Trying to use the app and coordinate picking up was a complete nightmare!
Jason FDo not insult customers by using the wrong terminology. Said Car trailer she thought enclosed trailer. Corrected me rudely. She had to deal with her store customers first! Aren’t we customers too!? We were interrupted four times and just had to wait. When walking out, the last customer said it’s always like that. That’s why he doesn’t come here to return or drop off uhauls. It’s horrible.She did not assist in taking off trailer or even check it. She even handed us her phone to put in our email address instead of typing in herself.

My opinion is that he was the most professional, most courteous, most polite, most helpful and very knowledgeable man that I could have spoken with that day. He was very understanding and knew what I was really needing probably more than I knew myself. Also, the store I picked the Car Dolly up from was also very helpful. Lastly, if I need to rent something again, my first call will be to H-HAUL. Thanks for being their when I need your assistance...
Tommy BUHaul service as a whole has significantly declined over the years. You put people through tremendous stress in taking a reservation but change it frequentlly. Your service is very unreliable!!!
Peggy BThis was my first time EVER using this service. I was called on my cellphone by the employee who helped me through the pickup. Stating that if I did NOT RETURN the truck immediately, the police were going to be called for a STOLEN UHAUL TRUCK. Had she actually looked at the order she would have seen that I extended the use of the truck for the next morning. She also called my mother who has health issues, and proceeded to tell her, that the truck is about to be reported to the police as stolen. That she better tell me to call her. My mother started panicking. Now, the morning of the 5th the truck was originally to be turned in but we still needed it a bit longer. I started calling the store at 8am to talk to someone. I called the store 4 times finally someone answered at 9:37am. I mentioned the extention, and she rudely interrupted me and said that's not her job that I have to figure it out on the app.which is EXACTLY what I did. I feel as though maybe the people at that specific location CANT HANDLE all that comes with the uhaul service there plus there's only one person that knows how to do it which isn't right because that person isn't there everyday. As far as using the UHAUL services I absolutely will, but NOT FROM THAT STORE! I was being accused of not extended the use because her phone said so. The words she spoke and the way she was talking to me as I was lying to her BOTHERED ME! once I told her I had screenshots of me updating the rental she then says we'll let me go out and back in to see if it's changed. And what do you know, she says oh here it is 6/6/23 @ 10am. Then proceeded to act like she didn't just threaten me with jail ALL BECAUSE SHE DIDNT GO LOOK AT THE ACTUAL INFORMATION.

William Tdistance for trailer was the only problem a Uhaul pickup was only 10 miles away but due to holiday had to drive 80 miles out of my way due to closured for holiday but the only one open was that far away

Wesley LI ordered a furniture cart,12 protective blankets, and a handtruck. None of those were included when I picked up the truck. The floors were covered in mud.

David LWe rented from Vestavia 35216, but the day prior were bumped to 48 minutes away in Odenville because Vestavia didn't have any trucks. Not happy about this but I understand the trucks were in big demand and none were available nearby.
James HMy experience with UHAUL in the past has been great, but that was not the case this time. It was far too much stress and needlessly expensive this time. Its too much to detail here, but please head my warning, it is not worth it! I feel that UHAUL has unfortunately strayed from being the reputable rental company we once knew them as, at least in our area, and I will not waste my time or money on this company in the future.
Madison TIt took an hour to get checked in. The 6x12 uhaul trailer we reserved was buried in waist deep grass so we had to get the 5x8 instead. The lady that was helping us barely knew how to check us in so she couldn’t adjust the size of our uhaul. She also wasn’t able to change us to a one way. We were driving from Alabama to Mississippi (7 hours round trip) We’ve called at least 4 times to get a refund on at least the price different of the two uhauls with no success. It clearly states on the website that if your reserved equipment isn’t available at pickup that we would receive a $50 credit. That never happened. We also had to make a second 7 hour round trip because we had to use the smaller trailer and all of our belongings wouldn’t fit. There was no refund. Customer service is terrible with hour long wait times. I will never use uhaul again.

Richard Ccollect more info while reserving the rental online instead of having to do it at the site. Most of these locations are stores that do other business and all the info needs to be collected before you go to the pickup location.
James PThe person at the pickup location was professional. She was very helpful when I picked up the trailer and when I returned the trailer. The trailer appeared to be pretty old with some years of service, but everything was in good working order. No complaints.
Mike SI was charged for 115 miles that where already on the the truck and charge for cleaning fee because the truck was gross apon pick up. I was told to go ahead and take it that the rep would take care of it and make sure I wasn’t charged. This is the only thing u-haul has reach out for was a review. I have my paper work ready when y’all would like to chat.

JoAnn MIt took over 45 minutes for my initial pick up. The cashier was unhelpful and kept asking me to move to the side so she could help other customers. She blew through all the instructions and just told us to hook it up and take pictures. She was unhelpful through out the entire process. When we returned the trailer the cashier told us we would have to wait because it was almost shift change and then continued to help other customers while we stood to the side again. It took almost 40 minutes to complete the drop off.
Ryan HMy usual broke down several times. And it was best to pieces. It had to be towed away! But road side assistance was amazing to deal with.
Thea CThe parking lot has great big holes really rough. I had two helpers with me we parked where the U-Haul trucks was parked we left was 30 miles from pickup point when I received a phone call that if I didn't come move our vehicles that they were going to be towed. I was informed in a very rude way I'm assuming by the owner that U-Haul did not own that property that they leased it and then he wanted to charge me for parking. I will never Grace the doors again. I'm sure U-Haul doesn't want their customers being treated like this.
JEFFERY Rour truck was down sized from 26' to 20' without us ever being told, so we did not know until moment of pickup. This was a terrible inconvenience and when we called customer service for help we were sent back and forth between many people and it took at least 30-45min if not more to actually get any help.
Brad HCustomer service at this location is terrible. Staff refused to walk out to truck and made me walk back out and take pictures of mileage, fuel level, and cleanliness on my personal phone to show to them so they didn’t have to walk outside. They also made me bring in the dolly that was in the truck when I picked it up. They also made me take it to the back of the store in an employee only area to place it with the other dollys. Both employees of the store were also very rude and confrontational when I made a comment about doing their job. I will never use this location again and furthermore will never purchase anything from this store.

JW BEven after checking in online, payment loaded, license loaded, it took more than :30 minutes to get equipment. I had to provide license again, additional contact too. I had just rented a couple weeks previously and had none of this. I know the rep was just following prompts, but need to require a computer and not just a phone for check-ins.

BROOKLYN TMy reservation had gotten sent to the wrong location, but the local U-Haul rep got it straightened out with only a relatively short delay and I was on my way.
Alan TI had initially requested on-line rental of a 5x8 cargo trailer. I was contacted by Uhaul several days before my scheduled pick-up. Told the 5x8 would not be available at my desired time & pick-up location. Uhaul requested I change my reservation to a 6x12 trailer at same rental rate as 5x8. I did this. However, when arrived at pick-up location, a 5x8 trailer, which I initially requested, was available. However, when attempted to edit reservation on-line back to a 5x8 the Uhaul app made it impossible. App was trying to direct me to make a new reservation for the 5x8 then leaving me with 2 reservations for that day of both a 5x8 and 6x12 trailer rental!! Tried Uhaul by phone to change back to my initial reservation and told 40 minute wait to speak to anyone. Did receive call back from Uhaul. However, the attendant at pick location was the one who's finally able to help me out so I didn't have to waste any more time trying to contact Uhaul. EXTREMELY frustrating as a customer, especially as it was Uhaul who directed me to make change initially.

Kyle LWe used the moving app that haul recommends. Not good. Called two days in advance and no one showed. Had to reschedule and it cost us an extra day in rental. Not good and do not recommend
JERRY HThe employees here were not trained at all on how to process a uhaul reservation and I was at this location for and hour and a half. Wasn't shown which vehicle was mine and had to guess which one was mine. Didnt have any of the pads that I had put on my reservation and had to go back inside to get the dolly I put in my reservation. The lady whole help me was quite rude to the untrained employee.

KATHERINE SGet a Uhaul office out there. Quit making small businesses do your work for you. Those gas station employees don’t even get extra compensation for uhaul rentals. The iPad system sucks and it’s slow.

Anna TI asked for and selected the 15 foot truck. I only had to go 10miles with a couch and bed. There was a 15 foot truck there but my phone wouldn’t load so the store owner went in the account I created for me and changed my order to the 26 foot truck without my knowledge which costed me $40 more. I didn’t realize it at the time till the store clerk gave me the keys and it didn’t work for the smaller truck. Went back in and said I payed for the small one the clerk said ‘these are the keys my boss said to give you’ so I figured maybe something was wrong with the smaller one but it’d be the same price. After we loaded my furniture I got an email stating I was being charged $73.11 they would fix it when I went back the small truck was rented out to someone else. They could’ve let me know from the start and I wouldn’t have gotten it bc I didn’t have that much to spend. Will never go back and will let everyone know how shitty this place is.

CLIFFORD WWhile this location was a huge step up from where I got the UHAUL in the first place, it was still not a clean or inviting setting. The staff was helpful but not friendly. You could tell my presence was an inconvenience to their day.

Antonio MI traveled less than 80 miles and paid $137.70 in addition a $41.40 fee for returning a truck an hour late after being told I could drop off at the location. The fees were above unusual and customer service after many calls told me I would get a refund for the extra day charge. I’ve used U haul many times as being a travel nurse and it’s bad business to lose a customer over $41.40. You can improve for the next customer by being upfront about specific drop off locations and fees
