This rental was the most disorganized, miscommunicated effort I have ever experienced from UHAul. Out of the 5 people i spoken with all of them communicated different information and made the whole process extremely frustrating during an already frustrating time. I got a message less than 24 hrs on my reservation stating that I would have a bigger unit and on a location farther where I reserved, spent more of an hour To get customer support where I was offer to match my origina rate but still I got affected with more miles on my move, given the short notice I couldn't do anything else but to pay extra. The pickup day I was told that they didn't have a dolly. This experience was terrible, why do you have reservation process if you are not going to fulfill what you agree on your reservation processes? I can't blame the lady that gave me the unit at the location, because is not her fault, your reservation process can be improved.Carlos B.

Location was challenging to park according to the requirements, there literally was only one option to back this size truck into spot, based on where other equipment was parked. That caused me to have to place the truck in a location that somewhat obstructs the property's entrance. No choice.Todd H.

When I showed up to get my truck the app wasn't working. So I had to go inside, the attendant wasn't friendly, at all. When I got the truck it appeared to have about 1/4 of a tank of fuel. I returned it with the same amount. I only went 13 miles. I was charged for â€œsavemoveâ€ and I was charged a ridiculous amount for them fueling the truck. This U-Haul location is the worst I have ever seen. One week prior I reserved a truck and when I showed up to get it, they didn't have any trucks to give me.William S.

I think that the people you have working there can make a difference In the morning whey I picked up the truck the lady the help me was very helpful. The truck was completely empty of gas and it broke down on us twice on the interstate which could have been deadly. It literally just stopped and all of the lights came on. When we returned it and told the guy, he acted like it was no big deal. Hopefully it gets serviced before the next rental!!Tina T.

Store owner was rude & truck was nasty and shaking. I was overcharged twice and store clerk brushed me off and told me there was nothing he could do but give me uhaul's phone numberMechella H.
Store employee when I returned the U Haul truck was very rude. He first sent me out to take a pic of the mileage and gas hand, when I returned with that he wanted me to go and get the dolly and blankets and bring in to him. He got upset when I refused to do his job. Instead of the truck being ready when I got there with the dolly and blankets that I rented I had to load that up as well. Poor Customer Service over all. Employees are LAZY and RUDE.Emily H.
I don't know what I need to say, this is the gas station rental U-haul truck. The service was ok they ask you to fill up the tank I was think you are charging on the mile why I need to fill up. But I did it anyway. Maybe next you want to read the location review first then pick where you want to rent the equipment.david L.
This was not my original pick up loacation. Truck was reserved to be picked up at Skidaway drive. I arrived at 11 am for my reservation at 10:30. I called location to let them know I would be late. I arrived for a mobile pick up and website would not work to release the key. I sat in the parking lot for 3 hrs trying to go through the mobile process to get key. Called customer service and was bounced around for approx an hour. I finally got my license uploaded only to hear that it had to be reviewed by their office because the office was not open for pick up. Eventually they dispatched me to another location which was 20 mins out from the original location. I got there and still could not get the truck. By this time is after 4. I had reserved movers which I had been trying to call and confirm since 8am that morning. With no word from the movers I had to get the truck and find more movers to help me. I was not able to start moving that day because it was after 5 by the time I got a representative to assist me with Dwloach location releasing the truck. The truck was dirty, no gas in truck even though I picked it up at a gas station. On the day I was scheduled to turn in the truck the reservation showed that I was supposed to turn the truck in at a location in Savannah even though I had reserved a one way move from Savannah to Columbia sc. then they charged me for gas and another day because the reservation showed a pick up time of 10:30 am even though I didn't get the truck until after 4:30 pm. My move was a disaster. I have been a uhaul customer for years as a federal employee but I will not use them again. On my move to Savannah I paid for a storage and arrived at the uhaul location and they had no storage units available. I was in a frenzy because I was moving out of state from Miami and had no where to store my belongings for 30 day until I found a place in my new location of Columbia sc.Jackquelyn H.

It took this location 2 days to check the truck in and I was charged for 2 days that the truck was sitting in their parking lot. When you call the location no one ever answers the phone!! This has been an horrible experience!!Jalesha H.

My truck was not ready when I arrived to pick it up. The gentlemen working the location was by himself trying to run a convenience store and also figure out why U haul scheduled my pick up at his location. I was not given attention to quickly expedite my reservation and instead the gentleman would stop every few minutes to ring up his other customers purchasing lotto tickets and goods from the store. The gentlemen returned and finally told me he did not have a truck available because one of the two on the lot was broken and he did not have the mileage and fuel level off the other one. He then told me it would be at least 15 minutes before he would be able to get a picture of that information off the truck. At that time I offered to take a picture for him and he handed me the key. I took the picture and then returned to him only for him to be concerned that the mileage on the truck was very high compared to what was in the system. After another 15 minutes or so the reservation was finally completed and I was on my way. I returned with the truck later that evening and would also say that the parking for the trucks is extremely dark.Kyle M.

Uhaul cancelled my reservation, reserved three people for the same truck. The next day I rented from another location, was told there was more gas in the truck than actual, showed pictures of fuel and mileage put four gallons of gas for 18 miles traveled , I put more gas than was needed and showed the uhaul person with pictures, u haul charged me $35.00 for a fuel charge Second rate business Get you act together Never will I do business with your company againStephen S.

I had a vehicle reserved, was informed that they didn't have keys, was asked about getting another they told me to call u haul that they couldn't help me. When I called Uhaul the representative asked to speak to the Uhaul agent at the location, both employees initially refused to talk to the rep. The local agents were all unprofessional . in my opinion they allowed a friend to use my reserved vehicle and the friend still had the keys. I WAS CHARGED TWICE AND THEY TOLD ME TO CONTACT U-HAUL WHEN IT WAS THE SITE MISTAKE. My overall experience was awful when it pertains to the Uhaul rental. I traveled from Atlanta Georgia to pick up a 15 foot truck and the vehicle wasn't there. The owner rented the vehicle to another customer. I had to contact Uhaul and was given another location to pick up a larger truck. We waited for over an hour and no one showed up so that we could get the vehicle. I contacted Uhaul again and they found the Delostch Parkway location. I was on a time crunch because I had to pick up Furniture in Garden City, Georgia. I was trying to get back to Atlanta in a timely manner so that our friends could help us download the furniture in our home. The delay was a big consequence for us and I will be hesitant to use Uhaul anytime soon.Anthony W.

The check engine light was on as soon as we pulled out of the lot...but went out after we gassed up. Equipment was dirty. There was a safety Hazzard in the truck in terms of a big hole in the floor. Inner cab dirty with ashes and other products. I requested a truck near my house and I was put off to another town which cost me about $50 more in gas and mileage. No.one called me and told me my truck wouldn't be able to picked up at the location I requested. Then when I tried to get in touch with customer service I went 40 min without anyone answering while on hold. There's a good chance I would be purchasing from a different company in the futureSam S.

The truck was DIRTY inside & the windshield was filthy inside & outside. The tank was on EMPTY. The people responsible for handling the equipment told me " They don't make any money renting the U-Haul trucks. They hung up on me when I was trying to get information from them. Read the other reviews on this place & most were bad & they had the same complaints. Had to stop several times while they took care of people getting gas or drinks at this gas station. I was over charged . I put $ 30.00 in the has tank and they still charged me $21.00 for gas. I have pictures where my gas needle was at the same point. I would recommend the place if you only needed a truck. I also ordered furniture blankets, two furniture dollys and and service dolly. They only had the furniture dollys. Also, the truck was in poor condition. The service panel in the floor was broken off so there was a hole in the floor. We tried putting it back but some of the people that helped us move stepped on it when walking backwards and fell through despite our warnings anout the danger. It's a liability I'm sure you don't want. Thankfully no one was hurt. Also the tow/ haul button was broken and I couldn't turn it off. Waste of gas.Matt M.

The employee or manager whom ever rented me the truck at Highland Hills in Pooler Ga. never came out to inspect the vehicle with me and document how filthy the inside of the truck was. Potato chips and other dirt was on the floor of the cab. The window was so dirty I could not see out of it with the many dead bugs that was on the windshield. I had to stop to clean it. There were scratches on the window as well. I took photos myself for my record but since I was late, I left. When I arrived in Jefferson Ga, I turned the vehicle in and spoke with the employee there and explained my situation. He informed me that it was the renting place responsible to inspect the truck prior to me leaving. He did say that I should have showed him the mess before I left as well. I called the other store to voice my concerns just to be talked over and disrespected. The receiving store was gracious enough not to charge me extra to clean the truck. I will not be returning to Highland Hills Gas station to rent a UHaul again! If you do, show them the mess before you leave no matter how much in a hurry you are!
