In my opinion there is way too much inventory at that location. One customer parked poorly and it barely left any space. So move some of the trucks to another nearby lot and maybe a big "Pull Forward Night Parking" sign. Other than the absurd amount of inventory, the rental was awesome, great service. Thanks!

Grado:

We were deceived about rental costs; insurance, dolly, pads were not one time charges as we understood, very unhappy about paying triple what we expected (on top of what we already knew was exorbitant $1.07 per MILE). The location was cramped and check-out process was very slow. When we got back, lot was too full to park the truck. Would not use again.

This place was in the neighborhood and I've used them in the. The service was great . I did move mid month so there wasn't a mob of people. I recommend reserving the truck you need in advance.

Everything was wrong with this rental. I reserved a 20 ft truck at El Cajon and 43rd. I was told I had to drive 3+ extra miles (7 round trip) to get a 26 ft truck. First problem. Then the truck was too big to make the turn into my lane and we had to park it illegally on the street, which required me paying my movers for 3 hours to load it which should have been no more than two, because of all the extra walking. Then, the truck was a POS. It shook when it went above 50. I mean REALLY shook. So that added to the time. Then I called to say I'd be a little late, it was due at 1645, and I parked it at 1713. When I got to the storefront, it was locked. No one said a thing about this, neither when I picked it up or when I called. Just crappy service all the way around. I will NEVER use UHaul again. I almost went to Penske this time, but I decided to keep the reservation with you just to keep things simple. It was NOT simple. It was awful. Never again.

Grado:

The second drop off locations (Adams Ave) was a good experience and the staff was friendly. The issue with the drop off was the original location provided. This location on El Cajon Blvd was not open on Sunday and we were unable to reach anyone off site. While I had the U-Haul reserved until 6/5, I planned this drop off for the weekend and would expect to be able to drop off seamlessly. The misstep caused a delay in our long trip back to the Bay Area. The U-Haul customer service rep was friendly and was able to find another location very close for us to drop off, but the experience would have been much better if the first intended drop off location was correct.

Grado:

The Uhaul smelled horrible. It had this awful smell of cigarettes and/cigars. Employee/Owner should have certainly opened the windows to air the van out.

Jamie M. en

Grado:

Person behind the counter walked by me and my friend while we were standing in line without acknowledgement and we did not feel welcome. He hardly looked at either of us while we were picking up the truck. Hire friendlier people.

JOHN STRONG R. en

Grado:

Much better experience at drop off. Helpful staff and much better service.

Grado:

Though the truck was clean in the back, the front of the truck was dirty! The Adams Street customer rep was somewhat aloof.

Grado:

Miguel was friendly and personable. He cleaned most of the truck, but the cabin was still a little dirty. Appreciated his help.

Maria in Trafficking was amazing, I was late returning rental and she was very helpful and offered me 45 more minutes and accommodated me with returning closer to my home. Gentleman at the drop off location was nice and helpful.
