Heres a rundown.. I originally made a reservation at Noscrala Sign Management Hackensack, NJ.. I went there at my scheduled pick up time and there were no uhauls.. I called the number on my reservation and some lady answered who could barely speak English, telling me to call another number.. I tried calling that number and no one answered. I was essentially screwed until I found this well run location in Lodi, NJ that saved me.. imagine if I wasn't able to find another reservation? My move would have been screwed since I was leaving a building and needed to be out that day.. then I got a call later in the day from that uhaul dealership confirming why I didn't pick up my uhaul. That phone number they called me from was nowhere on my reservation. And they understood but it doesn't make up the fact I was almost screwed.. this Lodi place saved my ass, but it shouldn't have to be saved.. thanks.PHILIP P.
PLUS: Location was open on New Years Day and I was able to reserve a van within 15 minutes of realizing I needed one. Computer system was not working well and the attendant didn't know what was wrong. Took a very long time to check out and back in, which should have been seamless with the "online" check-out. I don't think this was the attendant's fault - sounds like it's on U-Haul's end. The van had both low tire pressure and "needs oil change" indicators on when I got in. I was only doing a quick 90 minute move of a couple of items (drove it ~20 mi round trip) so not a big deal for me, but would expect the vehicles to be maintained better.AVIGIL C.

Clarify the rest of the process!!!! It was emphasized online to do the whole process on the phone. Then I arrived at the location the next day at my scheduled time only to find out that the location doesn't use the online system!!! Honestly would like a refund because I was on time and no one came to help me. I called the number and stayed on hold for 30 minutes to be told that my transaction wasn't in the system. I almost had to pay again because my confirmation number wasn't showing that I finished paying once someone did show up and they looked me up. The truck was great but that 30 minutes was extremely frustrating. Please give me a refund.Dana B.

I rented a 15' truck. When I called to verify availability I was told it was there. When I picked it up I said to the man serving me that it didn't look like it was 15' long but he assured me it was. When I got to my place to load I had trouble getting all my stuff in; so I measured it. The truck was a 12' truck. While I was driving on a highway a large panel dropped off the dashboard onto my legs. This was not a pleasant experience.Allen O.

I rented a 15 foot truck. Check in was straightforward. Truck was as expected. I had reserved 24 furniture pads, but none were available. I was told to drive down 1/2 mile to UHaul Facility to get pads. They did not have them for 'rent' there either (although the offered to sell them to me for >$7 each. When I returned the truck I asked to make sure that I wasn't being charged for the pads. I was assured that I was not being charged, yet my invoice had a $20 charge for pads I did not receive. I am awaiting resolution. My recommendation is not to allow people to reserve equipment that you don't have available and only charge customers for equipment you are able to provide.Eduardo L.

We had made reservations on the phone the night before. When we went to pick up the truck the guys there had NO IDEA! It took us 1 1/2 hours to finally get the truck. We were over charged by approx. 89 dollars. They even started our time 1 hour before we left! The man told us there it is go and take it, and NEVER told us what one it was! Also the inside was gross! Had Gatorade bottle in door, that is how much they cleaned and sterilized it!! UGH!!!John S.

The representative told me that the gas tank is full and will have to â€œfill itâ€ up even though the meter on the dashboard was not completely on the full line. Did not have time to dispute because your company already sent me to a completely different and further location where I could not pick the truck up until 8 vs 7 am as we originally had agreed upon so I was running late. Then when I filled the truck I completely overfilled it. Don't say it's full when obviously it's not even close to full. I prolly put in $10 than is needed.Mateusz K.

I reserved and paid for a trailer to be picked up in the Saddle Brook location. They called me and asked me to come in our early cause one of them need to go home. When I got there they sent me to another location to pick up the trailer which charged me again for the same rental. Now I have to spend time on the phone with U-Haul to get my money back for paying twice for the same rentalMICHAEL T.
