I spoke to a U-Haul rep to arrange a rental. I requested a truck and indicated that it would be driven to the U.S. I did request the Elizabeth Road location but was told I had to go to Regent Avenue since it would be driven to the U.S. The pick-up time was 7:00 a.m. I arrived at the Regent Avenue location shortly after 7:00 a.m. only to find out I was now had to go to Elizabeth Road. That was where I wanted to go in the first place. Also at the Elizabeth Road location the clerk told me it was a 10 a.m. pick-up. No, I had specifically talked to a U-Haul rep to arrange this. I said absolutely no and I wanted the vehicle now. There is no communication from U-Haul when there are changes. This was a major inconvenience and very disappointing.

How U-Haul Reviews WorkThe only thing was refilling the gas tank. We had under 50 kms of driving and I ended up putting in $16.00 worth of gas. The people before me did not refill the tank. And I just kept filling it up. Either your gas milage is really bad or I was too honest.

LORRAINE RMy recent rental experience was completely unacceptable due to the severe, unsafe mechanical condition of the vehicle. Even before I loaded any cargo, the truck was clearly outdated and poorly maintained. The automatic transmission was hesitating and struggling significantly during gear changes, making it difficult to accelerate safely. Additionally, there were alarming and strange noises coming from all over the vehicle throughout the entire drive. Renting out a vehicle in this condition is a major safety hazard. I felt completely unsafe driving it, which added immense stress to my move. Because U-Haul failed to provide a reliable vehicle, I am requesting a formal safety review of this truck and a fair reimbursement for the terrible experience.
