Not charge people a gas fee when they almost put it where it was. It was like half a notch. So I put $30 in for gas, and get charged 35 for not putting in perfectly. Mine as well not fill it. Not to mention 89 cents a km is insanely expensive. Won't be using uhaul again.Dylan B.

I ordered a 26 ft moving truck for a 4 bdrm house for May 1st. in Newmarket, less than 24 hrs before I pick up the truck, I get a call that my 10 ft truck in Sutton is ready! (35 min north of my location in newmarket!) It will cost me the same amount and I have to have it back by 4:20 pm?! You ruined my move! I have never been so disappointed. Especially during covid lockdowns! No matter who I called nobody would even try to help. All I heard from your staff was " well this is typical mam. Next time don't book it online" or "this isn't my region, I can't help you." (the phones were being transfered all over because of the call volume) I'm appalled at your policies and lack of customer service! After spending hundreds of dollars on Uhaul boxes, paper, mattress covers, tape and bubble rap - this is how I was treated! People at the rental location were great. Roadside service provided by Uhaul was the worst I've ever experienced. Took 2hrs to tell me I'd have to wait an hour to her a flat changed. Then an hour after that I received a message telling me I had to call my company because the people hired to change the tire weren't coming. Then told I'd have to wait another hour. An hour and a half after that I went to bed as no one was coming. Finally got the tire changed before noon the next day. Dealing with your roadside was a complete and total disaster. Cost me a full day of work.David H.

Drop off location was closed and had to call U-HAUL to get location corrected, thus caused at least a 45 minute delay in ending our trip. My next booking will be in person not on line as too much time was wasted at both locations and was frustrating!cathy B.

When I went in to drop off the keys, the guy said â€œ you Parked it far enough away! Put the keys on the counter. â€œ Very rude. I didn't notice a uhaul sign or truck to park at, so I went through the gate and parked it in an open spot. Now the lady that called me this morning around 8:30am from DC Marine was very friendly. She said she called to confirm it was due back tomorrow at 11:30am and how was everything? I said great and how long are you open to since I plan to bring it back today. She said 5:00pm. If no one is there, just put the keys in the drop box. She had asked me to park it with the other UHaul trucks. When I got there I didn't see any other trucks unfortunately.Hugh C.

Great experience signing out the truck, and the truck was in very good condition and very clean. This wasn't something I wanted to do during COVID, but DC Marine was on top of everything. I was very comfortable with the extreme care they took to make sure even the pen I used was wiped down before I used it.Marla S.
Staff on site are useless. In particular the man behind the counter who couldn't care less. The bill was wrong. They claimed they corrected it. They didn't. To be fair it's not just the people that you hire. Your entire rental process is horrible.Robert S.
The manager of this location does not know how to deal with customers. My 12 year old son dropped the keys in the box the same way he picked them up in the lock box and the manager screamed and swore at my son. I explained it was an accident because he didn't know and is a great kid. This manager continued to yell and I decided to walk towards him but he locked his door. Your truck was great and great value but I will not go to this location ever again. I am sure this will happen.again again with this man. It seemed to take a long time to register and get going once we arrived on the lot. It would have been nice if we could have begin most of the check in part at home then go to the location to complete itcathy G.
I do not appreciate getting a truck in Canada with summer tires that are fit for southern states only. While March may be late in the winter, there is still snow and the tires were NOT up to the weather. The proprietor of the location simply stated "snow tires are not required by law for commercial vehicles". While not required by law, they were definitely required for safety! I got stuck twice, once needing a tow truck and costing $115 CAD. I also do not appreciate getting a truck with only 1/4 tank of gas. Since U-Haul charges for gas below the amount when leaving, this means that the location was just too lazy to fill the truck, and pocketed the extra charge. I was forced to fill the truck before I was even able to leave the vicinity, another delay of 1/2 an hour in my day. All in all, my worst U-Haul experience ever. Maybe my last.Daniel H.

Absolutely horrible. I called 5x about 3 weeks in advanced to make sure that i was to pick my truck up at my preferred destination, and drop it off at my local uhaul. 7:30am rolls around and i get my truck. The girl at the desk googles local uhauls for me in my drop-off area and finds the closest location. She then writes it on my contract and sends me on my way telling me " you can drop these off at any uhaul really" 12 1/2 hours later i finish my 5-stop move and drive to my location to find out its closed. I call the number provided and they straight up tell me "theres nothing we can do about it and you're going to just have to drive 40 minutes to our other location to drop it off. Zero help. Zero understanding. Zero customer service skills. I then ask for a supervisor and she says the same thing. She also says the customer support line opens at 9am. I had to have my truck back by 7am or i would be charged so i tell her this and she says" meh i think they'll work with you i guess. So i force her to change my drop-off time to 10am and have my location changed. I drop it off at 9:30am the next morning and instead of filling the gas up to the 7/8+ mark line, i filled it all the way up cause thats the kind of guy i am. I had filled this the night before, but because i had to drive the truck BACK to my house and THEN to the new drop-off, the lady says to me " oh it looks like its a tad under" and charges me for the difference in gas. Once finished up i called customer service and was irresponsibly tossed around from department to department and hung up on, i finally got someone who in 3 mintues was able to set me up with an email from the GM of scheduling within 1 to 2 days. Still Pending. This has been the worst customer experience i have ever had. I highly advise choosing another service as i have not even been compensated for my troubles. I used to be a mover so i know how to make sure scheduling is appropriately communicated and uhaul just did not care. Never using them again and highly recommend anyone thinking of using them just rents a truck from another company.Jason F.
The treatment I received was was above and beyond excellent. While placing the order i was treaded with the utmost respect. Everything was made clear as to when and where to pick up my trailer. When I arrived for my pick up the trailer was waiting and ready for hook up. The paperwork was was put through quickly. Once hooked up I was given a quick tutorial on how everything works. I was in and out in 20 minutes. It was a joy to work with such organized people. I will definitely be a repeat customer as well as recommend this spot to my friends. We dropped our van off after hours, we topped up the gas and have a picture to prove it. They charged us extra for gas and cleaning fee. We moved a few pieces of furniture. We called them they will not pick up the phone. We sent an email along with copies of the gas receipt and photo of the dash when we dropped it off. Please reverse $46.17.James C.

Original contract was for a location in Stroud Ontario. The day before pickup, they called to say the unit wasn't available but I could pick up in Sutton. I did not know where Sutton was. They said it was 10km from there. It turned out to be 60 km out of our way! Surely there was somewhere else!!!!! The lady in Sutton was efficient.cheryl B.

I have had such a frustating time trying to deal with customer service reps. Not changing orders correctly. I myself need to follow up with the location to confirm, that my truck has been reserved correctly. Only to find out it has been reserved 1 hr away. Then had to call back again to tell them how to correct the error. It is a complete waste of time to use Uhaul.JULIE C.
