Uhaul had to reschedule our pick-up across the city to this location after the first truck location was completely snowed in - no shovels, personnel, etc there to assist. At the new pick-up location (Shawarma Palace), luckily there was an in-person pick-up. Equipment was clean but truck was again stuck in a snowbank and was not cleaned off at all from snow and ice. If we hadn't brought our own ice scraper, we would not have been able to clear off the windshield. The gentleman at the pick-up location did help us dig out the truck, but he did not have an ice scraper. Pick-up was on Saturday and snow/ice had been there since snowfall on the previous Monday.David H.

When I arrived at the U-Haul location, the temperature was around -19c. The administrator was very efficient. He quickly did the check-in and delivered the truck. I had the same experience when I did the check-out. Overall, I was very impressed with the check-in and check-out process I had at this location. This entire experience has been absolutely absurd. The gross incompetence of your customer service and staff is beyond compare. The disregard for customer satisfaction and meeting reservations is truly absurd. I would never recommend uhaul to anyone and will actively advise all to avoid. How can you improve? Have the equipment reserved and rented actually available. Staff offer no solutions or help, offer incorrect information, and result in astronomical additional fees to the customer. This ridiculous experience went from a $29 rental to a $570 charge that is entirely the fault of your staffing. Someone will need to follow up with this response IMMEDIATELY to rectify.BLAKE D.

We arrived at approximately 4pm on a Monday and there was no one in the office, no instructions were provided anywhere as to where to leave the vehicle, where to leave the keys and then I noticed that my credit card was charged an additional 22.00 for no apparent reason. What a stark difference between the pick up service and the drop off location! You would think that a large centre in Toronto would have better service.Alexandre Y.
Actually, we just referred to this location with other truck renter because they had no truck that we booked. The guy on this location, very accommodating, nice and kind as we arrived till we returned the truck in the afternoon. This guy saved our day as we scheduled to moved in during that day. Because we really in need for a bigger truck on that day for the moved in. A highly recommended place for truck rent.Edwin E.
The experience through the website was terrible. When checking the reservation the morning of it stated to pick up the truck at 456 Parliament street, which was closed. When I called, the customer service agent was helpful and in directing me to the Livingstone location. However this incident cost me in the Uber fare and an hour of lost time for my move/elevator booking. When returning I was under the impression I could drop off the truck at any location. When returning the truck after hours, the website stated I had to return the truck to 231 Livingstone after having parked at another location. The whole interaction with the uhaul.com website was frustrating and enough to derter me from using U Haul again.Keenan H.
It can be a little hard to find if one is using TTC, as there is another Uhaul place at the bud stop, but that place is more than happy to help you find the correct place. Maybe a note somewhere in the booking process for this location that informs people about this little hiccup. It not a big deal really, but something to think about.Anthony S.

Please hire honest employees. I originally booked an 20 foot truck with a dozen blankets and one dolly one month ahead. When I contacted the place to confirm my order two days before the pickup date, they said that specific truck had a crash and offered me a 15 foot with the same price!! Then in the pickup data, the employee tried to convince me to drop off the truck in the same place (although my drop off reservation address was another city). Then he gave me the truck which had a lot of snow on it. I cleaned it myself and after a while he assigned me another truck, which I cleaned again. He charged me for the dolly (which I already paid for that) and told that they don't have blankets!! This was my first experience with U-Haul and it was very disppointing. That's why I will never recommend it to a friend.Tohid Y.

I got my truck 40 mins late. The truck was giving an oil change sign and beeping. I was also charged $21 extra for fuel when i brought the truck with gas at the same level. I have a photo proof before and after renting the truck.AMAR M.
There was only one person working and so the wait times were very long. The person working would have to leave the desk to go move trucks around because the trucks were so closely put together and the ground was not even salted which resulted in our wheels spinning and an inability to get out of the lot.Jacob G.
The whole pick up experience was chaotic. On Saturday we waited in line for 30 minutes and then â€œsorry no truckâ€. The following day it was a complete zoo again â€" huge line, only one person working, trucks parked so close together that no one could get out without other trucks needing to be moved. Maybe having 2 people working and arriving before opening time to make sure everything is ready for the day would be a good start. Everyone standing in line had 15 suggestions for how to make it more efficient. If you decide to rent from here, do your pickup on a weekday. It's way faster. Pick up your truck at 4 pm on Friday if you want to use it Saturday.Trenton M.
have you heard of salt in a canadian winter? why were we skating in the parking lot. do you want a client to have an accident and sue you because you were too cheap to have someone salt the driveway? also you must now that you need a bigger lot. there was a bottleneck trying to get trucks out. not to mention the fact that we waited in line for over 30min. many clients were late to their moving appointments because you had only one employee on staff who had to do both admin and moving the vans/ trucks... it was such a disgrace... AI will send you out of business if you don't get your act together. be professional. you think people are paying to be late to their appointments? if you claim to be a business act like one.LUISE M.

The order was booked for 8am. It was clearly and well start throughout the ordering process and at the time of the order that I was to pick the truck up at 8am. The 24/7 pickup service was not available without any advance warning. I waited 1hr15min in a parking lot before I received the truck. Unless a discount/refund is issued I will not ever use uhual again.Aaron D.

The service I received from the gentleman behind the somewhat very unusual and totally unexpected wornout 'transport trailer'... was outstanding - he was friendly and extremely helpful and apologetic for the condition that he had me enter! I have to say that when I booked the UHAUL van, I expected to be doing business in a professional retail office setting not behind a Shawarma resturant.back alley.....I actually called the UHAUL head office in the States to confirm the location - I was a bit nervous....I expected UHAUL to have a more professional location - I don't understand your business direction - I was tempted to take my business elsewhere.....To repeat - high praise to your service representative - get him a better office!Carl H.

They really need to give the vans a quick clean after they're returned. Especially during covid i would expect not to find empty coffee cups, tissues (eeww) and this time a hairbrush in the cab. Just get rid of the garbage and take 2 minutes to wipr down the cab before sending it out to a customer. GraciasDan S.

Not the preferred pick up location we had choose. After being redirected several times thru uhauls customer service I was told this was only a preference and doesn't actually mean anything. Because of this it created a major inconvenience and added miles to our trip that wouldn't have been there initially. Going forward it would be nice if it was made clear to the customer.KERRYROY G.

The lock box was incredibly difficult to open and as a single woman going to open it at night the location did not feel super safe as there were lots of corners, shadows and potential hiding places for someone to be lurking. Because the box was so hard to open I had to stand there for a long time at night and it was really unsettling. I think more can be done to make these spaces safer and more comfortable for women to use.EMMA T.
