I liked the drop off (it's literally a field across the street, made parking very easy) but there was no direction for where to put the key (it said put it in drop box but not that the drop box was across the street), and most importantly the sign said go to my uhaul.com, which doesn't exist. When the website wasn't working I crossed the street to see if there were instructions on the building, where I found the key box and another sign that said uhaul.com. I wasn't thinking (baby brain!) and put the keys in the drop box, only to remember I needed them to take pictures of the inside of the truck!!!SEAN LEIGH M.

How about stop limiting people to small hr windows and charging for full days. If I need a truck for 24 hrs I should be able to rent it for that if there is availability not for 2-6 hrs because the local direct has decided to limit rentals, and on bigger trucks not allow for multiple day rentals. At the cost of the truck per day I'm not renting a truck to sit it in front of my home I'm renting it to move a 2900 sq ft home and as a paying customer should be able to rent it as your policy states 29.95 per day rather than only 29.95 for 2-6 hrsJASON S.

The drop-off location assigned to me is totally unreasonable. It is more than 30 miles away from my destination (in Tacoma), while a location within 6 miles (in Seattle) is available. As a result, I had to pay $9 for dropping it off at the "wrong location".ANDI W.

I unfortunately used the online pickup. Never again. I give it a zero. I had good mobile service but the uhaul server stopped responding 10 times. It took help from one of your people on the phone 20 minutes to get it done after I had tried for 15 minutes. I'll call another rental first next time which is next weekend.Patrick R.

This was my first time using a Uhaul and it will be my last. $260 to borrow a truck for 2 days that I had to put the gas in just to be able to drive it to my 1st location to load it. To be charged per day and per mile and have to put gas in it makes no sense, the gas should be included. There are too many charges and it seems like a total ripoff scam.TRACY H.

The uhaul app isn't great. I had trouble with it when I picked the truck up, but fortunately the office was open (staff were all very helpful and friendly). When I dropped the truck off that night, the office was closed, and it took me over an hour because the app was terrible (wouldn't load the photos, said my mileage was less than what I started, couldn't find my location, and on and on). I expected a better app from such a large company.JOANNE S.
Second rental in two weeks and both were excellent experiences. First was a GMC Silverado pickup truck and it was perfect for the work done. This has *nothing* to do with the location, but the website, which is how I made my reservation; I had rented the cargo van for 8 hours, but the reservation defaulted back to 4 hours when I finalized it, which was a HUGE problem since the location reportedly had rented it after that 4-hour mark, and we were only half way done with the van with no way to get it back by 1pm. Someone should test this issue and, if duplicated, FIX THE WEBSITE. Maybe cargo vans are only allowed to be rented for 4 hours, but then why was I given the option to rent it for longer, nor did I see that stated anywhere on the website (and rightly so, ya'll are U-Haul, vehicles should be able to be rented for as long as needed for as many miles as needed). When I was doing the checkout of the vehicle, prior to claiming possession, it asked how many miles I was planning on driving. When i entered it, it came back with an error saying cargo vans were only allowed to be driven 100 miles TOTAL. I was STUNNED and now stressed because we HAD to pick up an order at IKEA in Portland OR between 10 & 1 THAT DAY. It was too late to cancel my or update my reservation, and I saw NOTHING about that on the website when I entered my planned destination, which was CLEARLY over 100 miles, ONE WAY. Also, before renting the cargo van from this location on the website, I had called the Fort Knox location in Portland OR, and an employee/manager told me that cargo vans "had to be returned to the same location rented". This surprised me, which is why we decided to do an 8-hour rental from a nearby location Lacey. I was stunned/pissed when I noticed ON THE VAN ITSELF, on the windshield as well as the side of the van, it says "In Town . . .One Way". - - WHY WAS I TOLD BY THE FORT KNOX LOCATION THAT CARGO VANS HAD TO BE RETURNED TO THE SAME LOCATION AS THEY ARE PICKED UP FROM??? So, to address the last question, "Would you recommend this location to a friend?"; If I am ever in a position needing to recommend U-Haul, I WOULD NOT. But, if I were to be asked "Which U-Haul location is the BEST?", that would EASILY be Lacey Express Storage LLC, located at 5200 Lacey Blvd SE in Lacey, WA. Ryan was amazing and INCREDIBLY understanding and patient.Sharrie Y.

Access from parking to the exit on to Lacey Boulevard (one-way street) is difficult. I had to back up, cross a road in the storage parking area, back up, then pull forward to make a left on to Lacey Boulevard (one-way street). Another exit route on to Franz would be safer and easier to maneuver. If there is a route like that in the facility it is not marked.Joseph M.

Check in using the app took 1 hour. On hold with customer service 20 minutes. App would not work, customer service was confused. My phone is an android and couldn't not get past taking photo of ID. Eventually used an iphone, had to make setting changes in the phone to get it to work. Got the truck with 3/4 tank of gas, returned with over 1/2 but was charged over $40 for gas.Doug H.

I was the primary person using this storage. Day one. Closed at 3:11. I had to put the truck loaded in a semi-secure place. That also caused me to hire a crew the next day to unload. I was told by Uhaul that I qualified for 1 month free. We were told the next day upon arrival again, they do not honor that. I was in a pinch and had no other choice. I only used the storage until we found an apartment. I am dissatisfied that the cost to hire a new crew, gas back to Lacey and another day of exhaustion and inconvenience wasn't considered when I discussed this with Larry. He was kind, but said Ryan said we would only get the deposit back. That location is not a place I will refer to. I believe the funds should be credited back. From day one I was misinformed and closed. I should not have to chase any manager down. They know I'm not satisfied. If I were the Manager, I would call the customer right away.
