Didn’t have anything I reserved. Two working people inside when I arrived. No one else there but it still took them 10 minutes to even acknowledge I was standing in front of them because they were on the phone. Only one of them was on a business call. When I dropped off, the woman was busy texting so she only used one hand to inspect the truck so she needed help opening the door. She couldn’t even bother two use two hands to do her job.

Please make sure smokers do not leave their smoke scent within then vehicle. Some people do have medical conditions to where it triggers their asthma and other things. As far as one of the movers that y’all have listed as a company should be removed due to their mannerism, and not completing their job

Fix your card machine. I don't like giving you my card number, 3 digits on the back, and zip code to make a purchase when your machine isn't working. Also it would be great if the process didn't take so long and employees were trained. It literally took about 25 minutes to rent a dolly. I also paid 60 dollars to rent a 10 dollar dolly. Are deposits really necessary if a card is already on file at the time of rental.

the gas tank was at the wrong level; the process took about 20 minutes even though I filled out all the paperwork beforehand; the van I drove said "19.99 for in-town moving" and I paid $100+ even though I was moving in town; the mobile phone online check in didn't work (even though I turned my location on in my settings).... the list goes on. I will never use U-Haul again and I will be sure to actively tell others how awful and expensive your services are.

The new “24/7 truck share” check-in process was ridiculous. It took far longer than a normal check-in, and at the end you have to go inside and stand in line anyways to get the key.

The truck was turned over to me with only 1/4 tank of gas. The low fuel warning came on before I had even gone 20 miles. This was extremely inconvenient and shouldn’t be normal business practice.

I rented a 6 foot wide trailer but the gate was less than 5 foot wide and made the trailer unusable. I wasted money on this as I could not get what I needed into it.

This was the worst experience of my life. I have never written a bad review because I think the world has enough complainers, but this is worthy of my time. We stood in line at the 34th street location in Houston for over 1.5 hours. Everyone in front of us had reservations, but had to redo them all because the computers were having problems. When it is my turn (finally) they tell me that the lady that was ahead of us had the same last name as me and our reservations were combined. I was assured they were going to fix it and take care of the issue. That new reservation took approx 30 min. So we were there a total of about 2 hours processing a rental for which I had a reservation. From there, we get the trailer hooked to up to find that one of the back lights didn't work. So we hitched up to another....To find out the lights didn't work...finally hooking up to a third trailer that finally worked. This process took an hour. So we were at the facility from 10:30 am to approx 1 pm. We got a one way rental and dropped off the trailer at the Eastex Frwy location in Beaumont. Where I was assured by the employee, he would take care of the return. Fast forward to Monday. I look at my account to see not only had the trailer not been returned, but I had 2 trailers checked out to me AND the lady that was ahead of me with the same last name was on my account as well and my credit card was linked to her rental. I called the 1-800 number and was on hold the first phone call just a little over 1.5 hours. The representative was very nice, but was ultimately told no one could help me because all the corrections had to be processed at the locations. Keep in mind...you can't call the locations because their number goes straight to the call center. I then called back to get a floor manager, who was incredibly helpful and did her best, but said that the locations had to fix the "mistakes". She said she would reach out to the Houston and Beaumont facilities for me and have them call me. No one did. I ended up getting a cell number for the GM of Beaumont who was able to help me. She cleared up the confusion and corrected everything on my account. At the end of the day, this process took 5 hours. So would I recommend UHAUL for my rental needs? Absolutely not, but I can give recommendations of good employee's that need to work for a better company with a better system.
