Even after checking in online, payment loaded, license loaded, it took more than :30 minutes to get equipment. I had to provide license again, additional contact too. I had just rented a couple weeks previously and had none of this. I know the rep was just following prompts, but need to require a computer and not just a phone for check-ins.john A.

I had initially requested on-line rental of a 5x8 cargo trailer. I was contacted by Uhaul several days before my scheduled pick-up. Told the 5x8 would not be available at my desired time & pick-up location. Uhaul requested I change my reservation to a 6x12 trailer at same rental rate as 5x8. I did this. However, when arrived at pick-up location, a 5x8 trailer, which I initially requested, was available. However, when attempted to edit reservation on-line back to a 5x8 the Uhaul app made it impossible. App was trying to direct me to make a new reservation for the 5x8 then leaving me with 2 reservations for that day of both a 5x8 and 6x12 trailer rental!! Tried Uhaul by phone to change back to my initial reservation and told 40 minute wait to speak to anyone. Did receive call back from Uhaul. However, the attendant at pick location was the one who's finally able to help me out so I didn't have to waste any more time trying to contact Uhaul. EXTREMELY frustrating as a customer, especially as it was Uhaul who directed me to make change initially.Jonathan G.

The employees here were not trained at all on how to process a uhaul reservation and I was at this location for and hour and a half. Wasn't shown which vehicle was mine and had to guess which one was mine. Didnt have any of the pads that I had put on my reservation and had to go back inside to get the dolly I put in my reservation. The lady whole help me was quite rude to the untrained employee.April C.

Get a Uhaul office out there. Quit making small businesses do your work for you. Those gas station employees don't even get extra compensation for uhaul rentals. The iPad system sucks and it's slow.Michael F.

I asked for and selected the 15 foot truck. I only had to go 10miles with a couch and bed. There was a 15 foot truck there but my phone wouldn't load so the store owner went in the account I created for me and changed my order to the 26 foot truck without my knowledge which costed me $40 more. I didn't realize it at the time till the store clerk gave me the keys and it didn't work for the smaller truck. Went back in and said I payed for the small one the clerk said â€˜these are the keys my boss said to give you' so I figured maybe something was wrong with the smaller one but it'd be the same price. After we loaded my furniture I got an email stating I was being charged $73.11 they would fix it when I went back the small truck was rented out to someone else. They could've let me know from the start and I wouldn't have gotten it bc I didn't have that much to spend. Will never go back and will let everyone know how shitty this place is.Megan C.

While this location was a huge step up from where I got the UHAUL in the first place, it was still not a clean or inviting setting. The staff was helpful but not friendly. You could tell my presence was an inconvenience to their day.Molly A.
I traveled less than 80 miles and paid $137.70 in addition a $41.40 fee for returning a truck an hour late after being told I could drop off at the location. The fees were above unusual and customer service after many calls told me I would get a refund for the extra day charge. I've used U haul many times as being a travel nurse and it's bad business to lose a customer over $41.40. You can improve for the next customer by being upfront about specific drop off locations and feesMEOSHI C.

Got there to pick up truck and the lady working did not know how to do th U Haul paper work so I had to wait a hour to get my truck. Same way when I brought it back. Not happy with the serviceRobert W.
The U-Haul that's hooked to the store at Odenville discount .the cashier don't know nothing about what to do when a person comes to pick it up,a U haul. she has to call her boss they need to be more up-to-date know what they're doing and be able to help the customer which without making a bunch of phone calls to find out the information for you. But overall they did go out of their way to help me and the boss on the phone did help a lot.Deborah D.
The only issue I had was with the reservation, I called several days in advance and was told the cost for my rental would be $103.00, when I picked up the trailer I was charged $154.00. Did not have time to dispute before leaving.Dennis L.

Train the employees! Also fix your online systems. It took over an hour due to having to wait for the employee to load the Beer cooler and take out the trash. The location was also a 1.5 hour round trip from my homeJoe B.
As a drop off and pick up location, the gas station attendant prioritizes every customer above the uhaul customer. It doesn't matter how long you have to wait, you must hold behind any other person that comes in the door. This can make for a long wait time, as each new person that comes in the door is a priority above you.Jon J.
I felt like I was bothering the employees by doing business with them. They were rude and very UNhelpful. I am having second thoughts of even using uhaul ever again if this is how I will be treated by trying to use your product. I even heard one employee say they wanted to find another job so they didn't ever have to work with uhaul again. This was about as sorry of service I have ever seen. I was told if I didn't park the truck in the proper location I would be charged $50 extra for parking in the wrong place. Of course no one came out and showed me where to park. I parked the truck in the spot I picked it up from so I better not be charged extra. I would rate the product and service lower but you did not offer a way to pick zero.Mary T.

Got two bags of furniture protectors one was open and I did not pull them out and count the way he counted it looked like it had six but only three was in it. You sent us out to the most inconvenient location after not telling us our reservation got moved. You guys are ridiculous. You overwhelmed a poor attendant to the point it took us an hour and a half to get our truck. There were people before us and I could hear your rep being a total jerk on the phone.Ryan K.
It took over an hour and a half to get the rental agreement complete. The system was suposively down. The lady at the location was helpful and nice but UHauls system is horrible. She tried calling the uhaul rep for the store and he wouldn't answer or call back. Absolutely ridiculous it took so long and then by the time I got to my house, my help had left. Very friendly people @ this location. I would not recommend Uhaul mainly because of the extremely poor service in Dothan & the vehicles are gas guzzlers. In my opinion, Uhaul needs to update / upgrade to much more efficient diesel powered equipment.robin S.

Rep was more worried about helping other guest than dealing with rentals. Had customers returning vehicles parking and chalking their own trailers. Had other guest skipping customers returning uhaul equipment and setting uhaul services to the side.Robert M.
Refused to give us U-Haul because the worker was tired. She said to go away and come back In 15m because She needed a break. Then we came back and she let 20+ customers in front of us so they could buy cigarettes. She said that she had been working 11h and couldn't handle U-Haul because she already did 5 that day. Also said the other customers were more important to jump in front of us because the store sales are first priority. We waited over an hour and a half and had people keep getting in front of us. The truck was nasty had dirt inside and also left over pizza boxes. Gross!! Don't know if we will go with U-Haul in the future; this is probably the 5th time we've rented a truck and worst experience.Finally another worker came to the store and neither of the two knew how to work the U-Haul website so I had to assist with their iPad (which was dead and had to be put on charge as well as they had the iPad upside down.) totally incompetent.Killian C.

Gas gauge would not work while I was adding fuel. Swicthed the ignition on and off several times while pumping but needle didn't move. When I finally got a reading, I discovered that I had pumped $40 more than I was required to. When I tried to return the truck, the uhaul system could not find my name or order number. The attendant was very nice and helpful, calling U-Haul and her rep. The rep took care of it for me later that night, but the U-Haul system was less than adequate in my experience.Amber B.

Service at the store was excellent! There was an issue with Uhaul changing my locations for pick up multiple times but the lady at Odenville Discount Store really was helpful and solved everything for me!Ashley A.
The pick up process worked well from my phone, with the exception of actually getting the key from the agent. This location is also a very busy convenience store. The rental agent was also the only cashier for the store. She tried to process in between checking out customers. She had technology issues with her tablet. It took me over 30 minutes just to get the key. The cashier was very frustrated and was doing the best she could in the situation. The same thing happened at drop off.. Everything worked fine from my phone and I was complete with my task in just a few minutes. However the agent was the only cashier in the busy store and had to wait until the store was empty so that she could exit and verify the truck was in order. It took me over half an hour just to drop off. She also had technology issues and was very frustrated. I wouldn't want to go through this process again with this location.Kerry H.

Truck was fantastic. Low mileage and well-maintained. The location was completely inept in every respect. It was a convenient store with one employee who was trying to simultaneously check out a continuous flow of people buying beer and cigarettes while doing the paperwork to get me the truck and then later to turn the truck back in. What should've been a quick process on both sides because I had pre-registered online ended up taking an hour combined. The people were poorly trained as well. A really terrible experience other than the quality of the truck, which was very good.Sid M.
