This was my first time renting a U-Haul from this location, and I have great memories of renting a storage room here years ago. This year, I rented four U-Hauls for my move and my mother’s move. I usually rent from a place on De Zavala that I love, but since they are closed on Sundays, I decided to try this location on Fredericksburg, as it was the closest and open. Unfortunately, my experience here wasn’t as pleasant as I had hoped. The lady on the property seemed a bit unfriendly. When I asked a question about a different step in the process, she stated, “We do things different around here.” I was just trying to understand because I hadn’t received the next step to complete the truck pickup. It turned out that the picture of my driver’s license I took was unclear, so I had to redo it. With no help from her, I managed to sort everything out on my own and get the keys. When I asked if someone else could drop off the truck, because I was in some pain, she said, “No, because I was the one who rented it, and if somebody else dropped it off, she would flag my account.” I explained that I’ve rented from U-Haul before and added drivers who’ve dropped off the truck. She mentioned she wasn’t affiliated with U-Haul and had her own rules. Despite this, I added a driver through the app and confirmed with U-Haul that another person could indeed drop off the truck. The rep from U-Haul stated, “ I apologize for the unprofessionalism from this location; your account will not be flagged. Not sure why this was even mentioned. “ When I informed her, she argued, but I decided to end the conversation. Overall, the process here took longer and was more challenging than at other locations I’ve used. The truck itself was clean, but had a very strong odor of urine. In the future, I’d rather wait a day and drive further to get a U-Haul than return to this location.

Marjorie HBe on time and not pick favorites out of paying customers. Rude lady at the desk who was arriving at opening times both pick up and return day like a customer instead of an employee then, she was bad at customer service. She was not prioritizing customers trying to be at work after returning equipment in order to slowly check someone in for 30 minutes seems to enjoy making things worse and hard for customers will never recommend this location or return here.
ROXANNE GThe truck drove well however I can tell that it had not been cleaned inside for a while. Plus was under the impression that the truck had a ramp and when I got to the location where I needed to load my items, to my surprise there was no ramp. The 3 stars were mainly for Lucy's customer service. She was very patient and kind. She is a very pleasant person.
