This truck was extremely dirty inside and out. The cab smelled of a smoke. The back of the truck had loose nail, clumps s of hair and batteries in the back as well as glue stuck to the floor. The dispatch agency did not walk out with me to review the truck and since I was in a rush I did not see until I got home. When I dropped the truck off in Raleigh I was assessed a 50 dollar cleaning fee which should have been assessed to the dispatch agency not me. This is totally unacceptable and I want a refund.Tom F.

The cab and cargo areas of the truck were dirty and had trash in it. The location would not buy back the wardrobe boxes even though it is written on the box "100% guarantee buy back".Alexander C.
Truck ran badly. Engine light on. Struggled on the slightest hill. Bad brakes, barely worked or grabbed unexpectedly. It was a very stressful experience not having any confidence that the truck would handle what I needed to get done. Very disappointing for a U-Haul!LINDA Y.

The checkout lady was very slow and not caring about time of me as a customer. I returned truck spoke with the attendent no one told me to check it in when I returned the truck he told me to park it and drop keys in the box then charged me 20.00 that was not cool. I rent at least 15 to 20 uhauls a month and never have a been charged for anything especially that. I'm very disappointed in the behavior of this location not acceptable.Terry C.

The lady at the Location couldn't help me check into get the truck, and the when I got the truck and drove for 5 miles the check engine light came on. Then as I am moving my stuff from one place to another the trucks transmission went out and the roadside assistance people had to come.Caleb B.

Since U-Haul has made this location check in/return through the website it is extremely better. I had a prior experience with this location that was horrible. Parking in front of the gas pump because there was nowhere else to park on the premises when I returned the truck cost me an additional $50. My gas mileage was at the appropriate mark upon return and I was still charged $17.50 for gas. But again, since the option to handle my reservation was done online instead of at this establishment itself, I'd recommend them because they have trucks available when other locations don't.Toya T.
I was charged almost double my quoted price. When I brought up the concerned with the cashier, I was not given a clean response as to why I was charged a different total. Another staff member was very boisterous and aggressive. He raised his voice, used unprofessional and unsavory language, and placed his hand in my face. I received a mysterious text about my reservation asking to provide a passport at 10:40 pm. Tried to check in onsite and the attendant was in the gas station playing a game so I had to go inside to complete a reservation that she said was canceled. This location isn't an ideal place I would care to rent from in the future. Not great service, poor aesthetics and not confident they would get my reservation correct.Kwadjo S.

Staff at this location were friendly and helpful. But U-Haul call center staff were rude and had very poor customer service. They ended up charging me almost double what they had quoted with my reservation.HAMILTON A.

Warning light was on while driving. Needs to be checked out. I returned the van 30 minutes late and was charged for a second day rental that included coverage when I did not need the additional coverage because the van was returned. Facility was not open when we arrived. We reserved a 10 ft truck, not available. Check engine light on. Drop off facility had 2 locations. No one working. App could not locate us, had to call 800 number, on hold for 15 minutes. I took picture of mileage when dropped off. 14346.3, someone checked vehicle in with 14, 354.4 and we were charged for going over. What a scam!! Calling the bbb Thie drop off location was not in wagram nc. We were told to drop off in laurinburg at mikes car repair shop per the link you provided.Ken C.
1) The self pick up wasn't available which caused my move to start 1 1/2 hours later than planned. 2) the employee couldn't have been more rude 3) the truck had almost every light on the dash-tire pressure, check engine, and a couple others 4) the seat couldn't be moved forward so i could barely reach the pedals 5) the size of truck I booked wasn't available 6) I drove SEVEN miles, but was charged for 50 which was absolutely not listed online. I've rented many uhauls and this was easily the absolute worst experience. Would recommend carrying the stuff on your back instead of wasting your money here.Mary L.

Yes, the vehicle was clean. The customer service was wonderful. However, truck number DC4365ST was in extremely poor condition. I felt skeptical whether this truck could make it there and back without some kind of failure mechanically. There was so much "play" in the steering wheel that you had to turn it about 40 degrees before the steering wheel would start turning the wheels. The radiator temperature red light came on before we even went 9 miles. I called and notified the EXXON AT IRVING PARK about this, They said thank you for letting them know.. So I added water/coolant so the light would go off.. The drivers side rear view mirror was loose and kept falling down so you could not see behind you. Then, I could not get it to go into drive, when you put it into drive , it would stay in neutral, so then move it to the 3, but that was not "drive" it really was 3rd. Drive simply went away, indicating there is a transmission problem. We struggled to open and close the back door because it was so neglected maintenance wise, my daughter actually hurt her wrist and arm trying to close it.. This vehicle was a death trap. You as a company should be ashamed. I have rented your vehicles previously with no problems. I BEG you to take truck number DC 4365ST OFF THE ROAD BEFORE SOMEONE DIES!!Shelly S.

We were set to pick up the truck at 8am and the employee didn't arrive to open the store until 8:05 then asked us to wait a few more minutes outside. The phone kept ringing and they were answering it and we didn't feel like we were a priority even though we had a pick up booked and we were there on time. The employee then quickly rushed outside to grab the dolly from one place and then had the furniture pads locked up in a van outside that they opened and had to get out. They were friendly and nice but it was not organized.Lawrence C.

The people in this station are rude and ineffective. It took the lady forever because she seemed she didn't know what she was doing ( also performing as a cashier in the station) and could not print our copy of the contract. Then when we returned the truck after only having used it for a few miles and wanted to put a few dollars in the truck, she made us put $20 in when we did not use that much gas and would not turn the pump on so we could fill it to the mark on the indicator when we got in the truck. In conjunction, with the issue overall, we were charged an erroneous extra $340 on incorrect charges where it seemed that not only were multiple mistakes made on their end, but it almost seemed purposeful. Please see my pick-up review for most of the description of the combined issues, but in addition to being incorrectly over-charged for missing items, mileage, gas, etc, the drop off location lied about our drop off time. We dropped off the truck at 1:45pm on 3/11, which was 45 minutes before the end of the 24-hr period, yet they tried to claim on the receipt that we dropped it off at 6:50pm! Between this and the pick up location lying about the odometer and gas tank (as mentioned in that review, we have photographic evidence that we sent to corporate), we honestly do not know if these were a series of misfortunate events and mistakes, or if these were purposeful tactics to overcharge customers that would not take the time and effort to push back. The drop off lady made no mention of any issues or the possibility of any extra charges. We showed her the picture (time-stamped) showing the odometer mileage and gas tank, and we explained over and over again that we never received a dolly. And again, she never made mention that there would be any issues or extra charges. She just said "okay, you are good to go." I received an email last night that seemed to show a receipt indicating that we will be refunded for all of the bogus $340 charges, so I am optimistic corporate stepped in and helped and will await to see it removed from my credit card, but wow I know we need another truck in a month and I have always used Uhaul my whole life, but how do I trust this company again?Quinn W.

When I reviewed my receipt in the email, I was charged twice the number of miles I had driven. The miles out was 12450 and the miles in was 12468 (or 12469). I confirmed this total by mapping the distances I traveled. The receipt had a Miles In of 12488. I am not sure how this could be a simple mistake. Very disappointed.VENKATARAMAN G.
