I had to turn the vehicle in after hours, and did everything they told me to do to turn it in. When they asked about applying an 84 dollars charge for not turning it in with less than half the tank I disputed it because that's the amount of gas it had when I picked it up. I had to fill it up just to take it to where I was going and they charged my card for the 84 dollars anyway.
ELEXUS TI had trouble with self check in, but staff took care of me quickly. Great staff, great price.
ELIZABETH GThis whole experience was not good. I only rented this truck because I had a VERY HEAVY piece of Equipment to move. I needed a furniture dolly. I called to confirm the availability of a furniture dolly. The representative said he had one and he would put one in the van after we spoke.When I got the van, NO DOLLY. This move had to be done early in the morning. So, I chose to check in on the app at 6AM. The app check in online was TERRIBLE. It took NINE times to take a picture of my license that was acceptable for the app. This was on a brand new iPhone. So, this quality of the phone should not have been a problem. The check in process for the van was just as clunky. Bad experience from start to finish.

JERRY PWhen you have faithful customers that continually use your services you should always make them feel more appreciated by giving them discounts on rentals, that way we can overlook deficiencies in maintenance. Ratchets on car carriers that don't work properly and trucks that have issues/ engine light caution, brakes etc.
JERRY MThe gentleman who hooked up the trailer went above and beyond to make sure that everything was safe and ready to go. Much appreciated. Keep up the strong work.

RICHARD MUnfortunately the location was closed earlier than I thought. We had to leave the truck and check out on the app.
Susan DUHAUL truck was not swept out in the back and had a lot of dirt on the floor in the cab. I drove the truck 7 miles and put 4.183gal of gas in it and was charged an additional $18 for 4gal of fuel. I purchased 2 full size mattress bags at this location that were going for $7.50 a piece on the UHAUL website but not available for pickup. Southside Rental were I picked up the UHAUL charged me $32.10 for the 2 bags.

alex tNever ran into more incompetent people. Used them 2x in a week, both times there were items I ordered but did not find out until pickup they were not available. The Morton St. location was apparently run by a lazy little girl who was not willing to help find the trailer I ordered because she was in her pajamas. If I am ever in a conversation with someone about moving, I will go out of my way to tell them the poor service Uhaul offers.
CHRISTOPHER BThe truck was muddy and not swept when we received it. We had to sweep and mop and it also had broken glass that had to be removed before we could use. Our pick up was after hours, so we did not have any recourse

STANLEY FBe sure the trucks are in working order before sending them out. The transmission on the truck I used was slipping so bad that I wasn't sure it was going to make it back to Bloomington. The light came on shortly after I picked it up and every time I accelorated uphill, the transmission would slip.
Dedra TFloors were pretty dirty in the back…but they're floors and we had a raining moving day. Costumer service was amazing, my brother picked up and dropped off and forgot his wallet, they called before we got too far which was super nice and helpful! Above and beyond!
SAMUEL PU-HAUL corporate, in this modern era, should be able to tell a customer exactly what truck they will get and when. As well as what packing products are available at every rental location when booking. U-HAUL Corp fails in both categories. Amazon can ship me a package 30 minutes after my order, but U-HAUL can't commit to a 10 foot truck reserved 60 days out at a specific location. You all need to modernize your technology. It impacted me as a client, and now I will look elsewhere my next move.
MICHAEL LOverall, great experience from Southside Rentals. Staff was friendly and courteous. Only concern was that the front right tire needed to be replaced. It was bald on the outer edges. Would not have been a good rental for a long haul. Just check your tires before you drive off the lot.
DANA WNot impressed. Vehicle was out of fuel when I picked it up. Check engine light came on a few times. Took them 4 days to check it in after I returned it. They randomly added add on services to my bill I didn't request.
CHRISTOPHER LWe called and asked if we could drop the trailer off 2 days early and asked if we would get any money back they said no not on one way rentals. We also told them I would get there after they closed at 4 is that a problem. They said no told me where to park it . They closed at 4 I got there at 4:15 parked the trailer where they told me and the next day I get a $20 charge for after ours? This is ridiculous

WENDY DDue to unclear return instructions, I parked the U-Haul in an upper lot next to other trucks. As I was completing the return in the U-Haul app, an employee came up and sternly informed me that "This doesn't go up here." A calm demeanor and good customer service were lacking making it an uncomfortable interaction.
TERRAN MThe most traumatic experience of my life. I was cussed at, chased, harassed - I had to call the police for help. Went to drop off the u-haul at this location which is required in my contract and the owner came out yelling at me to go somewhere else after 5 hours of travel. She said she had no room for it even after it was parked in her lot. The police had to force her to take the u-haul so I could leave. I felt my life threatened. She called a strange, very vocal man to come join her in her harassment. He wasn't even involved and just showed up in sweats and a hoodie. Never identified himself. I will NEVER EVER work with u-haul EVER again... Absolutely terrifying experience. Had a police report filed. Thank God for the Bloomington Police.
DALLAS WI don't appreciate the fact that uHaul advertised the rental at $18 then there was a rental fee of $18! Like what the heck is that a charge to actually rent the equipment versus just browsing the lot! Just advertise the price people hate being nickeled and dimed to death that crap worked with the Biden administration but under Trump not so much!

FRANK DThe truck smelled like cigarette smoke. There were ashes in the drink holder and on the dash. The drink holder had thick, sticky stuff in it. In the back of the truck, something had been spilled in it that was deep orange, and we had to do a thorough cleaning with a lot of cleaner and paper towels before we were even able to use it. We picked up the truck after hours and had to have it that night to pack for a move the next morning, so we had no choice but to take it. I have time stamped pictures of the truck before we ever left the lot.

CHRISTINA SI spent 2 hours there trying to rent a car trailer. First 2 the breaks were pulled and no one knew about it until we had them both hooked to my truck. Then I was told to call a 800 number to find a different location, after 28 on hold with the 800 number a guy comes outside the building and tells me he found a 3rd trailer that I could rent but they needed to check it in first. So I hang up my phone talked to the guy and got that trailer come to find out. I had to call the 800 again to get stuff changed on my reservation. I got to southside at 845a and didn't leave until after 11a. U-haul In general is a joke. My voice rent from a different company.
BARBARA SGave me a 15' foot truck with a quarter tank of gas, drove it maybe 10 miles during rental, was charged around $40 just for gas...
Aidan SU-haul was filthy, full on dog hair and windows were filthy also. I requested a utility dolly online when I reserved truck, when we returned home there was not one in truck. We had to send my son back to pick one up they did not have one!! That caused us to lose valuable time loading truck!

Michalene RThere was dogs hair all over the van which I had to clean for 30 min by myself using a broom and there was a foul smell inside the vehicle which was unbearable. There was food spilled in the drivers cabin as well, overall the experience was horrible.

JOSE GFor a GMC cargo van with over 18,000 miles it was great. We used it to haul our Scottish items to the Columbus, Indiana Scottish Festival on a Friday. Reloaded and returned to Bloomington on Sunday. Perfect vehicle for the purpose. Easy to drive, easy to load and unload. Right side double door & rear double door. Not new vehicle sparkling clean, few scratches (marked as already recorded with stick-on labels), and some dust. Big deal. Did the job with no problems at all. Will rent again next year.

nicholas mThis location had absolutely no accompanying items for sale. I could not purchase a lock, rope, or straps. Also, the side mirrors on the truck were not properly tightened and I had to constantly reposition them throughout the rental period.
Bradley LThe guy who was working the day I picked up my U-Haul was extremely helpful. I had signed up for an early morning pick up, but it didn't go through in the system so he helped me get everything taken care of.
