The guy at drop off seemed nice enough and apologize for the vehicle problems and I told him I had a list of things and I think you wrote down the first one and didn’t care about any of the rest of the items. This truck should not have been rented before being repaired! The front brake rotors were very warped, the front shocks were absolutely horrible, the right outside rearview mirror was very loose and made it totally unsafe to drive. Luckily we were driving together with my personal vehicle that had tools in it. I used the Allen wrench to tighten that mirror so that it would stay in an adjustment while driving down the freeway. Previous to tightening the mirror pivot it would go out of adjustment at anything over 25 mph. Also the right side windshield washer did not work at all. The truck also pulls to the right significantly. A lesser issue, but the tailpipe was also replaced at some point and done it a very bad angle and was hanging very low. In any case, I don’t know who expects these vehicles before they are rented, but somebody did not do their job and this vehicle should not have been rented to anybody from the general public. It was not safe as it was rented, but we had a tight timeline and just had to deal with it. I’m sure when I move the rest of my stuff I will not be using the U-Haul company. I’m sad to say.
