The truck was not inspected before rental. I was told truck had 1/2 tank of gas. It was empty. I made it to my location (5min) way, loaded the van and attempted to drive to the new location. The truck ran out of gas and left me and my two young sons stranded on a colorado road at 10:00 at night in JANUARY!!!!! We walked 3 miles to get gas for it. The owner informed me he has a problem with homeless people stealing the gas. The owner paid me for the gas that was stolen and that was it. Not my time, the gas can, the additional gas for the gas can. The 1-800 customers service number was even less helpful. What if it was snowing? What if we would have died walking to town? Paying for the gas that was stolen? Terrible customer service. Nest stop social media unless you do a better jump of resolving this.

I picked up the car at 9 a.m. on Friday and returned it at 11:30 a.m the same day. but it just show I returned back at 8 a.m. next monday(three days later). The extra more 200 miles cost $150. It was a very unpleasant rental experience,The refund has not been received yet.

My car came unstrapped 200 miles after it was hooked up. The lady at the store in Edgemont, SD didn't even bother to get up to look at the problem. Also, the left front tire worried me the entire trip. I worked as a mechanic while getting a mechanical engineering degree, so my fears worn't exactly unfounded .

It was dark and after hours for the return, but the locations seemed clean and inviting enough in the dark--and there was space to park the trailer.

We got charged $20 fee even though we returned it early, simply because their website wasn't working properly and therefore we couldn't do the online return system they require. That was really disappointing.

I had reserved 2 dollies in my order about 3 weeks prior to the reservation. The additional equipment(2 different dollies) I ordered were not placed in the truck and no one was there to provide the equipment. I had to spend 45 minutes on the phone with customer service and had to drive to a separate location to get them. This reduced my time for moving significantly, and I was charged for the mileage on the truck.

I moved last month and I spent a couple of hundred dollars at U Haul, at both the Nick’s Auto location and the north Boulder location on North Broadway. I purchased two packages of your TV protectors which I did not use. I think they were over $10.00 each. I brought the unopened packages back to the North Broadway location which is where I purchased them.. I asked for a refund but was refused since I didn’t have a receipt. I will never use U Haul again.

Nick's is great. I've worked with them a few times and will continue to do so. I had a horrible experience with the U-Haul customer support person when I called in. They were high-handed and bossy. I felt like dealing with someone who did not care about my experience. I requested the transcript of the call, which I have not received. As far as I am concerned, this situation is not over. I will follow up.

I originally rented the Uhaul for Sunday, the 14th. The location said that they were closed Sunday and I would need to pick up the truck Saturday. They said I would NOT be charged for the additional day. However, I decided to just move Saturday and returned the truck Saturday afternoon (8:30-4:30 rental). I spoke w/customer service on saturday who confirmed that I would only be charged one day. I was also supposed to get a dolly with my rental, but one was NOT included. I got my receipt today and it still charged me for TWO days, even though I only used the truck for ONE day. The dolly charge was also there as well. I have sent 2 emails and called customer service 4 times and the issue still is not resolved. The lady I spoke with the last time was very nice, but so far I have only received email confirmations for two refunds - the extra $14 for the insurance that I was charged for the second day and the $19.99 truck rental for the extra day. I am still needing a refund for the $14 for the two days of dollys AND a refund for all the tax for these things. Worst rental experience I've ever had. I will definitely not be using Uhaul ever again! Very frustrating.

This experience was a fall back on the part of U-Haul. My initial pick up location was “Y Mart” in Northglenn CO. A really dirty location. My truck was not there and no one could find the person who was supposed to return the truck. This cost me 3 hours in getting started with the move and $70 because the loading crew that I booked through U-Haul came at the appointed time but there was no truck. It is amazing to me that a company the size of U-Haul would accept this level of service. It is my opinion that the truck was always available at Nicks but no one bothered to look thus causing the delay. In addition, communication with U-Haul was extremely difficult my average hold time trying to contact U-Haul was over 30 minutes each of the 4 times I tried to contact someone. I am demanding that I be reimbursed for the $70 extra that I had to pay the loading crew this was not my fault it was totally on U-Haul.

Everything went smooth with the rental place, and the people. My only issue is I needed a Uhaul with Colorado plates, and they said all have AZ plates. Maybe having a few with the license plates of the state they are in will be helpful to someone like myself. I wont be using them again for this reason.
