Allow the ability to request a truck for greater than one day. It was kind of awkward when I arrived and requested an extension of the rental term.STEPHEN A.
The trailer I rented smelled like vomit when I opened it. It hadn't been cleaned out. A few sprays of bleach cleaner and a good wipe down took care of it, though. The saving grace is that it was quick and easy to pick up and drop off the trailer. I would definitely do it again.NICOLE LYNN N.

My originally reserved vehicle was not available for pick-up although it was guaranteed. I request a $50 refund like promised. Also, the vehicle I picked up didn't have a full tank which I pointed out to the representative on phone during the pick up process. I requested the refund of the fuel charge.Minghao Z.

The truck did not appear to have been checked lately. The oil check light kept coming on. I only had an in town move, so I didn't worry about it. Also the lock clips were not replaced on the dolly or the blanket bag, so I had to be sure to tell them that I didn't use them. They were polite and nice and it was no problem.JONI LAURENE P.

Trailer was not clean. Staff was incompetent, slow, and unable to assist customers. I spent 5 hours waiting for a trailer hitch install when I had made reservations the previous week. They did not honor my reservation, made me wait 5 hours, then tried to give me the keys to someone else's car. They made mistakes on my bill 3 different times because they couldn't work their own inventory system.ASHLIN T.

Two customers including myself were waiting for service and the lady that was at the desk didn't acknowledge our presence in anyway. I didn't expect her to get off the call-for a reservation-but not even eye contact. The instructions were not clear as to what to do with the truck key.Faith P.

I rented a 26 ft truck online for Saturday and was contacted by Uhaul and told I could not get it for Saturday so it was switched to Sunday. I picked up the truck on Sunday (the clerk was great). I loaded my items from our storage units and drove to our new home 60 miles away. After unloading the truck we then attempted to return the truck. I drove the truck to a gas station that was approximately 5 miles from the drop off station. When I got out of the truck to put gas in it I saw that the gas. Tank was on the passenger side and not the drivers side. I attempted to turn the truck around to get gas and the truck would not start. I attempted to contact Road services and all I got was a recording and no one would answer. I had to have my wife get on the internet and have them contact me by phone. I spoke with the representative and following her instructions it still would not start. At this point I was told that they would be sending out a representative. When the person arrived he was able to start the truck by giving it a jump however there was smoke and sparks coming from the engine. After the representative spoke with road services I then spoke with her and after telling her that the truck was empty I was told to put the keys to the truck on the floorboard and they would take care of the truck. I then drove back to our home and arrived at 1 am. At 10 am the next day I received a call from Uhaul wanting to know where the truck was. I told them I did not know and they needed to contact road services. I later received an email from them with an invoice showing I owed over $136.00 more than the estimated total that was given to me. I again tried to talk with them by phone (another mistake) and again no one would answer. I then drove back to Uhaul (60 miles one way) to talk with them about the bill. When I arrived the manager was not there and I spoke with an unknown female. The conversation did not go well and they wanted me to pay the total bill. After talking with them they took off the gas charge (almost $90.00). During the conversation when I told them that the person that I talked with on the phone told me to put the keys on the floorboard I was told they would never say that and I told her that's exactly what I was told. If you drive or pull one of their vehicles and break down good luck having anyone answer there phone at 1 800 Go Uhaul. No one answers and you have to contact them by internet. They should try it themselves and call the number and see if they can get anyone to answer. What a joke.RICHARD H.
we were charged for an extra day. We had to argue with the staff who were insistent that we had picked up our truck the day before even when we showed them our reservation. We were also charged for fuel even though we returned it with more fuel than it had when we picked it up. it was a pain to get refunded. Other than that the facility was clean.TODD K.

I was told by several U-Haul employees over the course of the entire experience both by phone and in person that the 15 foot truck was â€œmore than enoughâ€ for a two bedroom apartment of less than 900 ft.Â². Unfortunately, it did not even come close. I had to make an entire second, unplanned, unexpected and expensive trip to get the rest of my stuff with a different trailer I borrowed from a friend. It was a lot of unnecessary driving, expense, stress, overwhelming frustration and anxiety. It could have all been avoided and I would've had a 100% wonderful experience working with U-Haul if I would have been in advance told by at the very least one person to get a larger truck. I asked everyone, expressing my concern that my truck wasn't large enough every time I talked with anyone. Every person that I spoke with on the phone locally (Kalispell) and that I worked with in person locally (Kalispell) was very, very nice, friendly, and pleasant. I'm just extremely disappointed that I relied on the Uhaul website and the employees expertise to get the right sized truck based on the information Uhaul provided. I rented it online weeks in advance and would've happily gotten a larger truck if the website would've been accurate with their sizes of what could fit. And if any one of the Uhaul employees would've told me to get a larger one.SHONDA J.
