Took more than 45 minutes to pick up rental some due to payment issues but mostly because management would stop to chat with employees, answer telephone calls and have leisurely conversations... at one point called myself and my sister Christine Blakley “broke”.... very unhappy ... was charged 110 dollars for going 86 miles, less than six hours, and a full tank of gas.... insurance added that wasn't asked for... will be leaving a bad review of uhaul and Sam's auto and glass

I was slighted an appliance dolly and when I called to complain, I was informed it was my fault for not checking before I drove an hour down the road. To be fair I understand double checking the renters promise would have saved me some trouble. I don't necessarily believe the fault lies with the customer. If this isn't resolved I'll never rent from uhaul again and Sam's obviously lost my business.

the online check in only left me no options but to use my phone online which I never do nor wish to do. I still had to check in at the location in person, still had to hand my driver's license and credit card to the counter person. So why the online requirements that I did not want to do? I was also asked if I had a wife/kids and had to give out personal info (Wife's phone, email etc.) that had nothing to do with the car carrier rental. I arrived one hour early and was told I couldn't have the trailer until my 1pm reservation. Very unhappy with this process and will not go through it again. If I had any other options I would not have made the reservation in the first place, Have used U-Haul many times in many places in the past but this may just be the last time I do.

The equipment (utility trailer) was not easy to get to. It was even more difficult to drop off, and if it was dark forget it. The equipment had some damage from previous rentals, but did the job I needed it to do. I did reserve the equipment, and the equipment was available the day of the rental.

Discourage after-hours pickup. It's a remote location with spotty internet and phone service. I was told by an employee of the pickup location that I could call that number if I had trouble after hours. I did have trouble and I did call and was refused help by the owner of the business. He was downright rude to me.

This was 40 minutes out of our way in the middle of nowhere. My pick up place was NOT guaranteed, and I was NOT informed until the night before. Furthermore, there was NOT a furniture dolly in the truck. We paid $10 for something we didn't even receive, and the lady on the phone said there wasn't really anything we could do since I still needed a truck to move and the closest truck was 40 minutes from our storage unit. I booked the truck a MONTH in advance. I'm not sure how a truck company couldn't get a truck from Lathrop MO to St. Joseph MO within a month, but it didn't happen.

I would not recommend mobile check in. It was the worst experience ever and caused delay in our over all move. The customer service reps where very bland and not friendly or helpful

First of all they didn't have the 26' truck I wanted at any of the locations in the nearest town despite booking my reservation almost 2 weeks in advance. Then at the last minute I was set up at a pick-up location almost 40 miles away. This forced me to change my plans and get the truck after hours which involved the self check out process. The pick-up location was very poorly lit which didn't allow me to complete the pre inspection process properly because I couldn't really see anything well. Only in the light of day the next morning could I see that the cab was fairly dirty with a few dead flys on the dash. Also, instead of the 12 blankets I requested I was given an appliance dolly that I didn't need. Upon returning the vehicle to the drop off location I was then charged about$120 on fines for a cleaning fee and the "missing" blankets that I never received in the first place. Maybe I should have kept the dolly for myself?! I will call customer service to hopefully resolve these issues but otherwise I will post this review on every website possible and take it up with the BBB if need be.

Sam was very helpful and did everything he could to make sure I had my problems fixed that the pickup location caused. If he could not fix it himself he directed me to where to call to get it straightened our.

Contract shows I got 60 blankets but they only had 39 now they want to charge me 210.00 also the a/c was not working on the truck. That was nice 500 mi trip tried to contact roadside assistants could not get anyone to answer the car hauler was not on the contract now they want more money. I would like someone to call me about all this I can't wait 30 min to an hour for coustomer service any more

My last rental I was told to drop off here on a Sunday. This location was closed but I was able to call the owner and he let me drop the trailer then he checked it in for me after the Holiday. He is very helpful and friendly.

The trailers do not have a jack on them, it is very difficult to hook up and disconnect the trailer from your vehicle.

Sam did not ask if I wanted insurance. It was automatically added to my bill. He changed the reservation that I made and did not clearly explain that he was doing that.

Sam was fine. However on this Saturday was the day the U-Haul computers were down and the gal named Britney from KC [(913)-287-1888], who had called me Friday to confirm, had no interest in helping me with my reservation. I finally was able to get ahold of customer service and do the deal over the phone. Sam had no paper contracts and he needs them ASAP.

This is not a negative on Sam's Body and Glass. The St. Joseph, MO office didn't book our reservation correctly, so when my husband went to pick up the trailer, it was not available. We even went in to the store to reserve it, and purchased a tow hitch. However, we were glad to have someone work with us on the 800 number, and get the trailer booked at Sams. It was a bit out of the way, but we were glad to get our tasks done on the day we had taken off work.

I am still waiting to hear from management over the issue I had gettig the truck. Spoke with Deloris Wagner on Saturday. I was suppose to pick the truck up 2 miles from my location, had to drive 30 miles to Lathrop, MO to pick the truck up total of 60 miles to and from. I was told from The Kearney store and Doris that I would not have to pay for the 60 miles vs. 6 miles. Called today and the issue STILL has not been resolved. Not very pleased at this time. Would appreciate SOMEONE to correct this issue. I reserved the truck in advanced and was called the morning I was suppose to pick the uhaul up that I had to drive to Lathrop, MO. Please have someone take care of this issue!

The truck was in poor condition. It was dirty and the rear tires were worn to the wear indicators. That's no reflection on the pickup location.

when changing pick up sites from where originally booked, make sure to have several contact modes available to contact customer. delayed our start by 2 hours having to travel to a different location than where booked.

Since there isn't an "average" selection on three of the questions, we marked them as "not applicable". The personnel seemed unfamiliar with the computer and ended up being locked out of the UHaul site. It took quite a long time to return the truck...so all in all Sam's was average.

When someone picks up a truck the business shouldn't say good luck not sure the truck will make it that far...we are hauling our life in your trucks we should not be researching what to do when we don't make it. The truck was clean but when we got loaded and less than 50 miles from where we picked it up the ABS light came on, hearing how they had gone about 100 miles to retrieve the truck just for us and how it almost wasn't worth the trouble and how it has a horrible shake and he doesn't know if it will make it...again. So if we drove it less than 50 miles and he drove it 100 what's the odds the ABS light was on for him and he just sent us on a 1200 mile trip. Did I mention he only does U-Haul so they get the money for working on the trucks...well work on it before you send us across the country! Then not even halfway into the trip the brake light comes on and singing at us...now what do we do? Well we stop and both of us having our CDL we check the brakes we check the fluid and all seams fine. Have you as U-Haul read your review on what happens if one of your trucks breaks down...well its not good! So that is our last resort because you say to load the heavy twords the front well what does that mean if we have to unload on the side if the road? We had amazing ppl help us load our stuff are you going to? And if you are maybe you should put that out there so ppl don't only read the horrible story's and think that is our option. On top of that is the whineing from the power steering and how when you are in parking lots, gas stations, and town well pretty much when your foot is in the brake you lose your power steering and again this started right from the get go! Most likely you need a whole new gearbox just an FYI

My rating has nothing to do with the Lathrop location. It has to do with my uhaul experience. I had to pay an extra $40 to use uhaul because you could not get a truck to Cameron. I wish I could have found anywhere else to get a truck. Pretty lame experience. Lucky for me Lathrop was good because they said they adjusted my truck being late even though it was 45 minutes early. Horrible horrible experience. I have used uhaul 5 times and this was the worst not sure what has happened to this company. My sister had as nearly as bad of an experience in Kansas City a couple of weeks later.

these people helped us when they could. In the beginning the whole deal was discuss ting. I guess when you reserve a truck and they say it's available it really doesn't mean anything. We were upset and mad because we had to make other arrangements for our family so help us move. In the end it did work out but it should of worked out in the beginning!

Make sure gentleman hlping us, isn't sitting behind a desk behind glass, barely talking to me. Kept asking us all these questions instead of looking at the pamplet that the other location gave us. Genteman said we could pick up deposit at noland rd location. This was incorrect. Had to pay extra gas to get back to noland location, just to find out we have to wait 10 business days to get our deposit back in the mail? Ridiculous.! Called & spoke to 3 different people at differnt locations & never could get a straight answer. Never would I use uhaul again or recommend them to anyone with this horrible service. No one acted like they knew what they were doing

When trying to locate the address and phone number of the Lathrop drop off, we were unable. we called the 800 number for th national line and were told that it would not accept a cell phone call, it must be a land line. We call the emergency trouble 800 number and after much auto talk from the phone, were out on hold for the next available operator and held for many minutes until finally being disconnected. We are concerned that if we had a true emergency, what would happen. Poor response to a customer.

Over all perfect. The windshield wipers could have and should have been replaced. Service was friendly Thanks to Sam. My only real issue is with uhaul, my truck was NOT at the location I booked 2 weeks prior, had to travel 50 miles to a different location.

My reservation was at a different location that u-hual did not honor. I had to drive a 1 hr round trip to get the truck while people had to wait. I was not even notified that the equipment was not present at the original location. It should have been easy but u-haul fails at customer service.

Took forever to get truck. They had to feed the cat on the counter , go to the bathroom, answer phone...wrong paperwork...then they were ready to help us. Didn't get hand trucks and moving blankets requested when order was placed online. Check engine light was on entire 600 mile trip!!

If they say they r going to take care of a contract on saturday, they need to do a better job of taking care of it than on Tues after I had to call 3 times and they wouldn't call me back or answer. It took uhaul calling them before they did it.

The Rental equipment which I had reserved in St. Joseph, Mo. (10) days in advance was not available there requiring that I travel 40 miles (each way) to pick up the Transporter in a small town of Lathrop, Mo. This cost me 3 hours of time plus 80 miles of travel to locate your equipment to where it was originally requested to be picked up. The drop-off point was closed both Sun. and Monday. I had no direct contact with that office. There must be a better way!
