The U-Haul at 7175 S Power Rd in Queen Creek, AZ, is one of the best U-Haul facilities I've been to in my many years of renting U-Haul vehicles. The staff is most efficient and friendly; I couldn't ask for better service.

For apparently no reason whatsoever my account suddenly has an alert that no longer allows me to use 24/7 rideshare. This alert can't be removed despite my identity being verified on multiple occasions. What used to be a minute process for pickup now takes 2 hours. No one can provide an explanation or solution.

I reserved the wrong size truck for my move and the General Manager was EXTREMELY helpful. She (thankfully) has the next size up, explained what was going to happen with canceling the other truck and got me the right size very quickly. I could not have been more pleased! Even before that, the employee who proceeded my initial rental was wonderful as well! Honestly I am sad I am moving, now that I found such a great U-Haul.

Notify a customer before they arrive to pick up the truck that the size they reserved was not available. We are not comfortable driving a Uhaul bigger than a 15' and had to be tense all day. We would have been happy to drive two more miles up the road had we known in advance. We then received a voicemail the next day that we were late returning our truck and would be charged more money, if we didn't return the truck right away. We had returned the truck the night before around 9pm and left the keys in the overnight drop box. So I was a little shocked to receive the message. A better double check of trucks may be needed to be put in place at this new Uhaul location. Both employees that took care of us were trying to go above and beyond to help us get a truck ASAP. So staff that helped us was lovely! Better procedures practices may be what is needed.

Please let me start by saying I am an elementary school special education teacher. I only bring this up because in doing my job I feel I am an extremely patient and easy going person, but the employees at this location were so extremely rude and uninterested/uncaring about customer experience that I left the facility nearly having canceled my reservation and so angry and insulted that it took me a while after returning home to calm down. To paint the picture, there were two employees working and both were behind the desk - one sitting and the other standing. As I describe the events keep in mind at no time did either employee move from behind the desk to check on vehicle returns or customers outside. I arrived to pick up a truck I had reserved weeks in advance and the facility was pretty busy, no problem. I entered the office area and there was a couple being helped and two other gentlemen in line after them. Shortly after entering, the seated employee (it seemed as though the one standing was a trainee, because the other constantly told her she would show her things later as they completed transactions), said,"We are an extremely small facility can I please have you wait outside to keep some space." No problem, we are all living in a world of social distancing. The other two gentlemen must not have seen it this way and left, but I had a reservation and continued to wait leaning on a pole right outside the office door. Another customer entered, without the other couple having left, and I was a little peeved she obviously wasnt being asked to wait outside and after about five minutes she came out with her arms full of boxes and left...the couple came out with her and actually helped her to carry some boxes to her vehicle. I had been asked to wait outside, there were now two vehicles waiting to be returned and I figured one of the two would come to the door of the 'extremely small facility' and ask for the next person...didnt happen. Another customer showed up and went inside and after about a minute it was obvious he had not been asked to wait outside. Let me say it was already 91 degrees outside and I had been waiting patiently for about 20 minutes, although feeling neglected I had already begun looking online for a replacement truck at a facility down the street, and my wife was in the car waiting as well. So, when this new customer entered and was not asked to leave I had had enough and intended to poke my head in the door, say just cancel my reservation and go down the street and pick up the truck I was only a couple of button presses away from reserving. When I opened the door, the other customer was walking out, but the two employees were still behind the desk in the nicely air-conditioned room seemingly oblivious the growing crowd outside. The seated one asked how my day was going and I said "shitty" which set the tone for our interaction. At no point did she apologize for the wait, or for leaving me outside in the heat or even offer me a bottle of water, she simply stated,"Oh, I thought you had left." At this point all decorum was lost, because she had confirmed her disinterest in helping me or even bothering to get up out of her seat and look out the door to see what had become of the three customers she had asked to wait outside (not to mention the new vehicles being returned. Admittedly, I was hostile in demeanor, but she continued to escalate her level of rudeness to the point of this interaction. She kept asking me questions about insurance and how many miles, all of which I had filled out in my reservation and I felt as though she had not even bothered to look it up saying she had to verify who I was, but none of the questions had to do with that. Finally, when asked if I wanted the $14 insurance I asked what is it for and what does it cover. She was visibly perturbed and said the truck.I replied, I recalled there being multiple types of insurance offered and asked which plan the $14 one was. She again just said it covers the vehicle of any damage. I repeated I just want what ever I signed up for 3 weeks ago when I made the reservations, she stated then thats a yes and moved on with the transaction as if she had smugly won something. Eventually she gave me the key, saying I can find the truck next door, with no indication or gesture of where next door was and I walked out ranting and shared the experience with my wife who was in disbelief. Once I found the truck and got in, I reviewed my receipt and sure as shit, she had charged me the $14...I was like whatever at this point because no amount of money was worth me EVER dealing with that lady again! I will surely be regaling my friends and family with my tale of woe from this facility for years to come and will not go back...there are plenty of other truck rental facilities within 5 miles of this one. I hope your take away is that if I, an easy going and patient man who stood in the heat when asked for 20 minutes, was as insulted and upset by this interaction what experience have other people had as this woman sits behind a desk oblivious to world outside her door?
