No one was at the first place I rented from although the equipment was in the yard there was no one there...I called uhaul and had another place a mile away that had my equipment and it was ready by the time I got there..in and out in less than 10 min

I reserved a truck and tow dolly to be picked up in Jeffersonville IN, the night before I was to pick up I was notified I had to go to Louisville KY because they didn't have my equipment available. The distance isn't much of a difference however that meant crossing a toll bridge 4 times with my own car and twice with the rental truck.Uhual said they would cover the tolls for the truck, the night before moving day of course was too late to find another option so I had to just suck it up and pay the tolls for my car. I received an email yesterday from uhaul that i owe the tolls on the truck (currently desputing). The store was supposed to open at 8 am I had to call the customer care line because they were still not open at 8:25 am despite an employee enjoying his morning coffee in the lobby. We then had to wait 20 min before the owner showed up at 8:45 am to process our rental. When we went to get the truck which was across the street at a different address there was a homeless person sleeping in the back. We finally got on the road at 9:45 am even though our rental was for 8 am. When we came to return the truck at 8 am. No big surprise the store was closed despite hours of operation showing 8 am. We ended up returning the truck via the app which requires you to take pictures as proof that you returned the truck to the proper address but because of the truck being parked at a different address that proved difficult as well. I always considered UHaul to be the go to for moving truck rental but after this experience, I think next time I need a truck I will give someone else a chance. I waited 1.5 week to write this review so I could review with a clear head. Even now the above mentioned problems were only part of the issues I had with this experience. This was by far the worst equipment rental I or anyone in my family have ever experienced.

The African guy was rude. He got angry bc I didn't park where he wanted me to park when I returned the truck. I told him that he didn't have to get angry and that I couldn't read his mind. and I apologized. He was toxic. Mean. The dude inside is awesome as always. There are pick up centers nearer to where I live but I come here because the guy inside is so cool. - No need for the African guy to be so rude. I was friendly to him anyway. Unnecessary.

I set up online to pick up the truck from broadway store from 8am to 8am with a dozen blankets and to be dropped of at the Preston store. When I got there at 807 doors locked called the number and the guy said he would be there in 15 mins. He didn't get there til 830ish. He ask if I wanted blankets I said yes I request a dozen He said he only had a few so I couldn't get blankets then I told him I was dropping the truck off at Preston and he said all of his truck were round trip so I had to bring it there. I had no choice had people already wait for me to get back. I was finish with the truck early and brought it back at 630 when the hours were til 7 but once again the door was locked so I called him to see if he was there and he said to just leave the key in the drop box.

I don't know where to start so I will add bullet points to tell you how bad my experience was.... - the location I selected didn't open at 8am as I was advised the person got there late, and on top of that the place inside looks like a mechanic shop idk what they are running here, the person that helped had another customer infl front of him that has a reservation already but no the representative couldn't find it so he had to call someone and start screaming and cursing in front of the customers in English and other languages so unprofessional. - the truck that I requested was a 10 he advised he had a 15 on the system he changed it with a horrible attitude - finally after waiting outside from 8-8:30am in the cold waiting for this idiot he showed me my truck he opened the door said I just received this one yesterday so has no gas 1/8 so make sure u leave from here to the gas station oh btw "I haven't been able to even clean it yet but it's fine" - the last person that used the uhaul smoked so much that my throat started hurting on the second day Look I'm not trying to be an ass, I've done customer services for 15 years and I never had such a horrible experience like this, and the worse thing I know it's not uhaul fault is that location need to be CLOSED like immediately and I will make sure of that I expect some sort of reply because I wasn't asking from r much just for what I paid for here my email have fun baussda2424@gmail.com

Everything was great. My only concern was the cost of the replacement gasoline. Almost $5/gallon was charged vs the cost at the pump is approximately $2.79. I thought it should be adjusted for the current prices which have drastically decreased.

We dropped the U-haul off on Main st. We did not go to the location on Broadway. However, the place on Main is a truck wash for trucks that carried animals to be slaughtered. The smell was horrible. However, we had no issues dropping off the keys and returning the truck.

First trailer had a bent tongue. Trailer not usable. Sent me 3 miles down the road to another dealer to pick one up in a parking lot with nobody around. It was sketchy. Lights out and missing, strap ratchets were rusted and didn't work. Tires were soft. Safety chains were damaged.

Truck was dirty, cup holders, floor, everywhere. It also smelt like cigarettes. Truck felt old and shaky and had scrapes on the outside, it also leaked in the cargo section of the truck

They didn't have my reservation, only had a truck with some minor issues, it drove fine but was a mess, roof leaked in the rain, (bed had an inch of water and had to park on a hill to drain it), front tire had a slow leak, office is pretty disorganized, etc., but at least the staff was friendly. It sucks that the system showed a cargo van available, I rented it well in advance, but they didn't have it.

First have truck reserved available or notify customer before, have reserved supplies ready and in truck. ABSOLUTELY have some gas in truck--mine had 7 miles to Empty!!!---that is ridiculous forcing me to use gas station across street which was much higher than those closer to my home and the inconvenience of this--what if no gas station at all that close? When called owner while at gas station he assured me would get me a credit of $50.00 which has not happened nor doubt ever will as already paid UHaul. And if ever do the only credit of any value to me is off my original form of payment not towards next UHaul as not planning on moving again to have the need for this. Should have cancelled when arrived and nothing there as reserved or ready, Lesson learned.

hello I only used truck for 2 hours and have not seen $20 diffrence ut back on my card cost was 15 insurence 20 for truck 55 taken off card for 2 hours thank you the had ashess in ash tray area , truck in tight spot difficult move out gas wasnt on half tank I have pictures lights indicating issues with truck was on, I usually use preston u haul but she didnt have trcks are van i needed

Very fast service. Van was clean and well maintained. First time I've rented from this location. I use rentals a lot to transport large items and this will be my go-to location from now on. Open on Sunday. There don't appear to be many packing supplies and boxes, but they do have dollies.

The freaking workers were not there. The sign said open but it was locked. After calling many times, the workers answered saying they were on the way??? this was 2.5 hours after they opened. also the app was way too difficult. the parking lot was horrible.

The website gives you the impression that you can choose the type of vehicle you need to rent, and then go to a certain location to get said vehicle. This is not the case at all. There is a huge disconnect from what the site promises and what the location offers. There were no vans available, so I ended up spending more money to rent a large truck. Customer service was awful. When I came to pick up the vehicle, I didn't get a "I'm sorry, the vehicle you reserved isn't here, but I can order you a different vehicle." Instead it was "We don't have any vans" with a dead stare. I had to suggest renting a truck.

initilly I ordered a van a month in advance, however I called a week before pick and let them know I won't need a oneway. but when i got there i was told my reservation was cancelled. All the years of me renting with Uhaul I never experienced poor professionalism. The trucks were beaten down. Cracks in the driver's mirror, and the passenger side door popped every time I opened the door. There was low air pressure in the passenger side tire when I mentioned it to the manager he stated it would be fine. I was concerned, so he said I could take it down the street to put air in the tire myself. I asked if he could take it down the street himself, which he did. I have never been charged a deposit or the cost of miles upfront. Honestly this process my me feel like the company only wanted my money.
