Went there to pick up my auto transport. When I arrived I was told to go back up the truck and do it myself. Then when I asked, since it was a very small gas station and I already had a 20ft U-haul truck, how was I going to get my car onto the transport I was told to "Go find a big lot and do it". I had to keep protesting that I was not attaching the auto transport myself to the uhaul truck that I had to rent and drive to another location to get the auto-transport. Then I was informed well they could do it but "there would be a fee if I wanted the workers at this location to attach my auto-transport to the uhaul" I had to protest again and tell them that they needed to attach it because how would I know if I did it correctly and that it was safe. I was driving almost 500 miles to Buffalo, NY. This location was awful to deal with and I would never recommend anyone to go there. The fact that they clearly knew I was correct that they had to hook-up the transport but they did not want to go out into the drizzle to do so was ridiculous. Even to the point they only offered to do it but I had to pay them extra!!

Tell them to clean the place. It was filthy! Also, I couldn’t get a day rate. I picked up the truck at 9:00 am and could have returned by 3:00 pm. I was told I had to rent it for two days!

Returning the rental was sketchy. The units are situated in a grassy field which was difficult to navigate. The employee in the adjacent gas station was pleasant but could not provide any form of a receipt to verify the return and indicated that the "man will check them in when he returns." My only salvation was that I had a person with me to witness the return. Very uncomfortable dropping off your equipment without a receipt.

The staff didn’t show me or help attach the full car trailer to the truck and thankfully I had my brother in law because it was in the worst spot where you couldn’t attach the trailer. So we have to lift the trailer to properly attach the trailer to the truck. Worst service I ever seen!

Husband, wife, young son team - young son (A+ Rating) full service at the gas pump received a tip from me, and I witnessed a tip from another driver. Wife signing-out the uhaul trailer (A+ rating) very helpful. Husband, not friendly at all - anti-social, and offered no greeting, offered no assistance with locating or hooking-up the trailer, was on his cell phone sitting at the desk. I hooked up the trailer by myself.

When we went to pick up the truck, The person at the counter said they had to leave and would be back. We had to wait for almost an hour before they came back for us to rent the truck. This is unacceptable.

The trailer was on a dirt lot and stuck in mud. My husband tried to get it out and couldn’t. We had to ask them to help us get it out and hitched up. 40 miles later we were on the Massachusetts pike when the safety chain started dragging on the ground as it hadn’t been properly attached and we had to pull onto the shoulder in busy Friday traffic to fix it. Make sure your staff is capable and helpful.

Like may of the U Haul sites they are housed within another business. The proprietor might not be available to deal with your pick-up or drop of questions when you arrive on the premises.

Called the drop off location to ask wherr to put the trailer. They told me where they wanted it. I asked if I needed to check in with them. They said no, they did not need to see me. Did not seem professional. Last trailer I rented from uhaul the puck up and drop off places went over the trailer with me to see if there were any issues or damage.

clear out the trailers and ensure it is empty. no reason a fridge should have been left inside of it taking up the entire space. make sure all employees are on the same page as to when the product could be back as i was instructed that bringing it back the next day would be fine. also do not advertise 18 dollars then charge someone 53. that is false advertising. poor customer service. Also, there was no professionalism at all, The Manager was rude. i normally never complain, i work in retail, i understand that sometimes customers are hard to deal with, he had no reason to be rude. will not be going back to this location anymore. nor do i recommend others to.

I requested a dolly and I was told by three people beforehand that I would have one with my truck rental. When I got there the lady told me “nope don’t got one, tough out of luck” their friends were hanging around in the office and rudely interrupting while I was trying to get my paper work processed so I didn’t have any time to ask questions. I also picked the truck up and it wasn’t on full but my paper work said it was and the lady didn’t help me. I called customer service and they said to tell drop off. When I told them they told me oh well, call customer service and charged my card $59, when I filled the tank up to where I picked it up front at 3/4 of a tank.

The availibility of furniture pads is highly unlikely at the small pickup locations even when requested at the time of booking. I spoke to an customer service agent who refunded the pads ordered but I will have to call again because the credit hasn’t shown up in a week.

Uhaul was fine i paid the C&E moving company to help me move. I call the morning to confirm the time they would be coming. The representative says she has a confirmed time of 4:30 pm (we were scheduled for 1130) she says oh yeah ill call you back in 20 mins. 2 hours goes by and we finally call her back to get an eta and she says that her driver got into an accident and wont be able to come until later but she will call back to figure something out in 40 mins after another hour and a half we call again and this time a guy answers and says were very busy we will call you back. Never got a call back and after all that we get a text message from them saying they are really sorry and so embarrased about what happen and would try to come tommrow i ask them if we can get a discount because we already rented the uhaul and had to pay for a day basically wasted and they tell us if were not happy we can cancel for a refund and hire someone else for another day. What kind of company tells us to just cancel the service after they dropped the ball multiple times? And if there movers got into an "accident " what are they emabrrassed about? They are very unprofessional and i would not recommend them.

I was overcharged for the rental. The express check in was a waste of time. They automatically assigned me insurance, which I did not want. The charrge had already been done when I checked back in and I wasn’t wasting any more tine for $8.

Location kind of sketchy area without any type of security or secure drop area. Convenient because they have an after hours drop box but would have felt better leaving your equipment closer to the building.

Staff was great! Very helpful. Unfortunately, reserving ancillary equipment like dollies and blankets online are wrong because they don't have those items. Frustrating! But they worked with me to do what they could.

I requested a 1 day Moving 15' Truck Rental on March 28, 2018 at Southbridge Gas Station & Auto Repair ( U-HAUL RENTAL) 176 Worcester St Southbridge, MA; in which I returned the truck by March 29, 2018 at 12:30 am at the same U-Hau Rental Placel. It comes up on my American Express Account that I was charged a 2 Day Rental + a $25 Cleaning Fee for which I did not agree on since the truck was turned in completely clean as we received it and I even put more gas than I had used in the tank. My daughter called on April 1, 2018 to talk with the man owner of the place just to mention the error they had made in billing us and that he could even check his cameras to verify that the truck was returned not even 7 hours after it being rented. He evened cuzzed out my daughter calling her, and I quote; "MOTHERFUCKER". She just told him that for his such bad behavior she wasn't going to talk nothing else with him and that the next day I (her mother would be going personally to talk with them. When I was back in town, the next day, we vwent personally to talk with them, me thinking that the lady owner would be much more polite and professional. I claimed for what I understood was correct, she tod me that wasn't going to do anything and that I had to call U-Haul not them. She kept on claiming that the rental had been done on Saturday and that sunday they were closed and that was why she was charging me for 2 days. I corrected her telling her that the rental contract had been done on Wednsday, March 28 and had been returned on Thursday morning, March 29, 2018 at 12:30 am. Then she started to get very rude, screaming at me. I asked her politely to bring her voice down; because I could perfectly hear her and I wasn't screaming at her. She just kept on screaming; so I started to scream at her also. she started screamin back; "Get the Fuck out of here, get the Fuck out of my place. So I did but not before telling her and her husband off for I knew that he also had dared to call my daughter a "MOTHERFUCKER" the day before on the phone. Never have had such a terrible experience in my whole life.. U-HAUL shouldn't be having these kind of people working for them; since it could cost them to be sued in court; for such awful maltreatment towards a costumer.

Great experience! Couldn't ask for more from the dealer - they went above and beyond to accommodate. We stopped in a few days before move to make sure things were okay and things went smoothly.

The only problem we had was that we had an appointment at 9 and no one even showed up until 9:15 am. I had previously chosen 8am, but the computer said they were not open then. If the Uhaul part of the business was not opening until later that day, I would have appreciated being notified. Other than that, all was as expected.

HORRIBLE. I got to the location for the time i reserved it, 730 am... I was not able to use self-pick up like I should have because the location did not do hat they needed to do on their end. I called Jim Blair, which my app told me to do for 24 our service and it went straight to voicemail. I proceeded to ask the employee in the store for help and he did not know how to release it so he told me I was out of luck and I left. After calling 15 other uhaul locations, no one else had any trucks available so I called the 1800 uhaul number to ask them to talk to the employee at the store and walk him through it at which point the employee told the customer service rep that I refused to give him my credit card. That never happened... the customer service rep then argued with me and sided with him. I was forced to go back to that location and argue with him to figure it out and get me a uhaul because it was my only option and I had reserved this in advance. He finally was able to get me one after screaming at me and kicking me out, I drove off with a uhaul at 11 am setting my whole day back. So Uhaul has a reservation guarantee, where is my $50??

Rented over 2 weeks in advance for a Northboro Ma drop off. I had to drive 35 to pick up and 35 miles back to pack and move to Vermont. Shame on Uhaul

Clean the vehicle and get rid of the stink. Did not appreciate the comment " if you have any problems, don't call me." The pick up location marked the gas gauge 1/4 tank higher than it was. This is the first rental I have done and did not realize what had happened until I was home. This place was not a nice place.

I was extremely dissatisfied with the circumstances surrounding the return of my rental truck on June 25th. I was set to return my truck to New England Truck Stop in Sturbridge, MA -- my contract set the due date for Monday, June 26th by 10:33am, but because all our moving was to be completed by Sunday, I wanted to get it back that day -- in fact I even chose this particular store because they had Sunday hours (until 5:00pm). I arrived at the store at 3:30pm, and it was closed. There was another person there who had a 3pm PICKUP from the same location for a move to Atlanta -- same thing, doors locked, no one there. After speaking to customer service, who told me to look for the orange drop box... I searched the premises multiple times, and there was no box either. Finally, customer service changed my drop off location to allow me to take the truck to another location that actually had a working drop box (but no Sunday hours). Needless to say, I find this level of service to be completely unacceptable. I set this drop-off location specifically because of their hours and my supposed ability to settle my contract promptly. This was not possible. And this comes after being informed the day before my pickup that the pickup location was going to be a good 20-25 miles away from my preferred location, forcing me to dramatically alter my plans to accommodate this inconvenience. This is the second time U-Haul has sent me to a far away pickup location for my rental. I returned my truck in the exact same condition as when I picked it up, with a full tank of gas, and nearly 19 hours before its due time, showing a level of respect as a customer that, in my opinion, has not been returned by U-Haul. I will not be using your service in the future.

The guy was rude to me on the phone. I has returned a missed phone call to the location to be sure the reservation was okay. I said i was confirming my 2pm appt. He then said "i dont care when you said it needs to be in the computer.." he then insisted i come right then to get the truck which was 1 hour before i was supposed to be there so i wasnt prepared. I got there and i said i was there for the uhaul pick up he replied "big deal" ... i now have THREE charges on my debit card from Uhaul.. 2 for 48.56 and 1 for 46.46. The 46.46 was the confirmed total once i returned it. So my bank account is now miss almost 100 dollars. Im extremely dissatisfied will the whole process. Not to mention the phone calls i will have to make to figure out where my money is.

The office is not clean, customer service did the best she could but appeared inexperienced in dealing with U-HAUL transaction. The vehicle was not cleaned, smelled like smoke, and did not want to move without pressing the gas pedal down significantly

i was stopped but the police after picking up the uhaull and a trailer to haul my car. They told me I had to have a plate on the trailer and they would not let me travel on without it. I was upset!!!!!!
