Talking to customer service was difficult, . Was told they had system issues. Customer service was great when we switched rentals from one location to the other. Overall would use the service again and recommend the trailer to others

How U-Haul Reviews WorkI was rerouted to this location because the original did not have room for a trailer at the time. The first location was very helpful and did everything very quickly. I got to the Nisku location and it was a broken fenced yard very haphazardly in appearance. I parked the trailer and went to see where to complete the return. The gas/convenience place was a dark dingy hole that I didn't want to be in. I asked the guy if this was U-Haul. I told him I was returning a trailer and he said I couldn't because his system was down. I told him that's not my problem and the trailer was parked out back. I got told "Fuck You" and I was supposed to write my name down and there would be a charge if i wasn't returning it to the correct location. I told I can from the other location where I watched them forward my reservation so there will be no charge. He swore at me again so I left and told them how I felt about this conversation. I disconnected the trailer took pictures and left. Went back to the first place to complain and they were very helpful and courteous!
Michael NThe app communication with their system was not working and it would not take my credit card information that I had already used on the U-Haul application. Also this is not a comment on the Nisku location but rather the process itself for renting a vehicle. I do understand the need to get driver’s license information for the purpose of renting, I am just concerned when it comes to capturing that data digitally through a picture format particularly now that Alberta has started implementing driver’s licenses that also contain our Health Care numbers, that this is inherently risky. Given the sheer amount of data breaches recently, this is very concerning as it leads to a one stop shop scenario for data thieves looking to commit identity fraud. There has to be a better way of doing this.
