Reserved a 26' truck a month out just to get to the original location i reserve it from to be told (after a 45 minute wait) that they can't let me have a truck because the two they had one was not in working order while the other one had no key??? So after nearly an hour i was told to go to the state line location and they would get me a truck. The guy there did an excellent job and i was able to get a truck within 10 minutes of arriving. Also, i never got a call like i was told by uhaul prior to my scheduled reservation to confirm my truck or reservation...why? This has happened to me twice out of the last three rentals in which i has to go to another location in order to get a truck. There seems to be zero communication between uhaul and its customers when it comes to that which is critical in my opinion when you are on a timeline! I had movers waiting on me for over an hour when a simple phone call at least the day of my reservation letting me know the situation of not having a truck could have been prevented. The lady should have known she did not have a truck and could have called me ahead of time or Uhaul should have called that location reminding them of the reservations for that day so things of this nature can be avoided. Also, the truck i was given only had about an 1/8 of tank of gas so i has to fill up before i even got back to my house to load up which once again cost me valuable time!JOHNNY T.

I originally booked my Uhaul online and booked a 15' truck for 10:30am. When I booked, it did not indicate the equipment I requested was not available at that location for my requested time of 10:30am. I got a phone call from Uhaul the evening before I was to pick up the reserved truck telling me the equipment and time I requested was not available and it would be after 3:30pm before I could pick up my requested truck size. I already had my help scheduled and had to travel out of town to pick up my things I needed to move. In order to be able to get done what I needed to get done, I was forced to reserve a 20' truck and pay the higher price. I picked up the truck at 10:30am and returned it same day before 5pm. There was no discount for early return of equipment. That seems to me to be a bait and switch situation which benefitted only the company and screws customers out of more money. I do not plan to use Uhaul services again and will recommend my friends and anyone else not to use them due to their poor business practices!!!Melanie C.

Our truck was stolen from the location as we entered the building. A â€œwoman â€œ was standing near the front door shouting and talking loudly and to a couple of employees and as we passed through the door in to the building people that were out there with her ran into the building yelling that she had stolen our vehicle. The woman had in deed stolen our truck and took off on a very busy street. The police chased her down and we retrieved the truck but she had done something with the keys and we had to go home and get the spare keys to get the truck. The management should have had the woman removed from the property before we arrived. Our entire schedule was shot because it was a good 4 hours before we were finally able to get the trailer and go start loading. The people who were going to help us to load had left and our entire move was thrown in to Chaos. It was a nightmare!KATHRYN G.

The U Haul representatives at the Stateline Ave. location are courteous and professional. My only negative (nothing to do w/ the employees) is that the outside lot area is too small. On a busy day w/ more than 3 prospective customers it can be really cluttered. The indoor staging area is great. Particularly during inclement weather. I suppose this counters the small outside lot. But still, they need a larger outside parking area. Especially due to the fact that customers are pulling onto the small lot directly from a busy thoroughfare.Torrance M.
