Whoever set up my reservation from this location did not do it properly. Therefore, when I got to the site on a Sunday to check via online I was not able to do so. I had to call the U-Haul helpline and have a representative walk me through it over the phone. It took almost an hour and the movers were scheduled to be at my house already. Then, I was overcharged in the system, however I believe the representative corrected it.Chanelle G.

Was supposed to be ready for pickup at 7am, was not ready until after 10am. Paid movers for a wasted 3 hours and was not given a discount for the guaranteed time not being honored.DAVID H.
The location has very poor signage, and the booking did not specify the name of the business which housed the rental office, as wellas a FedEx and UPS shipping station. Would you look for a U-Haul is a business called Postal Annex, with no vehicles visible (they were visible behind the strip mall, but there was no marked entrance from the back. I drove around the shopping center 3 times, before calling to find out where to go. One agent handling 6 customers in line: one faxing overseas, 1 UHaul pickup, 1 verifying change in reservation, me, and a couple with 2 pa ckages to ship.LIESAJO J.

After my experience with the South Portland store, I was taken aback my the friendliness of the store at Postal Annex on Mt. View Rd. Exceptionally friendly fellow behind the counter.When I mentioned that the South Portland office was supposed to take off the hand truck from my invoice because they hadn't added it to my pickup, he said that it was still on the invoice and he would take it off! Parking is in front of shopping center and truck drop off is in the back. There are no entrance or exits in between. If you are dropping off after hours you will either need a ride or you will have to walk completely around the shopping center to get back to your vehicle.DANIELLE L.

The back of the building smelled like hot garbage. The truck was not swept ... yet i have still pay a 25.00 fee. the interior was not clean. the dash had visible dust and debris on it. And there was even a cigarette ash in the cup holder. The steering wheel was is gross and uncomfortable because it is a foam/plastic wheel that is beyond peeling. Also down by the drivers left foot there were some wires just hanging out. I had to push that back into place. This truck needs some serious touching up.Chris D.

The vehicle was very clean, and the customer service was good, but the back doors of the van were damaged so that they didn't latch properly. Even when they were locked, the door open indicator was on. The doors were only closed by the lock. I think any smack by cargo or from the outside would have caused both doors to open and the cargo to fall out.TANNA M.
My reservation was for Lavergne, TN and I was told I had to drive to Nashville to pick up a van. This cost me extra mileage, gas and valuable time when I wasn't anticipating a change of pickup location. Driving in Nashville in rush hour traffic morning and evening to get this rental van was what I was trying to avoid. Plus paying the extra mileage and losing over an hour moving time. Neither location Lavergne or Antioch TN could compensate me for the costly mess up on UHauls part. Antioch managers was very nice and professional. The location is not convenient for me. I did receive an email from Uhaul the day before the move with a pick up location that did not match my reservation location. Uhaul had phone and computer issues in June 21st and I was unable to reach a customer service rep. I would expect a phone call for a location change 24 hours before pick up and Uhaul to try to accommodate me with different equipment, transfer from another location. It was an awful experience and terrible customer service at Lavergne.MELISSA P.

How about some wheel chocks for when a person drops a trailer. Instead of trying to chock the wheels with a rock or pc of brick. Also maybe have some supplies for your hitch & so forth. The service tire monitor system came on while I was driving. It needed to be cleaned out before I used it. I forgot to take pictures because it was dirty. When I first rented it out the guy just handed me the keys we didn't go over the way the car looked before I got in it. When I returned the car after filling the gas tank back up I handed the keys back to the guy. He said I was good without looking at the vehicle. Im sure if not I hope that you know and take this seriously. This is a high crime location. Please check the crime stats or contact this locations police precinct for details. The staff there in a way reflects the locations personality. Perhaps the staff if stressed from that communities experiences. I feel future customers need to be made aware that this location does not reflect all U Haul outlets before considering this location for a family to rent from. I truly regret but feel its my responsibility to report this in writing to prevent and protect customers from any harm or otherwise insult to U-Haul customers from this location.Monty H.

Put the key drop box on the same side of the mall as the vehicle drop off location. It is a long walk and there is no sidewalk along the road behind the mall. Also UHaul would not accept a passport or drivers license as a form of ID. I was forced to use two references that were called by phone and was lucky that two were available that early in the morning.Robert M.
