The cash register employee had to use her own phone to do the transaction. She was not trained on how to do that. She did not even know how to use her phone well. It took two HOURS to get through the transaction and I had already done everything ONLINE beforehand. Then, the truck was parked in mud and clearly stuck in the mud. No professional help. The clerk at the convenience store just shrugged her shoulders. I had to accost two customers who were kind enough to use their chain and truck to pull the UHaul out of the mud so I could use it. Not a good experience. It cost me three hours of time that I needed to be using the truck, and I also was paying movers to do nothing for three hours waiting for me to bring the truck to be loaded. Not good. I will not rent a UHaul from this location again.Allison F.

This was an original reservation from uhaul on broad st. in Greensboro GA. They changed it to pick up the trailer in Buckhead because they didn't have one in Greensboro. Not a problem and I said I would do that. When they told me of the change, I asked â€œwhere do I return it. They told me Greensboro. I asked if I could return on Sunday and they said ok, just park it on the lot. When I picked up the trailer in Buckhead I told them this was originally a Greensboro reservation and they told me to return it to Greensboro. I did that on Sunday. I get a call today that I returned to wrong location and if I didn't come and move it to Buckhead, I'd be charged an additional $130. I have now done that. I was instructed by everyone I spoke with to retur to Greensboro. I did exactly as instructed but I'm the one out $130 or my time to fix â€œyour mistake. It cost me $150 from my work to solve â€œyourâ€ issue. Who do I send my invoice to for what it cost me to correct something that I had no part of in making? Jon ErwinJON E.

We did mobile check-in but had to go inside and get the key the girl had no idea what was going on she freaked out when we said we were here to pick up a truck. The back of the truck was not clean I did the check in my husband checked it but did not let me know that it was not clean it had not been swept out or anything we had to do that ourselves. If I had checked I would have taken a picture he didn't know.MARK A.

I made a reservation to pick up my uhaul in Athens, GA as my two children were graduating. A day before we left, I got a text saying the pick up location was in Buckhead, GA which was almost an hour away. When I called I was told there weren't any trucks available in Athens as it was moving out week- clearly I was aware of that which is why I made a RESERVATION for Athens pick up over a month before. I asked if they could get the truck to Athens and she said they don't transfer trucks. Not sure what y'all think a reservation is for, but what if you made a reservation for dinner for an important client and when you got to the restaurant they said they didn't have a table for you, but their sister restaurant did so you just needed to drive an hour to get there? When we did finally get there in the middle of nowhere I might add, I was told that they didn't have the pads, dolly or rolling cart that I had RESERVED. Made moving our furniture extremely difficult as you can imagine. Not only that, there was only a quarter of a tank in the truck so we had to spend more time filling it up. This uhaul experience was horrible. We were gone for over two and a half hours which took us away from a graduation gathering for my children.Kim H.

It was raining and the clerk did not check fuel, mileage, or condition with me. Fuel was overstated on contract. Far more interested in selling snacks and lottery tickets than renting a truck.DARRELL K.
Raj was by himself and the place was busy (gas station and store) but he did a good job of helping us and getting the truck parked in the proper location..lee W.
Person didn't want to help me to begin with. Told me that I had to go to Greensboro or Madison. I told him I didn't know where either of those places were. I told him that that location was on the list. I made a special trip the day before to make sure it was still a drop off point. There were u-haul signs everywhere and other trucks. He finally agreed to take it. I had to take a picture of the dashboard to show him the mileage. He wouldn't do anything. I didn't use the moving blanket bag and I think I should be reimbursed. I had to pay for 3 gallons of gas but put gas in before I got there. I will not use u-haul again.MARK O.

No need to improve just wanted to mention that my plans changed a bit so my reservation got bumped to a new location. Not a major inconvenience as the new one wasn't far away but...the customer service of Ted at my original location and then the service of the guy over the phone at the second location were both AMAZING. I hope not to move again anytime soon but I will definately recommend you guys to anyone else who is. Thank youJanet S.

Used the app to check out. Then went inside to return the key. Was told there was not a Uhaul location there and they just never removed the "Uhaul Rental" sign. Called Uhaul, they claimed to have no record of me renting the truck. I still have the key as there was not a box and no one would take it in the gas station and there was not a key box for me to drop it in. Called Uhaul again the next day. Was told that was a valid location and the clerk must have been confused. Was told "Danny" would call me to let me know how to get the key to him as we still have it. No one ever called. I still do not know what to do with this key. No one at Uhaul cares or will help me, but I was threatened with paying a lost key fee. I HAVE TRIED IN VAIN TO GET SOMEONE TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO WITH THIS KEY. I TOLD UHAUL THE TRUCK WAS LEFT IN AN UNSECURE LOCATION, THEY DO NOT CARE. This was the worst experience I have ever happened.Tracy S.
Originally to pickup 15 ft truck in Athens, GA. Updated on Saturday to pickup in Madison, GA. Jasmine guaranteed truck at updated location at 1:00 pm. Also, I asked if my son, 20 years old could pickup, she said no problems, because I listed him as additional driver. My son is in Madison at 1:00 pm and there is no truck. Next, we receive update at 1:30 pm that truck is now a 26 ft and pickup is updated again to Buckhead, GA. My son is able to get transportation to Buckhead, thank goodness. Now, there seems to a problem with son picking up truck. Gentleman at store enters all data on his cell phone. My son calls the main office to speak with Jasmine, she is apologetic. Someone at Uhaul offers my son $50 discount for problems. I confirm to Uhaul via email and we finally get the oversized truck. This truck presented problems with entry to my location and was worried about breaking pavers on driveway. Overall, this rental was a nightmare! I have been a Uhaul user for many years, but I will seek others options available next time. My son says he will never use Uhaul again.Martin M.

Cashier did not know how to check in returns. Had to wait. Have email stating I had 1 day and 3 hours which would put return at 12:30pm. When I rented truck it changed my 1 day and 3 hours to exactly 24 hours (10am). I had to wait for person to get there to check in...she showed up at 10:15am....causing a charge I disputedDavid H.

We received a call that we could not pick up the truck we wanted at the location they promised and that we would have to drive to a location further away if we wanted that size truck. They also changed the pick up time from noon to 5pm. I called at 1:00 to make sure they would have it and they said it was already there. If I hadn't called we would have had to wait until 5. They should have let us know. It was inconvenient and we were waiting on the truck.Eric B.

The gentleman that took care of me was very nice and friendly and never rushed me in any way he was very professional and kind his helper was also very kind and helpful. This was my first time ever getting a uhaul and they made it very easy to do and I was super nervousLynn K.

I took the time to reserve a trailer and check-in on-line, but when I arrived the location said they had to re-enter all of the info, and eventually got the initial invoice amount wrong! They corrected while I was there, but then later when I returned the trailer they still tried to charge the higher amount. And, they had no working printer to provide a receipt!Charles M.

We had originally planned to get a truck at the Greensboro location but no one bothered showing up for work that morning. It was out of our way ans added mileage to go to another location but we were appreciative they had a truck available. The clerk at the store had too many responsibilities and my husband had to take her phone and take a picture of the mileage for her. Not the best experience, but again grateful they had one at all for us to rent.ALLISON T.
The U-Haul rep at Buckhead was professional, but the location was below U-Haul standards. All I was doing was dropping off, so no big deal. I wouldn't recommend the location if I were picking up.Larry G.

Agent who accepted the key when we returned the truck was not customer friendly. She was about to charge us more than 70 miles when we only had 43.5 miles. Good that we checked. She even looked mad when we had questions about the discrepancy. Truck's light (inside where our stuffs are) is not working. We unloaded night time.CECILE R.

We would not recommend U-Haul to a friend. We have rented three trucks in the last month and rented the first and last time ever from U Haul. We rented the other two times from Budget. And have to rent again in the week and it will for sure be Budget. We reserved a 26ft on line to be picked up in Milledgeville GA and a few hours before our pick up we received an email that U Haul changed our pick up location to an 1 1/2 away from where we reserved it. We called them and they said they texted us of the change. #1 we didn't mark to be contacted by text. This is so unprofessional!!! We called the U Haul main corporate office and they could of cared less that our pick up location was messed up and caused us a lot of time and money. They told us that they just can't produce a truck for us!! And basically told us U Haul did not need our business if we wanted to cancel the truck. We will never rent another U-Haul truck again. And we will make sure anyone that we have contact with will not either. Matter of fact I think I need to post on Face Book and Twitter our story.Don M.

I updated my info on line and had to wait forever. Check-in took 35 minutes. Waited forever for the printer to work and it still didn't work. I did not have a contract or any printed material. The attendant (said she was the store owner's daughter) had horrible customer service skills. I guess that was my penalty for being 5 minutes late. No furniture pads. Never heard of a u-haul facility not having pads. Returned truck on time and the return was just as horrible. Attendant had to call someone to manually provide the charges. Wasted a lot of time. NEVER will I use this facility again. I don't know which was worst: the horrible customer service experience or the flies in the storeCHERYL T.

It took an hour to rent the truck and car hauler since we did not reserve the hauler. Then we had to travel back and forth between two locations for 9 miles each way. location one computer was not working sent to location two stating they had a truck but neither had a car hauler. once at location two determined that location one had a car hauler and but paperwork needed to be completed at this location since the computer system at location one was not working. then had to travel back to location one to pick up the truck and car hauler before beginning our day.Tamika R.

DONT rent from these people. If you reserve a truck, it wont be there. If you walk in, they dont know how to use the software. If you finally get a truck, they cant find the key. If you enjoy self-abuse and wasting hours of your moving time, this is the place to rent.JEFFERY J.

Make sure that you have the truck available when a customer reserves one on line. We reserved a truck online to be picked up in Madison and confirmed it with the location. When we went in to pick it up this morning, we were told that there were two reservations for the only 17' foot truck they had. We therefore had to drive to the Buckhead location for another truck. If we had had to drive much further, we would just have looked for other options! Thank goodness we weren't really pushed for time!
