The place was convenient. I would have liked Hippensteel's. That would have been closer, but they did not have the cargo trailer we wanted. Used it for vacation rather than packing the cars to the roof. Allowed more room for the passengers. The trailer pulled well and from behind you could tell it was working just fine.GAYLE C.

Timely customer service. I waited on hold for 2 hours to pick up my truck. When i tried to return the truck it wouldnt accept the mileage and therefore I couldnt return the truck. I again called customer service and waited on hold for another hour and a half and still no one answered. I got up today to see ive been double charged for the uhaul and dolly. I also booked to pick up the truck in Waynesboro but was told I had to pick up in chambersburg but at 3 in the morning the day of my uhaul rental I was told i had to get it from shippensburg adding miles I wouldnt have had to travel thus adding to the cost. I tried to get roadside assistance via phone and no one answered after an hour I then went to the app to put in a roadside assistance claim because the tires were spinning and the truck wouldnt go. The recording says "for IMMEDIATE roadside assistance file a claim online" so i did so on the app after 2 more hours we finally got it to move ourselves and the roadside assistance never even texted or called back. I'll never use uhaul again.Holland B.

Uhaul cancelled my reservation at the last minute. I would have been screwed but I called back and spoke to Joanne who was more helpful than the rude person that cancelled my reservation. She was able to find a truck 2 hours away from where I made the reservation. So a 4 hour round trip BEFORE I had to load up and move cross country. The employees at this location were wonderful, but I will never give u haul my money ever again.JOSHUA A.

Every single person who helped me at this location was exceptional. They corrected a mistake that was made at the Carlisle uhaul. Carlisle sold me the wrong part for my hitch after they installed the hitch. I would drive a few extra miles to go to the Shippensburg location over the closer Carlisle uhaul because I felt they went above and beyond to help me.Patricia W.

I had to do an after hours truck return, I personally feel there are too many steps to do online to do a return. It wasn't a very well lit area and I was alone at almost midnight trying to return the truck on line. Having to get in and out of the truck to take 3 different pictures of the truck was a little much especially being alone at night in a not so lit area. I'm sure this is protocol to make sure everything is ok with the truck but it needs to be a little less tedious when doing it on line Other than that it was a great experience and very friendly and helpful staff when I picked up the truckPATRICIA W.

You could have people working at this location who dont charge your card and then have to do it again because I threatened to leave since I was given a price way cheaper than when I got there. I am still waiting on the $199 to hit my card. I haven't had money all weekend so I called and the guy named Devon was extremely rude and he's supposed to be a manager!! His daughter Mara is the one who did this to us, but all they want to say is to call my bank!! And he didn't even want to try and resolve the issue. I would never rent there again and have told many people not to do so as well.Jennifer P.

Two of the four tires on the trailer head significant leaks in them. The other two tires were almost bald. Additionally, it appeared at least one is the wheel bearings was very close to going bad. Not very good preventative maintenance, and not something a renter should have to deal/worry about. I lost a half a day due to these issues.WILLIAM S.

Keys were not to be found in the reported location, had to call customer service to try and locate keys, ended up having to take a different truck than originally assigned and was delayed by almost an hour from when I arrived to pick up the truck. This may sound like a small issue, but as a single mom with a limited time frame that hour made an impact.Arianna H.

This location was where I ended up since the original pick up location was changed 2 times and over 100 miles away. None of the staff at this location wore masks, which would have been nice since we are in a pandemic. The checkout process took a long time because, they said, that u-haul's computer was slow. Overall, I was very disappoiinted with my U-haul experience. I spent @$60 more than anticipated due to extra gas and tolls.David H.
Since the return location was not open on Sunday, I was lead to believe that exact time of my return did not really matter as long as it was there by Monday morning. If I had know that that extra few hours would have resulted in another day's charge, I would have returned it earlier or kept it until the next day. VERY disappointed and unhappy!MARGUERITE T.

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable but no one was wearing a mask and there was no indication that the trucks were sanitized between rentals. The location was convenient so I would still recommend it but would advise renters to bring their own sanitizing wipes and clean the truck before using. Except for these concerns I would give this experience an above average rating.Paula P.

The vehicle was difficult to drive. Acceleration was very poor. Engine had trouble shifting gears. Air conditioning only worked on high. I have rented these before at this location and this was by far the worst. The people are wonderful but the vehicle needs work.Brian G.

Truck was horrible to drive, should be removed from fleet. I used it locally for a couple hours . It worked for what I needed it for but would have never wanted to take it any distance.
