Hire professionals!! Not some kid who tries to rent you a truck with a nail in it!! His exact words - just go ahead and take it and see if holds air and to call U-Haul for road side assistance if you have any issues!! SAD SERVICE AND WILL NEVER RENT FROM U-HAUL AGAIN!!

I was not informed ahead of time that I would have to use my phone to get on the company's Wireless and take a picture of my driver's license Etc this was not what I was expecting I have done many reservations online before and just show up and pick up the truck I'm not very good with the phone and I think I should have been told ahead of time that my expertise on a cell phone was needed I didn't like that at all I don't think you are considering the age of some of your customers and the technological skill of the average person or even the anomaly it wasn't right and I was mad about it but I did learn something new. However I don't think U-Haul should B teaching us how to use an app on her cell phone I should be able to go to the office pick up a truck and leave like I always have without having to employ my cell phone in the matter what if I didn't have my cell phone I'm just SOL she asked me do you have the phone that you reserved the truck on and I did it online so not everyone orders things or Reserve trucks on a phone what are you going to do then say too bad you have to have a phone why couldn't the office just take a picture of my driver's license if they wanted my driver's license why do I have to use my phone to do that you all are demanding way too much of people. I just want the truck that I ordered online why bother having an online reservation and you don't even tell us ahead of time that we are going to need our phones that's ridiculous not everyone has a cell phone either

Total mileage for the use of the truck was 7 miles (from leaving the Uhaul parking lot, picking up the load, dropping it off, and back to Uhaul). I was charged additionally for 3.6 gallons of gasoline, which is impossible to use in 7 miles (and impossible to discern on a vehicle with a 40 gallon tank and a gauge that only reads in quarters of a tank). No effort has been made on their part to investigate or correct this since it has been brought to their attention. I do not recommend using their services.

I was satisfied with the vehicle, but I was not pleased with the fact that I was charged an additional amount for going a few miles over, (less than 10). I returned the rental a day ahead of scheduled and the fuel level was 1/3 more than the amount at pickup. I feel that there should be some lead way as to the few miles over.

Check upper left/front corner. Seal around the reinforcement cap is showing gaps that will definitely allow rainwater, moisture and insects to permeate the inside of this particular truck.

A 15ft truck should hould have an extra safety step to get in and out of the vehicle . I fell getting out of that truck because of the very high step to the ground.

Reservations was changed without notifying us. We drove from out of town to the location where they originally said we was going to pick up the truck just to get sent way across town to Norfolk which was over 20 miles

I’m sorry I can’t remember the woman’s name who was there on Saturday, April 7, 2017, but she was great! Very helpful, very friendly, and we will certainly return to this location the next time we need to rent a truck simply because excellent customer service is hard to find now a days!

I reserved a handtruck and six blankets for furniture. Those were items I absolutely needed to have. When I arrived I was told that they were giving away to somebody else who wanted them at the last minute for a one-way trip. The worker did not care that they did not have any dollies or blankets and suggested that I cancel my order. This was a rare opportunity that I trusted uhaul with my moving needs and I will never do that again and I will encourage everyone I know to not trust Uhaul.

The process of having to give the numbers of 2 people that you know and having them called right whenever trying to pick up the truck is very annoying. This should be stated before you are actually picking up the truck.

Tire needed air and due to no on-site pump I had to go to another location. Tank was not full of gas as was noted it was on the contract. Bed was dirty, lots of mulch and 2 fast food bags full of trash. Cab smelled like someone had been smoking.

I had issues with the diver side mirror falling jeopardizing my view. The tail light on the drivers side has a shortage. And I filled the tank up and would like a gas reimbursement for my troubles.

Every time I move, which is about every few years I have been renting for u-haul.. But this last move was more stressful than ever. Picking the truck at one location, tow dolly for another location to where they couldn't even find my reservation. Had to go to 3 different location when someone from uhaul should of had someone bring everything to one location as I'm the paying customer. When I looked up Budget I could of saved 83$ on my move but I would rather pay a little more cause I have always been satisfied. Thank god I get a free month of storage but for my unit 125$ a month now this is another issue that I don't want to get into. And drop off location dude at the counter was awesome it dudes the dude at the return truck wasn't so plesent he told me to go outside and get my miles and my gas. I'm the paying customer. OVERALL... Not the best expirence that I have had in the past

I waited half an hour at the location on my registration only to be told I had to go to another location for the truck. This was annoying on a busy day.

The person working the front desk was friendly. Although it was reserved, I was told that the dolly was not available but that I could drive up the road (aren't I paying by the mile?) In the opposite direction to get one from another location. This did not bode well for a group of 4 females moving. Also, the truck was dirty. Previous users dirty paper towels and some sticky drink mess on the console. Was very disappointed in the over all service. This was my first and last time using this provider.

Had a problem with U-Haul being stuck in the muddy snow while moving. Cost me $75. to have U-Haul removed from mud. Other than that it was a fine rental. Thank you kindly for your services. Should have had road side service to aid me at a lower price.

Truck was fine but this location claimed it was at half tank. I didn't expect the info to be incorrect regarding fuel and mileage and honestly didn't notice until I was already involved in my move. I returned the unit with a half tank so as not to get charged a higher rate per gallon by U-Haul. This cost me $15 even thought I'd only drove 10 miles. I noted this on my contract when I returned and asked for a credit and provided my fuel receipt. It was ignored and processed without any credit. I called to complain and they said I had no proof. Because they chose to ignore my contract comments and my fuel receipt. I would not use this location again.

Mark the drop off slot more prominently and increase the lighting near the door/dropoff. It was really sketchy at night. Mark the parking lot better, since you share it with IHOP.

Every thing went very smoothly and professionally. It was a good experience. The van was easy to drive, worked perfectly for our moving job. The internet reservation was intuitive and easy to use, the person who checked us in and out was good.

I returned the truck in exactly the same condition I picked it up, but they charged me a $25.00 "cleaning" fee. I returned the truck with about 4 gallons less than when I picked it up, but they charged me $60 for gas. I would never rent a truck from this location again. Ray Hogge (757) 650-3307

Are pick up and drop off locations were both changed by Uhaul. We were not notified by anyone from Uhaul about the pick up location change I found out when I called the night before picking up the truck. The truck was full of dog hair and smelled like dog. We had to vacuum it and use spray to try to get rid of the smell. When we dropped off the truck it took well over 30 minutes for some to assist us.

I dropped off my rental equipment a day early and after hours. The next morning, I received a very rude call from an employee named Shanita. She informed me that I would need to immediately come back to the location and remove the extra boxes from the back of the truck. I was under the impression, per U-Haul's policy, that there was a 100% buy back guarantee for any unused boxes. At the very least, if U-Haul or this facility would not buy back the boxes, I assumed they would want to make them available for future customers, free of charge. Apparently not. Shanita was rude and abrasive over the phone. She threatened to charge me a cleaning fee for leaving the boxes neatly stacked in the back of the truck, unless I immediately returned to the location to retrieve the boxes. When I inquired about the buy-back policy, Shanita abruptly reminded me that this was not a U-Haul location, and it was just an authorized representative but independent storage facility. Sure enough, when I came back to the location to retrieve the boxes, I was met with an advertisement outside the facility that stated, "We Buy Your Boxes." I didn't even bother going inside to ask Shanita about this, and instead retrieved the boxes and promptly threw them out, wasting perfectly good boxes for future customers (I had no use for them anymore and no space to store them). It is no surprise to me that Shanita is working the Sunday morning shift at this location. She clearly does not have the interest of current customers in mind, nor does she have the forward insight to think about future customers who might have benefited at the very least from my free supplies. This experience really left a sour taste in my mouth, especially after everything at the DC location went so well.
