Online experience was horrible. Half the time it did not work. I needed to repeatedly put in the same information that I had previously put in. When returning the truck we could not get the return to go through. We thought it went through but good thing I called because it didn't.Gretchen P.
My experience with Uhaul was fine however my experience with the movers I paid for through Uhaul was AWFUL his name was Alex and he was late rude obnoxious and wouldn't complete the job unless I paid him another hour. I sincerely hope nobody else has to deal with this horrible little man his number is 347-752-8589Marcus F.
The truck was fine, but the online booking experience was awful. I was told that I would receive a call from a representative a day in advance to confirm the truck and provide instructions on how to access it. I never recieved a call. When arriving at the gas station, I had to call someone and they told me something about an additional contract that I had never received. I then had to wait about a half hour in the parking lot for the support team to verify me before I could get the key. I also never saw any instructions on how to calculate the gas mileage when returning the truck, which I was told would be in the contract. The automation process here could be improved a lot through facial recognition software and improved automation rules.JASON B.

I went to go pick it up at an Exxon station and the attendant gave me directions to a sketchy location that was way behind some house, I had to use their driveway to find the lot, didn't enjoy that at allPATRICK C.

I did not expect to be going to a gas station and then to a parking lot ; the woman working was very helpful - she did a great job - but it was all a little strange ...so I've should have given me an idea of what to expect- the vehicle was insanely loud ajd it didn't sound great ... and an engine light went on which made me nervous ..LAURA D.
Would be best if the yard on site or if the manager was present when you go to the station. Otherwise everything was smooth and manager was very pleasant and accommodating. The process was fairly simple. Truck was in good shape.MARC F.
This location is not at the stated address. Upon arriving to this location, I was sent to another location that was dark and in the back corner of a dead end. I did not feel safe and it was extremely hard to findCharlene R.
There was an issue with the jack on the trailer. It wasn't working so UHAUL sent a repairman to resolve the issue. But I lost one day of my trip. UHAUL credited me the day thankfully.HRATCHE B.

This was so easy, great job! Would definitely rent from here again and the fact that you can get gas right at the return is excellent. Note that the trucks are at a lot 2 mins from the gas station itself, everything really well identified in the app / site.David S.
Truck, equipment and location were great and very nice. I was however disappointed that my location was changed without any notice after it had been confirmed the day before. I had scheduled for Westwood which is a mile from my house and had to go to Glen Rock which is about 7 miles from my house so my mileage ended up being double of what I anticipated as well as gas.JOEL R.

Would not allow me to drop the trailer at the location. Made me drop it in a vacant lot (with no attendant) the next town over. It was literally down an alley then into some type of junk yard. I have pictures if you want. Gas station attendant was not friendly and told me not to blame him as he just works there. Spoke to area manager. He is aware of the situation. He also knows this is not how U-Haul is supposed to operate. If I had known this site was such an issue, I would have dropped it at a different dealer. The area manager acted like he didn't know at first and then admitted that he was aware and it has operated that way for "12 years". He told me he would credit the card with $25 for "my troubles" after I asked to be compensated for doing someone else's job. Definitely a poor representation for U-Haul!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!STEPHANIE M.

I had a guaranteed online reservation at another location (Shield Self Storage 14 E 24th St, Paterson, NJ 07514) but was unable to get the keys as the code didn't work and there was no one present or picking up the phone. So that sucked but this location was great.RON W.

There should be a note before renting that indicates the need to go to the different location to actually pick up the rental. It wasn't difficult to get to, but did make the process longer than expected.Samuel V.

I reserved a truck in Ringwood NJ and was told a day before I had to go to Glen Rock, 17 miles away. My drive took me past the Ringwood place and the truck was there, so why should I pay for an extra 34 miles? Also, I returned the truck with pretty much the same amount of gas, maybe one needle width lower and got charged for a quarte tank at inflated rates (this is a gas station I rented from). To begin the Uhaul truck is not at the location it says it is I had to travel to pick it up inconveniently and I had an altercation with the attendant at this location she is unrightfully charging me a crazy amount ($500) cleaning fee for something I did not do.Jonathan V.

So, sorry, This was ridiculous. It was not made clear how it all worked and we felt like it was a scavenger hunt to find our vehicle. Go to the gas station which didn't have the truck, it was in a lot somewhere else. And once we put in the info in the app then it gave us the real location and what looked like a child's hand drawn picture of a map to follow. The trail we had to follow was impossible to notice, it was an unmarked alleyway which we missed about 5 times since it was unnoticeable. The lot itself seemed really insecure compared to the hurtles if information the app requires. I don't know, the whole process was veryyyyy confusing and frustrating. I would not recommend.Justine B.

We were told to pick up at Exxon station in Glen Rock. When we got there, we were given a different location for pick up (282 S Broad St, Ridgewood). We had a difficult time finding this new address, as it was on a private property with no U-Haul signs. We called the contact & were directed to enter through that private residential driveway in order to reach our destination. This was an unsettling experience during a stressful time & wasn't as smooth as we had hoped.Ilya L.
Tried to do mobile check in. Didn't work and we were sitting in the parking lot for over an hour before we were allowed to leave. This made us late in returning the vehicle which beyond being charged for an extra day was a horrible experience as well. There is no signage to find the driveway to the parking lot which was very difficult to find in the dark. Last but not least, the key drop off box had a slot that was too small to actually fit the key so I had to resort to nesting the tag in the slot.Michael B.

The car was not on site and I was not provided with a ride - I had to walk almost a mile to get the vehicle. The vehicle was in a backstreet that didn't have signs so it took a very long time to fine. The van was filthy. And during covid that's even more concerning. The van had a broken sideview mirror, which made it difficult to see clearly. Then, when I dropped off the van. I was made to return it back to the hidden, far weird parking lot, which had no lights for safety. Then the key didn't fit in the return box. I would never ever rent from this location again and I am very unlikely to have uhaul again.iris B.

I booked a Wyckoff location based on stated online availability and convenience to me. On my first reservation, I was re-routed to Waldwick. When I said I'd have to think about it, the agent canceled my reservation, though I did not ask him to. After shopping around a little bit, I changed dates and thought I'd give it another shot. Same thing, but this time re-routed to Glen Rock. No call from any agent to confirm. Showed up and was told I'd have to drive another mile to pick up the truck at a secluded and shady location. Since I had to drive extra miles out of my way from what and where I booked, I thought the least Uhaul could have done was to credit the difference in miles (perhaps $8-10) that I should not and would not have had to drive had the vehicle and location I booked based on *your* online information was available. This would up costing me 30-60 minutes and about $10 extra. I'm firing Uhaul like I've fired so many other companies that can't do the easy things well. The people renting the truck at the service station were nice enough, but unwilling to issue a mileage credit. Bad customer service!Todd C.
