I had 2 day reservation but was already finished with 6x12 trailer. I don't have a big yard to park on my property so I decided to return trailer a day sooner. An employee of Duncan Hardware took possession and I was impressed. But after checking my credit card statement I got double charged. Too good to be true for returns to be that easy. I should have asked for proof of return after.

Although reservations were made online, waiting in line took forever and really ate into the time allowed to have the truck. As luck would have it, the move went well and we returned the truck early.

They charged us for using a dolly which WE DID NOT USE because we had 2 of our own! Then, they charged us for 4 gallons of gas! We put gas in the truck before returning it and have the receipt to prove it! We returned the truck on the 18th at approximately 6:30 PM. The tank was left well over half full. Between 9/16th and 5/8ths OVER half a tank full! This is ridiculous and unethical! We will never rent from this location or patronize this shop again.

I was grossly overcharged. The initial mileage out was a LIE on the paperwork that was not noted until the truck was returned and I was overcharged by nearly $100. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY, ESPECIALLY THIS LOCATION.

I had a reservation at 11:30am, had everything done online before I came in and ready to go. Once there, only one person had computer working, other person was trying to get other to work and never did. I had to wait for over an hour to just back on the road. No one communicated anything. There was no way to bypass the slow tedious process. There was no internet access or cellular signal inside so made it even more torture. No one was wearing masks. It was painful and I will not be going back to this location ever.

Waited 30 minutes to get waited on for a trailer I reserved online. The return process was just as bad with slow service. Won't use the location in the future and might look at other rental companies.

Truck had no washer fluid, steering wheel tipped left and vehicle pulled right, garbage in interior, ripped seat, air conditioning intermittently worked, window crank knob missing and was charged by the mile and had to drive 20 extra miles away. Because it was a Sunday pick up, and around lunch, had to wait an hour to get vehicle and rental is not per day, as you have to have returned in 23 hours. shouldn't be UHaul, should be WeRake

I very disappointed because I paid for equipment and it was not in the truck, time was wasted bet I had to run around for an equipment. I called customer service and he was no help. The truck I had did nit have ani air conditioning and it was very hot

The truck was filthy on the inside. The ash tray was full of cigarette butts and ashes, and the floorboard was covered in grime. The dashboard was covered in a layer of dust. Fast food napkins were on the dashboard, and fast food wrappers were on the floorboard. The interior smelled so bad I had to drive with the windows down. I was in a hurry or I would have rejected the truck. The parking lot is made of gravel with lots of large potholes. It rained recently, so I had to step in mud puddles to get in and out of the truck. There isn't enough parking for the number of trucks at this location. 2 people parked behind me as I was trying to leave, and it took 5 minutes to find someone who could move the trucks for me.

The truck was running awful. Needs maintenance or something it was hesitant to go! If I went over 30mph the truck would start shaking really bad you literally had to drive under 30 mph and on the interstate that IS NOT A GOOD IDEA!

The cost was higher than what we found on the internet. The truck was filthy. Cigarette ashes on the dash. Dirty hand prints all in the truck. I throughly wiped it down with Clorox wipes before I could do anything.

The uhaul that I rented two weeks in advance was not available & the employees did not make me aware of that before hand. I was taken outside to another uhaul and when I said something about it they did not offer to compensate me or give me a discount. I was told that I could use the uhaul I reserved but it didn't have AC. There were also no dolly's available for use and I reserved one with my rental as well. I originally selected a different location but was sent to this location because uhaul guaranteed that this location had what I needed. I was upset because it was 20 miles away from my house. I also called days in advance to confirm. When I came back to return it the line was so long and only one guy was at the desk. I was told to put my key in a pile. I wasn't given a receipt or anything. I could've gotten the uhaul I received from a location closer to my home had I known what I needed wasn't available at this location either & I was going to need to make changes. Uhaul you need to do better!

Mileage was calculated wrong, someone reported and extra 60 miles when I returned unit. I was overcharged, I took pics of Mileage going out and returning. I was reimbursed fifty something dollars, so glad I had pictures

Excellent service and communication. Friendly and professional. With some U-Haul dealers the u-haul rental is secondary to the main business, but the folks at Duncan Hardware seem to be laser-focused on customer satisfaction, whether it be the hardware side or rental side. I have used their services many times and will continue to do so. ¡Gracias!

Good Afternoon, Rented the U-Haul truck yesterday from the Ace Duncan location. Immediately upon getting into the truck I took a bunch of pictures because of how obvious some of the damage was all over the truck. I also took pictures of the current odometer reading. Driving the truck from the lot was very disappointing. The brakes felt like the rotors are warped and uneven and pulsates during normal braking. The transmission did not want to shift gears until I physically had to let off the gas pedal to allow it to shift into the proper gear. The a/c hardly blew cold in the 90 degree weather yesterday. All in all, this was a very dissatisfying experience with u-haul. I have used you guys in the past and never have really had an issue with a rental until now. I would have just brought the truck back if I felt it was too unsafe for me to drive but I was also on an extremely tight schedule. I ended up returning the truck before 8:00 pm the same day and was unable to check it back in through the app because the checked out odometer mileage from the store employee was incorrect in which I had to make another trip there this morning to turn in the keys. I explained to him the issues I was having with the truck. He stated that he would “look into it.” I would hope at the rate y'all charge for an in town same day move that I would be able to have access to some newer and safer loving trucks.

Again, Uhaul sent me to the wrong location. Luckily the employee there was able to go around the reservation and accept the truck. Otherwise I'd have to drive the truck across town with 40 cents/mile being added. That feels like a way to get every penny out of your “valued” customer. I was unhappy with that aspect of Uhaul but the individuals that helped me were delightful.

Online check-in experience was horrible. I still had to go into the Ace Hardware to get the key. My reservation was set to start at 8AM, but it was approx. 9AM before i was able to drive the truck off of the lot. Meaning my 8 hour rental is now 7 hours which definitely put us in a time crunch. Upon returning the truck, i followed the the instructions of taking pictures and uploading them. After completing step 4,i pressed "Continue" and it started me back at step 1. This happened twice. So again, I had to go into the store to handle a transaction that should be completed on line. This time i had to wait in line for almost 30 minutes. To do better... start the reservation timetable when the truck pulls off the lot!!!

Henry was great in trying to get us processed quickly, however the internet went down while loading our info and the van we rented was missing a rear door handle so we had to climb over our cargo at every stop to open the doors.
