Uhaul had graffiti, was dented and not well maintained, staff were rude, not helpful, and inattentive. Staff were having personal conversations, were dressed unprofessionally, and were busy with their own cell phones. Not well managed.

I'd recommend it for pick up and drop off ONLY when the store is open! The customer service prep at the 48th & Chestnut Sts location in Philadelphia (female that worked 6/16/19, at about 10:30am, I didn't get her name), HUNG UP ON ME. Up until that point, her customer service was fine. I was complaining about the odometer in the truck and I was saying that the mileage used was inaccurate to my estimation. She told me no other customer ever complained and hung up on me. I will visit the site and get her name...I don't take well to disrespect, and I never disrespected her..at all.

Everytime I reserve a truck with the 24/7 truck share I still end up having to go inside to pick up the keys so I'm unsure of what it's point is.

Had reserved and completed most of the pickup business in advance. Pickup scheduled for 9a Sunday, arrived to find the door locked and approximately 5-10 customers waiting. The door was unlocked at 9:13 and I did not leave with the truck until 10a. Staff moved quickly once the doors were opened, but they were not expecting the volume of customers and did not appear to be on time. Also, the truck cab had a strong odor of fish, as if someone had eaten a meal there. There were visible food stains on the glove compartment.

I had a one way rental from Philadelphia to Middletown Delaware. I was told I would call for a drop off location. When I called I was told I would take the truck to Wilmington Delaware and I could set up storage at this place. I picked the truck up at 2 and arrived in Middletown 5-6. I was told the drop off location was closed and I was scheduled to drop off Sunday. I arrived in Wilmington at 10-11 am. I was processed for a storage unit. Walking into the building to check out the unit the odor was horrible. Rat/mouse traps everywhere. I expressed that I would not leave my things in a rat infested place. The worker replied well that is why we offer insurance. Again I called the 1800 number for U-Haul. I was transferred EIGHT times! I was told that a manager was not available. A manager was SUPPOSED to call me within 48 hours. this didn’t occur! I was billed for both a one way trip and daily. I just called again and the representative got frustrated with me asking for an explanation for how I can get charged for both a one way and daily so she hung the phone up! U-Haul management should resolve and compensate for ALL issues. Check our rep said total charges was 64 dollars all other money will be refunded. Asked specifically about initial rental was a one way. Was told that because the drop off was back in Philadelphia it is not a one way and would charge daily. Credit cars charges daily and one way.

Overall smooth process, but one major issue stood out to me. I booked a UHaul for a 3-day move, and I was quoted a price based on this timeline. However, when I showed up to pick up said UHaul, the company charged me an amount different from the one I was quoted. This is because they estimated that my trip would take 5 days rather than the quoted 3. I think this is a shady business move and UHaul needs to be more transparent about what it will charge its customers. If a move is quoted and booked for 3 days, that should be what the customer is required to pay.

This location was pretty slow. It may be because other people did not make reservations or plan ahead, but the wait time was pretty long. When I actually got up to check in, however, my process went very smoothly and quickly and the agent I worked with was friendly. It would be good, also, if there was someone there just to manage item sales (and not specifically truck reservations). Or maybe an option for self checkout for those items. I waited quite a long time to buy a few boxes, because other people were purchasing rentals.

Employees working at the University City location on June 3rd around 2pm were incredibly unprofessional. The gentleman that was working outside was face timing his girlfriend and telling jokes with the other employee on duty. Meanwhile there were 5 customers inside, waiting and not being assisted. No sense of urgency, no direction and I found that using the app was much more efficient.

This was a very busy uhaul. At 7am when doors were supposed to open, there were about 5-6 people in line waiting and only one employee to get each person set with the rentals. I think more staff would be valuable and would help improve the customer experience. Better signage marking the entrance and exit would also be useful. Last but not least, I think that the Uhaul online pricing should be more accurate and included fees added on site.

Customer service was awful. Rude, no hello, acted annoyed they had to work. When dropping off, huge line of parked uhauls and couldn’t get in to drop off ours. Had to go inside, wait in long like for 16 minutes just to tell the employee. He mumbled something, took my keys, and acted annoyed. I hope I don’t get charged for leaving it in line as I had to do my checkout via online.

I ordered 12 furniture pads/blankets. When I picked up the truck, the staff handed me two bag of the pads which were not probably folded and told me there are 12 of them. After returning to home and found out only 10. I tried to call them several times and was always placed on waiting for more than 10 min without connected. Finally, I have to leave due to the time constrain with the moving. As the results, we were 2 pieces short when we dropped off the truck in Lancaster.

I was flying in to Philadelphia and had selected a location close to the airport. The day before I leave I get moved to a different location. Quickly I had to figure out a new plan to get from airport to uhaul. Once there the truck was ready but had no furniture pads I had reserved weeks before. Just left a disappointing feeling about my move half way across the US. I think Uhaul could have done a better job.

I booked a 15 foot truck weeks before my move and was 30 min late picking it up due to traffic. When I got to the store I was told my reservation was cancelled and that they did not have a truck for me. I was asked to wait in line (took 1 hr) while my moving help was on the clock paid for no labor and then given a smallest truck after begging for it. I received no phone call when my reservation was cancelled and the truck I needed given to someone else even though I paid for the entire day online.
