellent “PLAN B”, I’m extremely annoyed with U- Haul at the moment. Lenny Galasso 51 N 4th Street Gouldsboro, PA 18424 (410) 310-5776

It took over a half hour to get everything going once I got to the location. If you would have asked for the references before I got there it would have saved a lot of time. As well as asking for the photos before I showed up. At least the Drivers License photo ahead of time, then have the person take a picture with the UHaul truck/van in the background to show it is them. It was a bit frustrating as I had to go into my phone to find the number, then try to memorize it, which I did not the first time and that delayed things further. At least bring it up ahead of time. I see now that there was an email sent saying some things may be needed, but nothing was "Definitely NEEDED BEFORE YOU GET THE VEHICLE". It would have taken less time to just go inside and pick up the vehicle from the guy behind the counter. Then when I returned the truck it was MORE pictures, and it was dark. I hope the flash worked well. Although I do understand the need for the pictures upon returning the vehicle. It was just tedious.

The only problem I had was with the mobile return. However service was excellent. Will definitely use uhaul in the future.

Glich with computer when i was there. Staff was apologetic and helpful. Van smelled like garbage was transported, but windows open it was all good.

Reservation system was a mess and created multiple inaccuracies. Both locations and 800# customer service reps were incomplete and incompetent in handling my issues generated by poor communication and poor system functionality. Very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

I had to drop off the vehicle with 1/2 a tank. I returned it with a 3/4 tank but was charged 4 dollars for being over the predetermined mileage. Can it get any more petty ?

The staff barely knew their own rules and the person that rented to my husband told us both that first 100 miles were free. Upon return we are told oh that is for a different size truck absolutely ridiculous. Will not recommend or utilize this location ever.

I was told to return my rental with 1/4 tank of gas and was charged a gas fee upon return. Micheal Usavage from customer service was amazing in helping me fix the miscommunication. He is the reason I will be using uhaul again for future needs.
