Our UHaul rental experience at AMF Self Storage on Bessemer was excellent. We made a reservation on short notice the day before we needed a trailer and they had an assortment available including exactly what we needed. We were running late to pick up and the office called to see if we needed to make a change and automatically adjusted our 24 hour rental window. When we arrived they were ready with a clean trailer and the moving blankets we had requested to rent. Drop-off was quick and efficient with the manager meeting us outside so we didn't even have to go inside. Without a doubt we will be renting from this location in the future any time we have a need and will recommend them to others without hesitation.Nathan D.
The truck was terrible and the check engine light came on as we were driving. I mentioned at the time of pickup that it didn't not look like the truck wanted to give gas and turns out it was misfiring on 4 cylinders although I was told it just needed to warm up. Also I had to stop every 1 1/2 - 2 hours to fill up. $85 - $110 each time. This was very very inconvenient and I shouldn't had to stop in every state to fill up this UHual. I had to fill up 2 times in some states. The UHual was simply unacceptable.Christopher M.

Post St location was where I was scheduled to get a trailer, but no one was there. After calling I was sent to another location, which delayed my pickup by 45 minutes.Charles A.

Horrible experience i flew in from Atlanta had to catch two Lyfts to get each location truck was changed location didn't have the truck neither did the new location i had get a bigger truck which was way to much space i only had a 1 bedroom apartment. The link for the condition had expired before I could rate the trailer. The trailer is in good condition except for some dents and scratches around the trailer body and 1 marker light on the left front has the rubber seal missing to hold it in. Tires looks good. All lights work. Basically just normal wear and tear. Thanks for your help. I will always use U- Haul. Jeff MartinJeffrey M.
During my experience I was never given a code to get in and out of the gate to get into the rental facility with that being said my vehicle was locked on the property and I had to wait outside the gate for at least an hour if not more for a customer to enter the property do use their storage. The worst part about this location is that there is no emergency contact number for after hours so if you get locked in or out of the gate you're screwed! The security system needs to get updated so that people can exit at all times without a PIN number . Overall the customer service with the two gentleman at the counter earlier on in the day were wonderful to work with thanks again.Joshua T.

This is the nicest, cleanest UHaul vehicle I have ever driven. It had 1000 miles on it- practically brand new. The gentleman operating the facility were very efficient, friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend themðŸ˜ŠLyn D.

HInform and involve customers of any last minute changes. Do not send a text message of notification and think it was received. This was unprofessional, unfounded, unimaginable, and unnecessary!!!! I pray I never have to use your company again. I will find other means of getting belongings where they need to be. This did involve my son who is a college student and if you all couldn't handle the work load, you should have been honest and up front. Twenty five miles away from my home for pickup that took miles away from us. Finally, If we had know we could have picked the vehicle up on Friday, instead of getting a change of location text), our trio would not have extended into a 3am return home.Valencia H.

Parking is a bit difficult at this location. I reserved a 26' truck several weeks in advance of our move date. I received a call the day before and was told that our pickup location was changed. The next day, I arrive to pick up the truck only to be told that they didn't have a truck for me. Overall, very unhappy with my experience.Tyler S.

The location was poor, I couldn't get the size uhaul truck that I wanted because the lock box wouldn't open, I was late to where I needed to go because of the issue, and when I brought it back I was overcharged.DEJA H.

I was overcharged for miles I did not use. AFM said I had 180 miles when returned. I only went 30 miles in my city only. I ended up paying $268.15. They would not reduce my fee, the odometer is messed up. How can I drive 180 miles round trip from my home to storage unit & back??? I was not informed about being able to drop of trailer when their office was closed on Sunday. I was charged for an extra day even though they were closed and I called to inquire about dropping trailer off on Sunday. In my opinion, this is not good business practice.
