Terrible location. Immature staff, charged me for a dolly that he didn't have in the truck, charged my account before bringing the truck, had to wait 30 wasted minutes for the kid to get off the phone before honoring my reservation. Not to mention when I attempted to return the uhaul as per my reservation. The uhaul staff told me he's closed. Keep in mind this was at the location. This shouldn't be an affiliate because it makes your company seem unprofessional. Simply a disappointing service that I will not use again.Collyer G.
I brought back the vehicle at 7pm but the rep didn't take it back because "He didn't have space". I had to take it back the following day after spending close to two hours trying to find parking for it. I had to pay 10 dollars extra for gas and probably more for mileage. They look at you, make their own personal judgement and treat you as if you are somehow alien, not of the norm, disgusting evenâ€¦that's if your not sounding looking dressing socializing among them â€¦after I commented a systematic thorough assessment on how they actively participate in the discrimination disregard rude behavior and overall dismissive treatment of those persons unaffiliated to the Spanish culture.. who doesn't speak look sound know or be of the community especially if you don't dress like them or look like a working person. Age race and sex all were documented in several ongoing assessments using various tactics to deter the blatant behavior seen so many times. The Managing agent demonstrated professional, courteous, and expeditious service to accommodate a same-day request. The location was ideal and the equipment was clean and well-maintained. If there was less of a star, I would've rated it. I arrived at the location to find myself with someone with their feet up, looking at the phone and not being able to help me. I was told they were no trucks. I went on the website there were plenty of trucks â€¦he was just too lazy to get up and provide me with the service. When I made my reservation online and went back to the establishment, he was quite surprised, and the attitude that followed was very uncomfortable. But I really needed the truck. First of all I rented a truck by 2:00 pm on 05/04/2023 when I arrive to pick up the truck they give my rental to another customer making me loose time and waited for another truck to be available which I received by 2:30pm so whats the point of renting ahead of time and with a time table for pick up.Fabian C.

Walked into the establishment which is also a restaurant. I told the lady I reserved a uhaul. No one was there to accommodate. The restaurant lady called the uhaul. A young man walked by us 2x the lady told him 2x that we were there for the uhaul. First ignored her then second time put his finger up. We picked up the uhaul around 2 pm but needed to be back by 5 due to the fact they don't have a drop box EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE A RESTAURANT OPEN LATE...STILL NO DROP BOX. We did miss the 5pm time by 15 mins again restaurant open but even though uhaul not open should provide a drop box. I have moved several times from state to state across country near far and I have never came across a truck rental nor car rental without a drop box. Since I got there at 515 I parked the truck where we picked up (we had to walk to get the truck no accommodation of getting for us when we picked up) I looked up the establishment for open time which states 930. I received a call at 8am asking for the keys. I told them I would be their in 30 mins thought the office didn't open til 930. Very rude and nasty. I get to the truck the older man came to me like why you blocked me I said I don't know your number to block so he proceeds to call me infront of me my phone rings he then tells me oh you unblocked me before you got here. I said sir no need to do that. He snatched the keys from me then walked away. I then get a call a half hour later from the younger dude asking me where is the key. I told him I gave it to the older dude a half hour ago then he hung up on me no thanks for the business nothing. Very unprofessional won't recommend and definitely won't be going back. It's sad cause it's near my home Very convenient but I won't give my money to unprofessional. They also had the nerve to charge an additional $24. As we are great customers from near and far and also great tippers when the service is good. But they get an F!Stephanie M.

Worst experience ever. Picked up the U-Haul in a diner after our location getting moved over an hour. Had to wait 30 minutes for the owner to show up. The back of the truck smelled of gasoline and owner said there was nothing they could do about it. Called corporate and they very unapologetically said there were no trucks available to swap, which wasn't true because we went to the Chelsea location and there were many trucks of the same size. We will never use Uhaul again and will be leaving this review elsewhereWilliam P.

The owner of this location was not readily available for pick up and drop off. Even though I opted for "self check out" that was not possible because the location of the uhaul trucks was not at the listed location so I could not help myself. There's nothing that can be done. But however, moving forward, U-Haul should explain company procedure to the customer before any payment is accepted by them. Gas in the truck was not enough initially when a Truck was purchased for rent and U-Haul expected me to return way more gas than was initially presented with. Also, when returning a truck, it would be wise for U-Haul to have their representatives prepared for and deposit return, reimbursement, or any inspection in a professional and kind manner. My pregnant girlfriend was faced with so many disrespectful, irresponsible, rude associates from 230 west 230 st, Bronx and Estrella Restaurant on Webster ave in the Bronx. I wish there was a better experience and I do forgive but it was very difficult. Estrella was not prepared with the $100. We called 230 street before arriving and assured them we were coming before 5 yet they still closed the register and were unable to accommodate us. We would not have wasted time or gas going there if they would have told us that was the case. The only helpful person was from a location on Burke.HENRYSAAH C.

I made a reservation for 10am pickup. When I got there, the woman behind the counter in the restaurant first had to call the gentleman who dealt with the rentals. It took him about 20 minutes to get there. Once he was there, he asked if I made a reservation. I told him yes, for 10am. It took him a bit to locate and figure out how to complete the reservation. By the time I was able to drive away, it was 10:45am. Forgetting the fact that I was on a tight schedule, I got a text message saying that I was to return the truck by 1pm. The system should have accounted for the 45 minutes it took to get the truck. I would NOT recommend this location to anyone! Going forward, I will only go to an authorized Uhaul store.David G.
