I found the staff to be incredibly rude, unhelpful, and unresponsive. They seemed to hate their jobs and had no interest in making my experience positive. There's a young latino guy there who literally wouldn't even acknowledge me. Two different times I said "Excuse me, can you help me out" and both times he behaved as if I was invisible and completely ignored me. I'm a bright, accomplished guy in my 40's. I know how a business is supposed to work and have reasonable expectations. Literally couldn't believe my eyes. Even though there was only one person ahead of me who had no idea what he wanted and had no reservation and was just sucking up a crazy amount of time while people were waiting, the other African American girl who worked there let me wait nearly half an hour before suggesting that I check myself in on my phone and then was totally reluctant to help me through the process and acted as though she was doing me a giant favor by doing any part of her job. I have never felt less welcome at any business. This place is a poorly managed disaster. The truck was fine but very old and all bashed up. The employees have horrible attitudes and are unprofessional. I cannot imagine coming back. This place clearly doesn't care about repeat business. Nor will they get any...

The woman who checked me in was AMAZING. She was nice, very professional, was able to multi task, managed multiple customers at once, all in a stifling hot room. Kudos to her! I would also to thank the man who helped me set up my auto tow. I really appreciate him taking the time to walk me through EVERTHING! I know he sensed my nervousness being that this was my first time towing anything (let alone cross country), and I am so grateful for his patience and thoroughness.

I reserved a 15' truck for 10 am on Saturday, Sept 2. I was running late, and got a call at 10:20 am asking if I was still coming in to pick up the truck. I told the employee that I was on my way and would be there within 20 minutes. 25 minutes later, when I showed up to pick up my truck, I was told that they had already rented out my truck and that there were none left for me. Instead of having the truck for the entire day as I planned, I ended up having to rent a smaller 10' truck, and could only use it for 4 hours (this was the best they could do, because someone else had it reserved at 3 pm). I was planning to move my entire apartment this past weekend in a U-Haul, but instead I had to rush to move my large items in the 10' truck so that I could return it in time, and then had to move the rest of my belongings in my partner's car. I realize that I was late for my reservation, but this system is ridiculous. If I reserve a truck for a particular day, I should get that truck the entire day, regardless of when I pick it up. I would rather pay for the truck ahead of time and have it the entire day than pay for it when I pick it up but risk them giving it to someone else.

This location was fine BUT I was sent here because another location was not open for business despite a reservation being made in advance. My time was wasted. I had to pay for my staff not working because I had to spend extra time picking up another truck from another distant location.

I was disappointed to find out I couldn't park in the lot and had to leave my car 4 blocks away (the street that they recommended was full). When I called earlier in the morning to ask if I could leave my car in the lot, I was told yes as long as I took out any valuables. I am guessing the call went to the call center and I was given inaccurate information. I would have preferred to be dropped off in this heat

Our experience was terrible because of a computer problem that seemed to stem from uhaul.com, not the location itself- it was not their fault. The website was not working properly and reservations were getting lost as a result. We got there about 8:40 for an 8:30 reservation, and there were 10 or so people ahead of us, who were all waiting for the computer issue to be resolved. In order to fix it, everyone had to make new reservations or create new accounts with the website in order for it to work. Not surprisingly this took forever. We ended up waiting for an hour before getting our van. It threw our whole day off. The ladies at the location handled it well, but we were terribly inconvenienced by this. There should be a better back-up option for dealing with reservations if the computer system is having issues. Thank you.

For my rental period, I actually dropped off the truck at Baldwin Hills due to Crenshaw being completely full. The service I received at Baldwin Hills was impeccable; general manager Russel and his employees were very personable, customer service oriented, and overall amazing. They had answers for all my questions and were able to accommodate my unique situation. This rating is for Baldwin Hills, as Crenshaw was not the location I completed my rental at.

Problems with returning the truck. Tried to charge me over $200.00 more than my actual rate. Manager not reachable and would not return my calls. Matter is not resolved as of today. PLEASE DO NOT CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD FOR YOUR MISTAKES. IT HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE.

Upon arrival there was a line, and the Manager, Tracy instructed each customer to register on their phones as the approached the counter. Waited in line for an hour when I could have done what I did while waiting in line. Then, they didn't even back out my truck for me, which was sandwiched tight between other trucks on a small lot. It was a nightmare trying not to hit anything. Upon exiting, the appliance dolly that I paid for wasn't in there. When asked, they said i was never charged, they charged me twice. Went in at 9am, left a t 10:30.

lady gave me a entirely new contract with all incorrect info. I was charged for 2 days vs. 3 hours. the tank was empty. logged incorrect information as the truck was taken back within 4 hours on the same day. charged over 500.

I had put in the optional drop off at costa mesa, but I changed the drop off location to Crenshaw when I picked up. Tracy approved the change of the location, but the contract was never updated. Therefore, when someone else tried to drop it off at this location the day after, the Crenshaw office refused to take the truck back. I was pretty upset about it because 1. the contract was never updated 2. it wasted my friends' time because they were turned back and did not know that the change of location was approved 3. When we dropped it off at the new Santa Monica location, we were charged the extra mileage fee, which included the extra 10+ miles. Pretty upset about the wasted time & money

Be sure to have sufficient gasoline in the rented vehicles before departure as customers have a time limit with their own schedule as well as the rental return.
