The truck was great, had no issues with it at all. However the owner showed up to the office 20 minutes late, causing delays in me getting the truck and was not apologetic about it at all. When he did get there, he sort of just ignored us and didn't offer any real help. Because of this I almost ran over my booked time and it just added extra stress to my moving day.Lara K.

Be more transparent and honest about the price. I rented a 15ft truck drove maybe a total of 2 miles. I drive the truck so little that the gas tank on full was on full when I returned it without putting in gas in, that's how little it. The guy tells me that it would be 90 some dollars.. I'm like your what the truck was $30 ?I drove maybe a total of 2 miles. I would like for someone to contact me and explain why I had to pay 60 some extra dollars?Alonzo C.

Homeless people living in cars on the lot. Operator showed up 35 minutes after their posted 8:00 opening. Yelled at me for calling Uhaul to complain about the location. Truck reeked of cigarette smoke. I was charged for insurance that I did not request. My reservation was moved from a location near my old and new home to this location by Uhaul. I would be embarrassed to have this location or the operator represent my brand.Brian H.
1. Be present with an open store when during the store's stated hours. 2. Apologize to a customer if they had to wait on you to open the store 45 minutes after store is supposed to open and 15 minutes after the reservation started. 3. Make an effort to ensure customer receives all equipment rented as we were not given the furniture pads we ordered and then were told over the phone it was our fault for not asking for them. I would never recommend this u-haul location to anyone. It was a horrible customer service experience, and the owner did not care that he was bad at his job.Bryan J.
First off, I was charged for a dolly that I never received. The usage fee for that way $30 more than the actual rental. I plan on contacting customer support about this matter, but very busy. The truck had candy wrappers all in it, but other than those 2, it was a well experience.HEATHER B.

The staff was friendly, but the location was very small, could not park in the parking lot with spare car while dropping off truck. I thought the dealer was unprofessional-he was ok with me but talked about other customers in front of me not to mention I saw him interact with another customer and I was VERY uncomfortable with his lack of professionalism and it is as he does not know how to be kind even in stressful situations. Mark was beyond helpful and understanding. He helped me retrieve a Uhaul three hours earlier than my reservation. And even though I still had the extra time to move, he was very kind about extending my drop-off time when I faced several setbacks. He's professional and straightforward without setting aside his kind demeanor, and his availability was top-notch in providing information and assistance. Location has almost no parking -- homeless people camping in the lot. Trucks are parked across the street in a defunct restaurant on an unmaintained lot. It looks like you would get a flat tire driving on it. It feels like a bad part of town. I wouldn't go there at night.James F.

This location was extremely unprofessional. I called to make a reservation weeks in advance and then confirmed a few days before and when I arrived they said I had never made a reservation. Then, they changed the terms of the rental at the last minute, which created large issues with the timing of my move. I would never go back to this location and would warn others to not go as well. The operator/owner was very helpful. However, your overall booking system, call support, and web site made this much more difficult than necessary. Broadway Storage finally fulfilled my reservation after 2 other sites failed to have the truck promised. Speaking to a live agent to help with the matter was an arduous task. EXPERIENCE SCARRED ME!!! The U-Haul attendants should have in-person interactions with customers recorded at all times. Physical contacts & receipts should be provided to the renter so that we can look over what is being put in the computer. We waited over an hour from a mobile pick up time for the store to open (which was 20 minutes later than the posted time). Pickup was at 7am, site was supposed to open at 8am, and the store didn't open until 8:20am. We lost over an hour of the one day we had planned with family while we were in town. The mobile pickup had been booked a day in a half in advance but somehow it was not recorded at the pickup site as far as we were told. Then, the price we booked was not the price that was put on the contract. While this got fixed later on my credit card, I had to insist on a printout to prove that we only should have paid about $35 and not $85. Both charges were initially on my card. All this happened when we should've been able to just pick up the car without dealing with the office until drop off.Suzanna B.

The truck i reserved was not there for pickup so given the next size truck and told at the same rate as the small truck, $19.95. Also, he was aware the battery cable was loose but said it should be ok to drive and showed me what to do if it didn't start and told me i could call for help. I took the truck since movers were waiting. Once the truck was turned off it would not start again. Had to get assistance with starting truck and had to leave it running for fear it would not start again. Once returned I had to call 2 times to get receipt and was charged the wrong rental price. Called back and was told he could not correct the charge but to call customer service. I am currently on hold with customer service and the wait time is 50 (FIFTY) MINUTES!!!Monique B.

So we had to call scheduling to find an open store and add a car trailer. We picked up the truck but they didn't have a car trailer. So we got the truck loaded and we went to another location for trailer to find that store was also closed. Had to call again to find a trailer. When we got to the location they didn't have a trailer only a tow dolly. We took what we could get. While on road noticed a 2 inch slit in tire, on top of transmission slipping and very poor brakes . Tried to call and sat on hold over 20 mins in the rain. So there was no choice but continue. The truck turned a 6 hour drive into 10! Will never recommend uhaul to anyone ever againtrace W.

Hi... well, I requested two dates and the second date was cancelled without asking me as the traffic office thought it was a duplicate! Then when I picked the key for the first date I was told I would have to go elsewhere for the second day pickup... Originally told Jeffersonville and then changed to New Albany (which was better).. I was waiting in the car for the owner to arrive and I get a call telling me the Uhaul hadn't been brought back yet! So I was told to go to downtown Louisville (which was on the way to where I was going....) but OMG, what a mess if I do say so. I have rented a Uhaul for this event several years and I have never had this experience before.BONNY W.

The truck was a joke. The a/c turned off and on randomly so I would go from sweating to death to freezing along my 900 mile trip. The engine ran rough and before I turned it in the check engine light came on. Not at the fault of the location I picked it up from because the light wasn't on and the a/c blew cold when I picked it up. Oh and the steering felt like it was falling apart. I could move the steering wheel about 3â€ with no change in direction which wasn't idea because while driving down the highway it would wander back and forth with out moving the steering wheel. Made it nerve racking to pul a car hauler trailer all that distance with the truck wandering aroundJosh R.

I have no issue with the location, as they ended up helping at the last minute. I set up a reservation 2 weeks ago for today at 330. I was informed yesterday via email, that my location has changed. Was informed by text this morning that my time changed to 4. At 4:00, the truck still wasn't back and they had nothing else for me. I asked the guy to check and see if another place has a trailer available, and the above place had it, so we went there to get it. But it was a MAJOR inconvenienceMICHAEL H.

I have rented moving trucks from Penske, Budget, U-Haul, and other companies many times before. This was the worst experience by far, primarily with respect to U-Haul as a corporation, but also with respec to the pickup location. The online advance check-in I completed was not registered. The truck cab was filthy, with a recently smoked cigar still on the floor. The employee insisted a walk-around inspection was unnecessary. Photographs in the online condition approval form did not match the condition of the vehicle when rented. My actual mileage was about 6 miles but I was charged for the estimated mileage of 20 miles and have not yet received a refund. I rented 6 moving blankest but only received 5. The "receipt" sent by U-Haul only reflected estimated mileage and the (incorrect) odometer mileage at pickup. I can no longer recommend U-Haul rentals.Christopher P.

BY FAR, my best experience with U-Haul. I contacted several locations and Mark was the only U-Haul rep willing to help. I appreciated his patience and genuine concern for my situation. And, it wasn't just for me, he was a class-act with everyone who entered or called his location. After having several frustrating experiences with other locations, it was so nice to be treated with respect. We rented a truck and tow dolly and Mark made sure everything was in order and that we were ready for our long road trip. I would recommend this location to anyone in the Louisville area needing U-Haul services.Onjewel S.

I returned the truck after hours, and the parking lot appeared to be being used for a narcotics transaction. Could probably use more and/or better lighting. I also got charged for an additional gallon of gas when I had just stopped at the gas station and filled the tank (at least as far as the pump would allow). The truck didn't want to turn, the owner of the store had to charge the truck. Took the truck to my apartment, when the helpers arrived 7 hours later the truck again failed turn in on , I have to call again the owner for help. Him ending saying will call the uhaul company to give me discounts which the next day he denied. The helpers was terrible on the service, I flight to just moved my stuff in storage and ending not finished the moving, sadly I have to book a flight just to moved my bedframe. The experience with Uhaul was very unfriendly and unprofessional. From the second day of my one way move they were hounding me to return the truck early. Apparently there was a truck shortage. They made me go to another state to pick up my equipment, did not have it ready or readily available when I arrived but I did not know this until I finished the paper work. New policy is they are now needing equipment the hour you check it out, not just the day of. I spent 2 hours there after my processed time, finding the equipment, getting it connected, and getting out. The day I turned it in, because I processed the paperwork at eleven, they wanted it back by then. I let them know Thursday I would be done between one and three Saturday. The unloaders wouldn't be there until 9 and you all booked them minimum of two hours so they already knew 11 would not work. Then the help was late on top of that. They called me all morning requesting verification on my return. Apparently they had rented it out at 11. They were overly aggressive and eventually charged me for an extra day when I dropped it at 2 instead of 11. Totally an unprofessional experience.JOSEPH D.

U-Haul corporate redirected my rental to this location, then it turned out the location didn't have the truck I requested at the time I requested it. The location upgraded my truck for no charge, boss service. The corporate double charged my holding fee. U-Haul as rental service is worth the price, but dodgy at best, this location is choice. Though, be careful of the entrance and exit, it's a bit of a tight squeeze getting through.Robert Y.

The location was dirty, the employee/owner was rude (he made me wait 5 minutes while he submitted a prescription online, and then kept looking at his phone while he was supposed to be guiding my trailer into the location he asked me to back it in a tight parking area), and charged me the $15 cleaning fee for an immaculate trailer.
