The area was a bit confusing to find as it's only accesible through a back alley but in the end I found it and all was good. The truck while dingged up a bit was acceptable..got the job done. The agent was good about advising me to take pictures and videos of the trucks condition so as to have proof of the pre-existing damage, which I didn't mind but definately didn't want to be held accountable for it upon return. Staff at Guardian storage we kind and efficient.

Very steep parking lot , van started drifting while reversing (it was also raining that day). Also, it was hard to leave the parking lot, because, when the other car is parked the space is very limited. Otherwise, location is okay and stuff is friendly.

The only criticism I have is that I had requested a pickup truck and ended up with a van. The van was too high to enter my underground garage so had to carry the cargo from the street curb rather than park right next to the elevator.

The u-haul page for direct rental and return kept crashing so it took a long time to go through this process. If there is an option to check out/return with staff assistance that would be helpful.

The receptionist (Miriam b) was not being helpful or friendly at all. The moment I got there she said she couldn’t rent the van, because my drivers license is international. I told her that I’ve rented million times with the same drivers license and never had a problem. In fact I just went to her location, because I needed a smaller car and the uhaul place I go on Davie St, didn’t had one and so I called from there because the gentleman on davie advised me to try somewhere closer, that they could have it. After making a phone call and speaking to someone, she finally said she would rent, but she was talking like she was doing it a favor in renting the van to me and being condescending. She didn’t went outside to show me the car or anything, only gave the me keys and told me to go. I rented the car around 10am and returned before 2pm. The same receptionist didn’t want to give me the receipt at the moment ( I guess she was just to comfortable in her chair) and said she would email me. After 30min I’ve got the receipt and she over charged me $20 dollars for after hours drop off. The location closes at 5:30pm, And is indicated on the receipt time of taking the car out and return, so clearly not after hour. I phoned the location over 3x and no one ever answer the phone, so I finally I had to phone uhaul customer service to be able to talk to someone about the over charge. I hope I work with customer service and that lady has not been educated on what that is, don’t think I will ever return to that place.

Not a thing. Great price (as usual), and though the location seemed a bit sketch - the quality of both the service and the vehicle were fantastic! Super clean!!

This is a busy, semi-industrial location, a rather chaotically developed part of town. It's not easy to find a particualr place unless there are huge graphics identifying a business. Having the rental site down a lane is not great. Once you see the sign indicating the lane for this location, all is fine. But see it! The receptionist was generally polite but seemed very grumpy at first. It was very kind of her to back the rented truck out of a difficult, slopping spot, with limited vision, onto the flat lane. at the start of the rental. Why aren't rented vehicles facing forward to make it easier for renters to start their driving of a strange vehicle?

Quick and easy process - staff was helpful.

The whole reseration approval process was quite time consuming and stressful. It took approximately 20mins to finally get approval and some of the information could be obtained pre-rental for example; second verified contact, front and back of DL but understand the head shot being done at time of rental. I only managed to get access to the truck almost half an hour into the reservation pick up time. You should advise customers it might take upto half an hour to collect in order to decrease their stress on top of moving.

Best U-Haul location Ive used. Service agent was very helpful, friendly and obliging. This is the only U-Haul location where I have had this level of service

Location was great, people were decent. The "mobile rental" experience was horrific. Renting a u-hual people are typically in a stressed situation and time is a major concern. The experience required you take a picture of yourself and drivers license. You have to go through a complicated 5+ min identity flow, when you are stressed out and worried about moving in the short time you have. Why not make the user do all this stuff before the rental, instead of at the moment of the rental.

Good to know that you have to go in the back of the building to pick it up. Also I would have liked to know in advance that I had to return the van before the store closed. The person we dealt with was nice and helpful.

Clean and very centrally located (Off Main & 8th). The people who work there are not very personable but efficient. I found many reviews talking but ramp steepness, but it wasn't so bad after all.

Address to pick up is wrong. Tiny sign in shop window says go around the back to an alley which is 10 minute walk, no signs whatsoever. Took 45 minutes for the app to work and upload a photo. Called Customer Service for help, who literally had no idea what I was asking. Finally got the app to work and discovered that there was an office inside and a woman watching me on the camera the entire time who did not offer to help once. Finally got the key and the truck was parked completely in by two other trucks. Went back to the office and got the girl to move it. Missed an hour of deliveries. Entire process could have taken 30 seconds like the other time I used U-haul as I spoke to a friendly person. The app takes far too much times, probably took more staff to review and speak to etc. At the end of the day, some things just cant be done by an app and still expect customer service, renting could be as simple as showing your licence and picking up a rental. Will never recommend or use U-Haul again.

Very clean with friendly and helpful staff. The parking is steeeeeeep and kind of freaky when you’re parked there because of the incline, but the storage facility itself is great!
