1) When reserving the uhaul van at this location, the website allowed me to reserve it using the 24/7 feature so that I could pick it up earlier than the location opened. With less than 24 hours to go and no notice that my pick-up time changed, the reminder email for the reservation showed a later pick-up time than I had reserved, and when I called the location, they said they did not offer 24/7 pickup. The website shouldn't offer it as an option if that is the case, but happily I was able to be flexible with the time change. 2) I returned the van after the store location had closed for the day using the scannable QR code on the door and the key drop off box. The van was not checked back into the uhaul system by the store associates until 2 days later though, and uhaul contacted me saying that I had not returned the van, which gave me a bit of a panic. 3) There van was new and beautiful and functional (a joy to drive!), but there was trash and dirt behind the seats and on the floor. 4) The location still gets 4 stars from me because the people working there were super responsive and friendly, and there was no wait.Maria K.

If a customer is sent from one store to the next, then the next & a 3rd store they don't want to just keep getting crazy prices because of your unavailable vehicle. Just a lot of back & forth with customer service at the 800 # and I get employees are doing their job but corporate should do more especially after so many inconveniencesJordyn C.

Absolutely horrible experience. I could not check out the movng truck via mobile at 8:30am at this location as I was told I could by the representative who re-booked me, which had to be done two days before my move because U-Haul waited until then to call me and say they didn't have a truck available at the original location I'd booked at at least three weeks prior. I had ubered to the store to get truck and after I walked through the mobile checkout process got a message on screen saying I had to see a store representative. Shortly after, I saw a man who working there walking around on the lot. I asked him for help getting the truck. He said we are a storage facility first and foremost, U-Haul is not our primary business and we don't open until 10am, so I can't help you unil then. He was checking in trucks, which he even seemed annoyed to have to be bothered with. I told him I was in a bind because my movers were arriving at 9:30am. There was an Indian couple there, too having the same issue as me. He didn't help anyone and cleary did not care or feel inclined to make things right. Maybe this happens all the time and he's effen fed up with up. I don't know, but he was had zero empathy. You would think that if this were a known issue, the business owner would flag this for U-Haul, so they'd stop booking people for pick ups before they open. So, this was a wasted trip and I had to uber back home without the truck to meet my movers and while waiting got rained on. It was early Saturday morning, so not many ubers were active and it took a while to get there, so by tge time I got home it was after 9:30am and my movers didn't start until almost 10. Thank God I had a neighbor who was gracious enough to come sit outside and watch my stuff as it sat on the curb in the rain as the movers started stacking it there until I came back with a truck. And, it they could only make two trips in the process because they had no furniture dollies or blankets that I reserved with the truck. My apartment was on the 6th floor. So, once the movers get started, I race back to U-Haul in my own vehicle, which I'd initially left at the apartment, so I could load it with the things I would be taking to my short term rental (before my house is move in ready in late June) while the movers were loading the truck with everything else that would go into storage. I get back to U-Haul. Same jerk is out the counter. I'm cordial...at first, until he tells me they don't keep equipment there, so the two (2) furniture dollies and 10 blankets were not available to take with the truck. As he's checking me out, I call other U-Haul locations to ask if they have these items for rent. They didn't and said it's a widespread issue. So, WHY is U-Haul booking reservations for these items when they can't actually reserve them for rental customers. Anyway, as I'm waiting for the clerk to finish checking the truck out to me, he starts talking to another customer. He remembered me. He knows my situation, but somehow thought I'd be amenable to him not multi-tasking. That's when my voice got about five decibels louderâ€""Will you PLEASE complete my checkout!?!" He did and reminded me to take the truck key, which I was about to walk out without in haste, but then he forgot to email me the rental agreement and documents. While driving back to the apartment in the truck, I called Penske to ask if they have furniture dollies. They did but only rent them out with their moving trucks (note to self). So, I get home, park the truck and alert the movers so they can start loading it. Still...with no dollies or blankets. So, I remember there's a Home Depot across the street. I call them to ask if they have dollies. They do. I walk there (since my car is parked at the "storage" place). I get there, they really only have hand trucks for rent. That alone isn't sufficient because I have REAL furniture and a lot of it. So, I rent one hand truck and buy one (1) furniture dolly because they have them for sale...and cost me a grip! They also sell blankets but they were expensive at $15-30 each, so gentleman working there sensing my distress walks me back to the tool rental area to get blankets. I load the blankets on the hand truck and walk back to my apartment across a busy street dragging a furniture dolly and hand truck. I was still short a furniture dolly, so while the moving sped up, it was still slow even with four movers. I called a friend who was able to bring one more hand truck and a smaller flat dolly she owned to loan me. Had I known in advance that the dollies I'd RESERVED from U-Haul wouldn't actually be RESERVED for me, I'm sure I could have souce additional loaner or rental furniture dollies, as I could only afford to buy one at the last minute. I called U-Haul that morning on my way back home in the Uber and they offered me a $50 credit. Well, that was BEFORE I came to find out there were no dollies or blankets, so that is not acceptable. I called U-Haul back after my friend arrived with the extra dollies and I could calm down enough to get food being weak from the undue stress to open a customer action case. This fiasco cost me extra time (3 hours + having to return to the apartment on Mother's Day) and money ($510 overtime for movers for the 4 guys for 3 extra hours and $225 to buy a single furniture dolly) and extra stress (having to go back on Mother's Day to get the rest of my stuff for my short term rental stay) on my move. If U-Haul doesn't make things right, I will never use them again for anything and I will discourage others from doing so. And, either way, I will never shop at or accept a rental at this particular "storage" center location or any other U-Haul "third party dealer" location.Tashi E.

I live in the city and needed to rent a uhaul to pick up some furniture really quick. I came to to this location and noticed it was a Uhaul and Storage establishment. Once I walked in and got checked in everything was pretty standard, except for the responses coming from the desk representative. Once I was told the gas was on a quarter of a tank, I questioned why the gas is so low for a pick up truck? The response came from more fustration than professionalism being that they guy felt I should know that its a 2nd party company as he explained that its how the customers return the trucks. I was not fond of his answer but continued on to get my truck after asking which truck it would be and where was it located. He responded with the truck no. and the location. He mentioned that he had just pulled the truck in and that it was located on the front row in front of the entry door. It was pouring rain outside as I walked over to the truck. The 1st thing I noticed besides the mention of minimum gas was that the top right edge of the truck looked like it had been hit by a tree or a cement bridge. It was totally damaged and practically missing. The wood was beat up, exposed and falling off. Next after climbing into the truck, the ordor itself was not nice nor did it feel and look clean. I turned the truck on and there were a few indiction lights on which also included a check the tire lights. Again it was a stormy day and I honestly did not feel safe driving a Beat Up Uhaul truck had multiple indication lights on including the tire light. I walked back into the building to inform of the light indicators and requested another van or truck. I was immediately reassigned to another truck but once i asked for the new location of this vehicle , the desk representative became very short and uncoporative towards the location of the truck. He stated, he did not know and that I would have to walk around and find it.. WHICH WAS NOT THE ANSWER THE FIRST TIME AROUND, he became short with me and never addressed or apologized for providing me with a faulty truck that before he mentioned, he just pulled in. No customer should have to go search for a truck in a parking lot filled with over 30 and being told by the company, to find it. It was raining and I didn't have to do that for the 1st truck I was assigned. I would not recommend this location to anyone because of my personal experience where I felt that professionalism lacked. I should have never been given a truck that appears as though it needs to be in the shop but definitely not on the road. Its unfortunate that businesses get negative feed back based off their customer service.Tareka W.

This was an absolute horrible experience with uhaul. It will make me reconsider using them for future moves. I chose the truck share 24/7 option to begin y move at 8 since the facility opened at 10 which was too late for me to begin. I got to U-Haul to pick up my truck only to find out that the location didn't actually support the 24/7 truck share option but I was never informed of this. I only found this out after being on the phone with uhaul customer service for 1.5 hours which included being hung up on once and getting transferred multiple times to different departments that said they couldn't actually help me with my problem and was unsure why the previous person transferred me to them. Ultimately couldn't get my truck until the facility opened so that pushed back my move and wasted the time of the people volunteering to help me move. When I finally got my truck it was in such poor condition. It was damaged all over, the back was dirty, and the cab had trash scattered throughout. I also reserved a furniture dolly, appliance dolly, and 24 blankets. The facility had ONLY ONE BLANKET and nothing else. All in all the worst moving experience I've ever had which is solely to blame on uhaul.Evan L.
Uhaul smelled like cigarette smoke when we picked it up. Used Lysol wipes to wipe down the cab (thinking that would eliminate the cigarette smell) and they turned black from the seats being filthy! We made the same trip 15 months ago and the cost of the uhaul went up by $300! Staff was friendly! Location was clean and convenient to our address.TINA B.

The truck was pretty filthy. Cup holders had not been cleaned in a long time, wasn't vacuumed. Found a rolled cigarette and what looked like drug paraphernalia. THEN YOU CHARGE ME A CLEANING CHARGE after I disputed it in the turn in process.David P.

Terrible customer service. Felt like I was an imposition when I returned the truck. Complicated steps stated to me in rapid fire. Forced to use automated return process due to claimed â€œCovid restrictions, explained to me by someone not wearing a mask. Lots of staff, laughing and cutting up in the office. Then did not receive the â€œcodeâ€, so was told to take pics of the dash and mail to a mgr. I then received code on phone 2.5 hours later. I have used this location for years but last two time experience was horrible. Will look for a different locationPeter H.

The truck was covered in uno cards. I had also rented 2 dollies but when I arrived the man at the counter said they had none left (customers don't return them and they have to charge them for the dollies) but if they do charge them, then why are there still no dollies. I had to rent dollies from Home Deport instead and they were 3 times more expensive. It's a bit concerning to me that a "moving and storage resource" has no moving equipment.Audrey S.
On Friday March 11th i rented a van from 1 - 4pm. I returned the van at 3pm and attempted twice to use the scan code for turning in the keys. I went inside and asked if they could help me and a gentlemen with glasses informed me that i had to do self check-in, i tried once more and after getting a â€œyour session has timed outâ€ prompt for the 3rd time i went back inside and told him it wasn't working. He immediately seemed annoyed to have to help me. He handed me a card and said send the pictures to this email and leave the keys on the desk. He proceeded to get up and walk away to the back. Before i walked out i asked the another gentlemen working there if â€œi was goodâ€ and he said â€œyea well take care of itâ€. Well my original $55 charge turned into $92 because they in-fact did not take care of it. They left the keys on the desk for the AM crew to incur additional charges because they thought i kept the van over night. This is ridiculous because i returned the van earlier than scheduled. Im now waiting for some form of refund from u haul that they said would be 3 - 5 business days but i still haven't received anything after a whole week. For a service that should've been straight forward and assistance that was not at all unreasonable to ask for i was treated very unprofessionally and i wont ever come back to this place again.Daniel A.

The person behind the desk looked up my reservation and told me I had an e alert. After 30 minutes of being on hold with customer and getting transferred twice, they said they had the wrong account pulled up and there was not an alert. Finally got the keys and they said the truck was in the lot. Went out there and it wasn't where they said. Walked around the lot and finally found it but wasn't the size my reservation was for. Had to go back and go through the pick up process all over. I was there for nearly an hour and a half.Dana T.

The inside of the truck was filthy. Dirty, garbage in the door. sticky cupholders with broken key chain in it. Dirty floors. Hand truck and a bunch of unfolded blankets in the back. I had to clean up your dirty truck to make sure I wasn't charged for the mess. Not pleased.Chris B.

I scheduled an early pick up through the app for 9 AM, February 19, 2022 at the Space Shop Self Storage 14th Street in Atlanta, GA. I had movers waiting at my home being paid by the hour. When I arrived at the facility, an employee informed me the early option had been out for months and was not working. At no point during the two weeks since I scheduled my reservation did anyone reach out to say that would not be possible. So I had to wait an hour to pick up my truck, even though I was parked right next to it. The attendant gave me the customer service number to speak with Uhaul to try and straighten the fiasco out. During my 40 minutes of calls I was handed off to four different people, the first three doing nothing nor apologizing for the inconvenience. I finally reached a fourth individual who was at least able to provide a credit for a portion of my ride due to the inconvenience and the costs I'd incurred related to my movers who were not able to move due to no fault of their or my own. Moving is one of the most stressful things a person can do, and having a system not work was extremely frustrating. Additionally, the fact that no one from Uhaul or the third party felt the need to call me after booking to let me know by early pickup actually wouldn't work was even more infuriating. What would have happened if I had scheduled a 6 AM pickup instead of just an hour early? When I finally received my truck, the attendant was adamant that when I dropped of the truck after hours, I would check in and close the reservation by scanning the QR next to the drop box. When I arrived and parked the vehicle as instructed, I attempted to check the truck back in, but the app would not work and one of the QR codes was not even active. I locked the truck and put the key in the dropbox. I have no confidence that the reservation has been closed out. From start to finish no one accepted responsibility, acknowledged the inconvenience they put me in or the money they cost me with my movers. Additionally no portion of the reservation scheduling/drop of process worked as intended. Along with this the items I ordered with my move (dolly and utility dolly) could not be provided and was not informed in advance. I would 100% never use this location again.WILLIAM G.

This location apparently does not offer mobile check out service for rentals. They contacted me late afternoon on the day before my mobile checkout reservation to tell me that I would not be able to get my truck until 10 am the next day when they opened. I should have been told that when I initially made the mobile pickup reservation, either by Uhaul or them. They did allow me to pickup my truck a day earlier prior to closing. Uhaul should update their website to reflect no mobile pickup service at this location.Leonard J.

Uhaul was disgusting. Food and trash in the cab. Gas gauge faulty and was not full when I picked up. Disappointing as we often rent large vehicles to transport items for our shop. I was given a truck that the gas spout cover was broken and therefore unable to open to refill the gas tank. I noticed this right away and let the employee know. She proceeded to give me another truck that was left sitting in the parking lot with the back door completely open and a storm had just hit, and there was a huge pool of water in the truck. She then upgraded me to a larger truck (only because there were no other available trucks in the size of my reservation). This truck was also wet inside from the storm due to the back door being left open as well. The employee proceeded to tell me that she could not give another truck in that size because the other trucks in the lot were reserved (but so was mine!!). She offered me an even larger truck but that would have been too difficult to handle and I was not prepared for that size. When I went to go return the truck and keys, the contactless return procedure was not working and it is a $20 fee to have someone at the store help you process the return. Overall, I am confused and disappointed that the employees did not inspect the truck before handing me the keys and the condition the trucks are left.ELANA L.

I learned on my rental day, when I showed up for my rental, that this vendor no longer provides U-Haul services. I ended up having to go to another U-Haul provider ... and almost missed out in getting the van size I had reserved two weeks earlier. Also, SHAME ON U-HAUL ... I was never notified by U-Haul that the vendor with whom I was originally reserved no longer serviced U-HAUL pick-ups.THOMAS C.

To whom this may concern, I have always preferred Uhaul to other companies but the service has definitely declined. I rent a truck or trailer from you guys two to three times a month and the staff never walks me out and the are Very frustrated when we are unable to use the app to check back in. If Sunshine is on duty, thing work smoothly. She expresses empathy with customers, where others that work there could care less and make clear. She is very thorough with her explanation of how to return vehicles. In the past that has been a huge problem at this location. Mirror on truck was broken as well as picked truck up with only 1/4 tank of gas. More gas would be nice when you pick the truck up along with all the mirrors in working order. Truck also squealed loud from 55mph to 60mph. Sounded like a pulley was going bad.ROBERT M.
